I recently ordered my first pair of New Balance shoes. I experience lower back and leg problems as a result of herniated disks. I needed a tennis shoe that would allow me to do my daily walks without aggravating the condition. After doing extensive online research to find the best shoe to meet my needs, I decided on the New Balance WW847. The shoe has lived up to its claims regarding comfort and pronation.

This is a great shoe for anyone who wants a lightweight, comfortable black shoe...maybe for work. I have to be on my feet all day at work, and walking. Love this shoe. I did have to order a half size up to get correct fit. I may even order another pair while they are still available. And as far as Zappos, don't get me started! They are the best!

It doesn't get better than this. I have ordered this style for ten years, updated versions naturally! They have great support, flex like none others (the best for regular walkers - 4 1 hour + walks per week) and feel almost like slippers. The one downside, the design is alright, but nothing stylish. Come on New Balance, kick it up a notch and make these cuter! For the price, they really should. These are awesome!

Great sneaker. Very comfortable, good stability as I tend to pronate my feet inwards. I can wear my orthotics with them.

I have very bad bunions and was in a great deal of pain. So the search for shoes began. I tried many and of course Zappos return policy and great customer service made it a lot easier on the search. The New Balance are great and I have not had any pain since I first started wearing them. Right where a bunion is the shoe had a loose material and that really helps. I have 2 pairs and my only complaint is I would love them in another brighter color.

I am very pleased with this comfortable walking shoe. Moreover, the availability of this shoe in a half size made all the difference in fit and comfort as my big toe does not hit the tip of the shoe while walking.

These are very nice comfortable shoes. The 846 to me was much better, but they no longer make them, so these are the closest replacements.

I slipped them on and they were mine! Comfortable, roomy. I ordered them a half size bigger than normal and they are still fine. Work well with orthotics.

These shoes are incredibly comfortable, and I have just ordered my second pair! I needed a walking shoe with cushion, but most importantly support. The toe box depth and width are substantial, making the use of my orthotics easy or comfortable. My only complaint is that the color selection is not entirely to my liking. New Balance should make more color options in shoes of this type!

Love these shoes! These are my 4th pair of this style that was prescribed by my Podiatrist. Love the silver and pink and very comfortable shoe for all day.

Wonderful walking shoes that give excellent support and are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I took out the inserts and inserted custom orthotics. These shoes are also very stylish. The color goes with everything!

I love these shoes; they are exactly what I needed. I suffer from hammer toe and pronation issues and working as a hairstylist where I'm on my feet all day was killing my feet. These shoes have made a world of difference and I've even gotten back into walking regularly. They also work great with my custom orthotics though they aren't really needed in these.

These shoes worked very well for me. I have bunions and the toe box is wide enough to help that. Comfortable right out of box, no break in required.

I bought these for my 84 year old mother who has diabetes. She owns a white pair of NBWW846 that we bought at a store specializing in "diabetes friendly" shoes. These are the current model of those shoes and she says they are even more comfortable than the 846 pair - and, because I got them from Zappos, a lot cheaper!

I have a hard time finding shoes that fit me and New Balance is my favorite fit. I appreciate that Zappos gives information about which last is used because I can always have a good idea if shoes are going to fit me before I buy them. For those with hammertoes, these shoes are a great help. The toe box is roomy, and the leather soft and pliable. Not the greatest looking shoes, though.

I purchased the New Balance WW847 walking shoes and I love them! I got the wide, even though I don't normally wear wide, in a 10.5 and they fit perfectly. They don't rub my toes, as a number of previous walking or athletic style shoes have done. They are very comfortable shoes and I can wear them standing on my feet for hours with no problems.

A well made, comfortable and supportive sneaker.

These athletic shoes felt extremely comfortable from the minute I put them on. Great support and super comfy - what more can you want?

This shoe is a duplicate of the 811, which I loved and they no longer make! Only difference is there was no mesh on the 811. I find this shoe very comfortable, no break-in required. Great support! If it was all leather, it would be perfect!

Great shoes...this is the third time I ordered them. I don't run anymore, but do a lot of walking and workout in them. I can get my orthotics in the 10.5 Narrow and they feel great. I love the silver color....they don't get as dirty as white ones. I sure hope New Balance doesn't go and change these shoes!

I love these sneakers. They look nice and are very comfortable. I ordered the size 7 double wide which I thought would be the right size for me but they were a little too big so I returned them and got the 6 1/2 double wide which are perfect. So glad to find size 13's - my orthotics fit well in these and there's room for regular or extra warm socks in winter. Great support and comfort. Thank you, Zappos.

I bought the New Balance WW847 because I have a Morton's neuroma. So far, so good. I wear them with New Balance insoles also designed to help people with Morton's neuroma. When I buy this type of shoe, I always need to buy a full size larger or even a full size and a half. However, with the New Balance I only had to go up a half size (as many other people have reported). They aren't the most stylish shoe in the world, but they get the job done. I've had no pain while wearing these shoes with the special insole; I have not tried wearing them with the insole that they came with.
