I ordered these and plan to return them for another size. I usually order larges or 12 so I ordered this in a size 12 and it's too large. I need to tie the interior drawstring to keep them from falling down. Also, they are much thinner than I thought-NOT for winter wear. I am thinking of getting the 10 as I do like the look if I can get the size right...but not sure they will be long enough in a 10 as the length leaves nothing to spare in the 12. Still deciding.

I have them. I like them. They are too short though, so I don't wear them unless I'm isolated in the wilderness. Even then, my ankles get cold from the breeze. Columbia makes them in regular and short, but why not tall? Loyal Columbia customer, but until they decide to make tall inseams, I'll have to buy pants elsewhere. I'm 5'9" and wear a size 4. 4 TALL please!

Seems like I've tried hundreds of active-wear pants made out of performance material, i.e., a nylon/lycra blend or similar material that wicks moisture, washes in a hotel sink, and dries wrinkle-free quickly -- and they all fit too tightly below the navel and show way too much of one's personal contours. My friends share this complaint, and it's an obvious problem for almost all the women I've observed wearing this type of pant. I tried a black pair of these pants on (too) quickly in a chain store, thought they were an exception, and ordered this beautiful gray pair. Unfortunately, they have the same issue as the dozens of other brands/styles I've tried, so were returned. Too bad because they're really nice looking and appear to be well made. I'm still on the hunt. So far, the least problematic styles I've found are the Royal Robbins Paseo Traveler II (in black; the khaki must be made in a different factory because the same size fits tighter and is therefore unacceptably revealing), the Prana Viva, and the Lucy Spa pant. This Just Right Pant by Columbia is great if it fits your build; I don't recommend it if you're built like me.

I have been wearing the long and short of this pant for 2+ years and always wish I'd bought more-I wear them everywhere for everything and scared they'll wear out and I'm empty! I ordered the lastest pair a few weeks ago and while the overall results are the same-I want the ones I bought the previous 3 or 4 times. The difference? Well-old ones had flat seams off center,(so much more flattering than the center, somewhat raised seam now), a snap with string type closure so you could roll them up to capri length, which these don't have, and a toggle on the drawstring to tighten the pants around the ankles. I do like that I could order these in short even though I'm 5'4" and the others were too long-. Just give me back the seams off side and the chance to roll up-the best ever and the shorts! Great for so many things. Please hear me Columbia. And I'm outdoors 350 days a year-

The fit on the waist was not right for me. The pants did not narrow to the waist, just stuck out. Returned them. The drawstring pants from Columbia fit me better.

There's no regular pockets. This is the biggest nuisance. There's one small one halfway down the pant leg, but that's all. It's really disappointing because I like them a lot, but the no pockets thing is such a deterrent.

These are not true to size. They run large all over and are 3-4 inches too long.

Good pamts, I do like the ability to cinch around the ankles and I do LOVE the water resistance. Unfortunately, the cinch around the ankle often loosens, the pants are too baggy at the bottom (and I have big legs and calves), and there's only one fairly small pocket.

I would not recommend these pants because they are not as durable as one would hope or expect for this particular brand. The first time I wore these pants for hiking, I was unimpressed with the quality because the seam of one of the pant legs ripped and this was a huge inconvenience as you can imagine.

These pants would be great in the tropics. They are light and stretchy. But, I don't live in the tropics. They were thin, 4" longer than I wanted them to be, and there are no pockets.

I put them on and loved them. Loved the fit. Loved the fabric. Then I went to put my phone in the pocket. No Pocket!! One small zip pocket on the leg -- good for a key fob, but no front/back pockets. Can't go around carrying my phone all day. Bummer. Over priced for leaving out the detail of side pockets.

I like the 'give' of these pants. They seem like otherwise comfortable and well-constructed pants, but I'm not willing to deal with the feel of the seam running down the front of the legs.

These have a drawstring on the inside. This means that if you tighten the string, the pants gape open, with a bow or knot on the belly under the snap. Really unflattering. A size smaller might fight better on the waist but not elsewhere (and I thought the point of a drawstring was to be able to adapt to slight changes in how tight or loose one wanted clothing to be). Pity, as the material and cut are otherwise great and it's wonderful to have length options, but this makes them completely unwearable. Can’t understand how these worked for anyone.

I liked the fit and comfort of these pants, but they have only the one pocket on the thigh. No side hip pockets. I think the whole point of hiking pants is to have multiple pockets to stash your stuff. I would have kept them if they had side pockets.

I recently bought several different hiking pants from Columbia to try for hiking later this summer. I liked the stretch in these pants, but not the fit. The waist was too big and pants too short (with no ability to lower the hem several inches). I tried several sizes (12, 14), but both didn't fit well. The quality of the material, however was excellent. Please always offer pants in longer inseams (33"+) and with waists that hit right below the belly button for comfort. These went back to the store. As mentioned in another review, check out the Not Your Daughter's Jeans (Marilyn style, in particular) to get the dimensions right with the rise and length.

These pants are too small, have no pockets (only one by your thigh), and they are not flattering at all. I have no belly, but it seems I have a beer belly with these. They run small: My size is between 24. I got 4 just to be sure, but I should've gotten size 6. I am not returning them--not leaving home because of the pandemic. It was a complete waste of money. Buy something else. This is actually my last Columbia purchase. I've been disappointed with jackets pilling only after a couple hours of use. I wanted to give pants a chance, and it was a disappointment as well.

I can never seem to get a Columbia pant to fit. These are very short waisted and have almost too thin, slippery fabric. Fit was odd.

I wore these just one time before they ripped. The seam at the front of the thigh opened in the wash. I can probably repair them but I expected better quality. Also there is just one dinky little pocket that doesn't even fit a cell phone in it. All that would fit was the car key and a tube of chapstick. They are very stretchy and flattering but not good for rugged activity.

Fit: I really liked the way these pants looked and fit in the store. But I didn't notice that they lack pockets! Which is really annoying. As I wore them, they seemed to stretch out a bit. Water: They are not waterproof and when they get wet (rain, sweat), they seem to absorb the water, then suction themselves to your leg. Not the best feeling, nor the most practical. (Jeans or regular yoga pants would keep your legs drier.) Durability: I have had this pair for less than six months, and the fabric is pilling and one of the seams is busting.

This is ridiculous. After only 3 washes it started to pill. I have never had hiking pants do this. Very unhappy with the quality of the pant.
