These look very nice on. But are a bit tough to walk in, The laces make it difficult to get on and off, and they rub/hurt the back of my feet around the tendon. I was disappointed over all.

Although the styling of these boots is great, there is an uncomfortable ridge between the heel and achilles where the leather upper is sewn to weather proof bottom. They also ran a half size small which is a bummer for me as I wear a size 11; no going up a size for me. I returned them for another Sorel style which look great, fit well and are super comfortable.

I did not even get to wear these out of the house as one of the metal lace holders came out of the boot as soon as I started tightening the laces. While they are good looking boots, they are not going to be meant for deep snow/warmth. I was a little surprised at how thin the rubber was around the feet, with little to no insulation. They are better for rainy wintery weather. Other reviews mentioned the leather straps coming off as well and based on my experience with the quality not being top notch, these went back. For the price, I am not willing to risk more issues with things falling apart. I still think stylish winter boots is not an oxymoron. I the got North Face Shellista Lace boots in black instead.

These boots are really cute and I loved the color. You can't imagine how disappointed I was to have to return them. The boot is very stiff, which I'm sure would get broken in as they're worn. That wasn't my problem. As soon as I tried them on, the seam between the shoe base and the boot shaft instantly rubbed on my heel and ankle. That shouldn't happen, especially not for that price. I'm really hesitant to try out any of Sorel's similar styles because the construction of the boots looks the same. So disappointed.

These were my first pair of Sorel footwear. They will be my last. I bought them in 2013. After a few hours of of sidewalk wear (light snow coverage), I discovered that the strap that wraps under the arch had come loose and I'd been walking on it. Thinking a snap had come undone, I looked at the understrap hardware and discovered it missing altogether. Somehow, despite being complete nonfunctional and under no strain, the brass fasteners had fallen off. I didn't hear back from Sorel bad customer service for a brand-new pair of boots at this price and wore the Carly a couple more times that winter, jerry-rigged strap and all. Like other reviewers, I also lost the cheap wood grain wrapper on the heel despite not going anywhere near a trail. Snow boots that don't stand up to moisture is a hell of a thing. Then this year, I was showing my significant other the unbroken strap so we could try to find replacement hardware. I slide a finger under the overlap to get a closer look at the hardware and you guessed it, it pulls right out of the leather too. The thing looks like it's just too small for the hole, and also doesn't attach too well to its "parent" hardware on the overstrap. At this point, I've basically started treating these expensive, barely-worn boots like flea market finds, using short bolts and acorn nuts on the straps and looking at DIY options for the peeled heels.

I love these boots when I received them wore them around the house and I could feel them digging into my heel...seems like the rubber part on the heel has a lip and is digging into my heel...sad but have to return.

They are cute but very pricey for the quality you get! The strap under the arch breaks. They put a large snap on the inside where it gets caught and breaks. The leather stack heel is only a thin veneer, it is scraped easily and sometimes peels off. There are no liners! Yes, this makes them "not clunky" but if you are standing in the cold for a time, your feet will be cold. I went to see an actual pair at a local store to see if they had a removable insulating liner like old Sorrels, they had no liner. The store did not have new boots but had a pair that someone had brought back, twice, because the strap snap kept breaking. The snaps stick out too far and are in thin leather. Why they put the snaps on the inside is beyond me. I was seeing how they fit, because I was looking for some for my niece, and they were the right size, the owner said they were having to send these back. He offered them to me at a price so reasonable that I bought them. I took them to a shoe repair to remove the snaps and put low profile rivets in. When I came back to pick up the repaired boots, another pair of this same style had come in with the same broken strap problem! This is a clue Columbia/Sorel. I also noticed on my pair that the heel veneer was ripped in a couple of places exposing the white composite underneath. I have read other reviews about this problem before I got this pair, so it is an issue. 12" from your heel, not the boots, to top of boot.

I purchased these boots because I was looking for a taller snow boot. I am a 7.5 normal width and ordered these in my size. Unfortunately, these fit nothing like the Joan of Arctic’s I purchased last year. I have never encountered a more difficult boot to put on. Sliding these boots on and adjusting these them to fit correctly is a chore. The right boot felt tighter than the left. Also, the boots tend to bunch up/buckle right above the ankle which also adds to the discomfort factor. I am super disappointed and returning these boots. There are a couple of others I will try that are slightly cheaper and probably better quality.

