The tongue is attached with a big clump of thread and extra material left on the inside of the shoe, pushing on the top of the foot.

These are my all-around shoe for everything from yard work to errands, work, and walking with friends. For the most formal occasions I do have a pair of lace-ups, but mostly they collect dust! Eventually, the hook-and-loop on these starts loosing its grab; that takes a long while, but then it's time for a new pair. I hope NB never discontinues these!

These are certified walkers to go just about anywhere including doctor visits, dentist, and even to see the side chick for unparalleled applications

They fit my feet perfect -- been purchasing for the past about 15 years -- they last about shy 3 years (walking a lot) and daily use

I have problems with the right side shoe.the left shoe fit perfectly.

Been buying NB for decades. One reason is the consistent fit. These are so narrow, they are embarrassing to wear. Love to return them.

I bought this sneaker before and liked it , i have a wide foot so i need a sneaker that comes in wide so i don't squash my foot.

The shoes fit like a 3 x wide all around. My feet are round wide feet yet these shoes felt bulky

Got a size 14 and they shoe did not fit. Very unappealing.

I have no negatives. Width of shoe is as advertised. Straps are just the right length unlike some other shoes where they are too long.

I will were my new shoes every day. This brand and model shoe has been my main shoe for decades. As I have grown older the size has changed from 7 1/2 to 8, but I still wear the quadruple E width. I would recommend New Balance shoes to friends and family memberts.

Soft comfortable shoes. I have always bought this style with laces. Now I decided to buy it with velcro. The only problem is that one of the straps does not stick to the velcro very well. Not used to having any problems with New Balance products. Any suggestions would be very helpful

Don't know what to do with the shoe. I wish I knew what took the place of the walking shoe 656. Was hoping the mens 577 was comparable and comfortable like the 656 walking shoe, but unfortunately, it is not.

First, I've worn New Balance shoes for a long time, and I always bought size 12 extra wide. Sometimes it was a perfect fit, sometimes too short. So on a whim I went to the New Balance web side to order -- and you had size 12.5 extra wide, exactly what I needed. I had never seen 12.5 in any of the stores in this area. I tried a 13 once -- not a good fit at all. These are the correct size, they're very comfortable and they provide great support. I'll be shopping online from New Balance from now on.
