Awful shoe - collapses horizontally when standing - no energy return! I have worn nothing but Asics ever since I started doing a little running over 20 years ago. When I put on my old shoes (Asics Gel Nimbus 10), as soon as I hit the pavement, I immediately feel a spring/bounce in my walk and then when I go to run, my legs feel an energy return that propels me forward. Not with these - I feel like I'm running in slippers with zero energy return. I was suspicious when I first put the shoe on, then stood up to put weight on them. I saw the shoe collapse horizontally out to the sides. I've never seen this before.

Horrible shoe. I have high arches and had high hopes for this shoe. It was extremely hard and uncomfortable. I tried it on as soon as I received it and put it right back in the box to return.

Oh my goodness, I bought these for a lot, BIG MISTAKE. I am an avid runner. These running shoes have literally killed my lateral part of the foot. I have ran in these for the past two months, and I have ran some 10ks and half marathons. I literally had a hard time walking for the next week after. I have been to the doctor for my foot. These shoes are comfortable to wear, but if you are a serious runner and run long distances these shoes are horrible. I can not believe i waisted that much money on them. I recommend them maybe for walking or leisure. Not for running. After my last half marathon, i went to a running specialty store and they put me in the correct shoes i should be running in. Half marathon this weekend so we will see how these other shoes do. If you are a serious runner i recommend going to a running specialty store to get you in the correct shoes.

When I first unpacked these shoes, I fell in love. They were cushiony and comfy and looked great. Unfortunately, after about 30 minutes of wearing them around the house, they started to cause a lot of pain in my balls of my feet. They have a really high heel, so it felt like the pain you get in front of your feet when you where high heels for too long. I went on several runs with them and there was so much friction in the front of the foot that the shoe would get really hot and uncomfortable. If you think you like these, wear them around awhile before committing.

Based on reviewers who noted that the narrowness of the Gel Nimbus 13, especially the toebox, had been widened, I purchased these. Sad to say, there was very little difference in width between the 13 and 14 (I noticed no difference); there might have been 1/16th of an inch increase in length. Horrid shoe. The last Gel Nimbus I had (before the inferior 13) had asymmetrical lacing and a wide toe box. Why Asics changed that popular fit is beyond me. This shoe is nothing like the earlier models -- it's so different, it doesn't deserve the name Nimbus. Do not buy unless you have very narrow feet. An Asics wide is at best a medium in any other shoe.

I was so excited to see that this shoe was finally made in a 5W. I have been wearing it in a 5M for many years with my custom orthotics, which was the best I could do. However, the "Wide" size is exactly the same as the Medium in this shoe. I thought maybe they felt stiff because they were new. I was so frustrated, I even took them to my orthotist MD to measure the width compared to the medium and they are exactly the same width. Very disappointing. Going back.

Coolest looking shoe; however, most uncomfortable shoe ever! Both feet burning in balls of feet and toes on mile 3 out of five. Each mile more painful. Will return and keep looking for wider shoe with more support in the forefront.

Gel Nimbus 13 was a poorly constructed shoe. I hope the 14 is much better - although I will not be buying any in this line again. Two weeks after purchase the mesh in the toe box wore through into a whole. I returned them for another pair and the exact same thing happened. Very poor design and construction! I have been faithful to Asics through many years of running, and this was a major disappointment. If you are smart, you will not purchase this model!

I am so disappointed in these shoes! I have been wearing the Asics Nimbus for at least 6 years, and these are the narrowest (even though I bought them in wide)and shortest shoes ever! They are horrible - I am so disappointed. Such a difference from the Nimbus 13, much less Nimbus 12. They are too narrow, too short, too small. I had nimbus 12 in wide and they were too wide. I went to Nimbus 13 in medium and ok, but went for the wide in the Nimbus 14 - I can't even put them on, much less put in the different insert I always use. Wow - what do I buy now?

I ordered these after running with the Nimbus 13. I run a lot of distance and these shoes felt really stiff and clunky. Took a lot more effort to run in these as they were not as efficient either. TERRIBLE and nothing like the Nimbus 13. The do not have near the cushion that I like to have on long road runs.

I would recommend Brooks Glycerin 10.