I bought these in February of 2016....wore them 2 or 3 times before retiring them for the spring. I recently pulled them back out for the fall and noticed that they are literally falling apart. I am so disappointed in the $225 junk I purchased. I will be calling sorel and zaps with a hearty complaint.

I bought these adorable boots for a trip to the Sundance Film Festival (we hit plenty of snow and rain and it was 20° for most of the trip) this year. I thought they ran half a size too big, but I did not mind, since I figured my wool socks would fill it out and I like a little extra room for my wide feet (they ended up still being a bit big). Much to my disappointment, the waterproof snow boots got my toes wet on every single day of my trip. I really do not understand how it happened - maybe a factory defect - crack in the rubber? I am not sure. So my four day trip was a bit of a bummer, with wet/cold feet (there is hardly any insulation in these things too). I am hoping that Zappos will accept a return of worn boots, as they will not be worn again.

I NEVER write reviews. However, I am so disappointed that I felt I needed to. I was so excited for these boots. I did a ton of research and really fell in love with these. when I received them, I was so upset because they arrived broken. one of the hooks on the right boot was broken. I called zappos and they were fantastic! they shipped me out a new pair before I even returned the broken ones. This morning, I went to put on my new pair and as I was tying them, the lace broke in half. I was so upset. These boots are way too expensive for this to have happened TWICE!! So, I am returning them again and looking to find a new pair of winter boots.

I have been fairly pleased with my Sorel boots...until now after less than a year of use...the rubber portion of boot is cracking through to inside of boot. Super cute but the quality of this Sorel boot is poor. Heel is also starting to peel. I expected much more with price and Sorel name. I will not purchase another Sorel boot due to the quality. I am sorry to say this, because I grew up lovingly and warmly wearing Sorel. 'Tis no more. Love Zappos though!

These are not true to size. They are very fashionable. I thought they would be perfect for the pacific northwest rainy weather.

I was looking for a warm and comfortable utility boot. Unfortunately, due to my high instep and narrow design of the boot, I am unable to get them on. From the picture and description it is hard to see if the laces are operable, they are not. I ordered another model already. Thank you for your great service.

I fell in love with the style of these boots and had to have them. The fit is similar to other Sorel boots and they can accommodate a wide calf. Unfortunately, after less then a week of wear they started to fall apart! These boots are complete garbage. The laces broke after wearing them twice. After 5 days the leather started to peel off the heal revealing cheap/fake white plastic construction. The rivets connecting the leather piece that goes under the boot have bent. I would only purchase these boots if you intend on wearing them while tip-toeing on dry pavement.

I received a pair of these boots for Christmas last year and was so excited to have such stylish boots. Considering I grew up with Sorel, I anticipated these boots would last several years knowing the company's devotion to quality. Unfortunately, like many things these days, the quality was just not there. The heel was made out of plastic covered with a cheap wooden overlay. After walking in the rain and snow for a month, which I thought these boots were designed to do, the suede buckle on the side came off entirely. I was so disappointed with these boots that I returned them. Due to the high price, I was able to trade these boots in for a pair of boots by Keen (which I love) and a beautiful pair of Mary Janes (which are so comfortable). I am not sure if this is just a problem with the boot design or if this says something about the quality of Sorel entirely, but I would save yourself the heart break and get different boots.

Beautiful when they first arrived, totally destroyed after two months. I am finding this to be a trend with Sorel's fashionable boots. The stirrup underneath the boot was torn off almost immediately. But what I noticed the most was the lack of quality in the rubber at the toe and it began splitting open after only two months. There were at least 5 small holes in an otherwise waterproof boot simply from a little wear, thank goodness Zappos took them back!

I LOVED these boots. Notice the past tense. The second I started wearing my boots in the snow they started falling apart. First, the strap under the foot snapped off. Fine... It's just cosmetic. Then yesterday I noticed that both rubber heel grips were hanging on by literally a 1/4 inch strip of glue to the rest of the heel! Both fell off. I am extremely disappointed in these boots. I've probably only worn them 15 times and they're completely destroyed. What gives, Sorel?

VERY DISAPPOINTING! While these boots are very cute their quality is well below standard for Sorel. After literally two wearings they started to fall apart. The heel covering already began tearing off in several places exposing the white plastic underneath. I was afraid to pull on the laces for fear they would tear as well. Though advertised as a winter snow boot, they are not warm at all. For this cost and a Sorel product I truly expected a lot more. Thankfully, Zappos customer service is exceptional (as always!) and I was able to return them.
