Bought these for my husband after he had shoulder surgery and could not tie his shoes for 6 weeks. I purchased the same size as his other New Balance shoes but this pair did not fit. It was shorter and narrower than a similar pair he had that tied. We sent them back for a 1/2 size longer and a wide width instead of medium. The exchange went smoothly and we appreciated the fact that we did not have to wait for the shoes to be received by Zappo's before they sent the replacement. I did the entire transaction online and it was really convenient. The second pair fit much better and were comfortable but squeak slightly when he walks. We will keep them for the convenience of the velcro for his recovery from surgery but I would not recommend or buy another pair.

Comfortable shoes. Easy to get on and off. Good support. Light weight. I highly recommend these for walking.

I purchased these for my dad who is an active 90-plus year old. Unfortunately he's prone to falling and multiple pairs of these shoes have seen him through several stints in physical rehab when he can't bend over to tie his laces. (I also purchased the women's version for my mom after she broke her hip.) Please keep carrying them! Love, the shopping daughter

These are the best shoes for my father, who is losing his ability to walk. They are comfortable, stable, and easy for the caregivers to get on and off. They fit his somewhat wide feet. This is his second pair. His first one lasted a bit more than a year, if I recall correctly. However, I won't buy his third pair from Zappos unless you stop selling Ivanka products. She and her family should not be using the highest office of the land to benefit their business interests. The country which my father served his whole working life is not for sale. I'm also considering stopping buying New Balance altogether for similar reasons.

Hubby loves the velcro and these shoes look most like regular athletic shoes that tie.

I bought these shoes for my 70 year old husband who has wide feet to begin with (4 W), but with health issues they had become swollen. I didn't think that there was a shoe he could wear. These shoes are WONDERFUL! They were easy to slip on he doesn't even need to use his shoe horn. He said that they are comfortable, and they do look nice. I plan on getting another pair in white for the summer. Yeaa, New Balance!

I bought these for my dad because the NB 475? velcro strap shoes were no longer available. He bought another brand because he needed something. He has neuropathy and also a problem with swelling in his feet, so a good fitting shoe is important to him. He loves these shoes. He says they are more comfortable than the ones he bought that were not NB shoes. He wears these shoes instead of the other brand shoe he just bought. I ordered the 9.5 2E and the fit was perfect.

Bought these shoes after I really all of the wonderful reviews. They're actually for my father who is diabetic and has lots of problems with his feet. He wore these right out of the box and fell in love with them. The velcro really makes it easier to put on his shoes since he is blind.

Mediocre sneaker. Feels like a slipper. Not snug, no arch support, none of that nice rubber bounce you get from good NB sneakers. It's just there. Meh.

This purchase was the third attempt to find a velcro style shoe for my husband who is in a nursing home. Didn't know his size would be so hard to find. So glad for free shipping and returns!
