I'm getting ready to order another pair. I like these because of the wider toe box area. The traditional narrowing of the toe in shoes make my toes hurt. It's the main reason I wear men's shoes because of the wider toe box area.. and my feet are too big for women's sizes without special order. They seem to have a style for all types of feet so figure out what works for you and your lifestyle. I need the 577 wide toe box style. I think the 576's were better but these will do. As for the squeaking...very easily remedied by rubbing a small amount of petroleum jelly along the tongue sides that rub against the side of the shoes. No more squeaks.

These shoes are great for walking. I need a narrow size and it really helps to have a properly sized shoe. They provide great stability.

I am very happy to have found this shoe. I have a difficult to fit foot, being very wide and having had surgery on my left foot. This shoe fit perfectly right away, which is a total miracle.

Yet another great pair of New Balance shoes. My large husband with wide feet finds them very comfortable and durable.

I wear these for work because my work shoes have to be all black and these are great. These shoes are very comfortable, even after 6-10 hours moving around on my feet. They're very cozy, they sides feel like pillows on my feet, these really are great work shoes. They feel big, but aren't they're like a tennis shoe boot, I love them.

If you have been having problems with trying to finding Asics that are of good quality, you may want to try New Balance. This is a great walker!! Nice narrow fit. Great support. I tried this together with the Saucony Omni and the only reason I returned the New Balance was because I liked the Saucony a wee bit better. It was a toss-up however. I almost kept both. I highly recommend trying this New Balance. What has happened to Asics is beyond me.

As a diabetic, I was looking for shoes that would not pinch my toes and had plenty of room. As a businessman, I needed shoes that look decent with a coat and tie. The MW577 fit the bill. However, I had a hard time getting a pair that fit me right. I wear an 11½D in most other shoes, and have a narrow heel. But with the MW577, that is way too small for my feet. I tried a 12D, that was too narrow. 12E, still was too narrow. Only a 12EE fit. I would recommend these shoes as comfortable and good looking - just make sure you get the size that fits you right.

My son is a young man with wide, flat, feet, characteristic of his sown ayndrome, and has worn New Balance since a teen, 5E. With his 230 pound weight, he would go through one pair a year, and the cheapos from Walmart would only last a few months. Both those kinds would be misshapen and falling apart. These 577 shoes are quite amazing. I just checked, and finally, after two full years, the one heel of these has worn down. And six months ago, the seam came open in the front of one, which we had repaired at a local shoe shop, and is still holding. But the internal inserts, directly under his feet, and still in one piece! Normally they would fall apart after a few months of the weight. He works 20 hours a week as a courtesy clerk, and before these, would complain that his feet hurt. I have asked him many times with these, if his feet hurt, and he answers "No." He loves them. So I am back here at Zappos, buying another pair, which we hope will last two years for us, again!

The shoes arrived on time, took out of box, put the shoes on fit. comfortable walking on steps. I am up at 5:30am and off at 5:30pm. In and out of van, unload reload with new car parts, load cube trucks for out of town delivery, At size 14 4 E there aren't many stylish shoes, these are great.We will see how long they last!

These were as advertised and very quick delivery. However, the best part was the service received from Zappos. I purchased the incorrect size and as seamless as possible Zappos had them exchanged with the correct size.

I bought these because I had a similar pair with velcro instead of laces and I liked them. Also have had bad luck with New Balance shoes that have a little lip at the toe which connects to the sole--actually it doesn't stay connected to the shoe very long. These shoes are very comfortable and have a lot of shock absorbency!

New Balance shoes are only a few shoes I can purchase in size 14 4E for my 6'2 son. He said they fit him like a glove and really looks niece. Now, he looks 6'4 but he looks even better with the shoes. Having large feet deserves quality and comfort too.

I was looking for a replacement for the Rockport Wachusett Trail Sport Laceup. This is OK but I miss the excellent construction of that brand. Their newer line is more expensive but not as supportive.

This is the only sneaker I've worn for so long I can't remember (20yrs or more?) when I worked, I was on concrete and my feet all day (8-12 hrs daily) and my feet never hurt. before using these my legs would ache, feet hurt etc. I should say also that I've always used better insoles which for me is a big plus. If it weren't for these shoes I would have probably been fired for not being on my feet! So these are life savers for me. hope this helps with your choice of shoes.
