This is an ok bookbag. I expected a little more from North Face. My primary use is for college/grad school. Some pros I've found is that it has many pockets, quality is there, durable, and expandable using the buckles. However, I'm not sure I would purchase this again personally. I wish I better understood the importance of the bookbag weight prior to adding stuff inside the backpack. This bag is sturdy but is a little heavier than others. In addition, when I first got this bag, the flexvent part needs to be broken in. It definitely becomes softer over time, becoming better with age. It hurt my back for a few months to start. I originally bought this backpack to have better ergonomics.

I love the style of it. Matches will all outfits, which is what I really cared about. In college in holds everything i need and is comfortable for travel. Love it. Saved up my money for it and it is totally worth it.

This is my second North Face backpack and I love it. I get so many compliements on it. It fits everything I need and can be used for so many different things.

I use this backpack for school. I love the new design of having a separate zipper for the laptop. I use the larger compartment for my binder and pencil pouch. There is a ton of room left over. In the front pocket, it's not as deep so it's great for easy access items such as tissue, pens and pencils, hand sanitizer, etc. I use the smaller front pocket to keep my charger and headphones. The two drink compartments are durable and hold both my hydros securely.

I use this product for school. I love it, it fits everything perfectly. It's comfortable but kinda bulky.

Great college backpack!!

So far this backpack has been great to use for school and it's durability has me convinced that I'll be able to use it all throughout college. I like that there's a departed compartment for the laptop, but I wish that the back panel of the backpack wasn't so stiff. It makes it really difficult to lean up against things without it sliding down onto the ground. I also wish that the compartments were a little bigger and more flexible to fit more things. I do really like the water bottle holders on the sides just because of how stretchy they are that you could fit almost any sized water bottle in them. Overall, those are the only things I would change, but it's very simple, durable, and lightweight backpack that's great for using to carry my everyday things.

Great comfort and room for travel

Both my girls have this style of backpack and they love it. TONS of storage spots to keep things separated. This one replaced one that we have had for 5.5 years. They love the design the color schemes and durability of it.

I bought this for my daughter who is a freshman in college. She said it is a perfect size for her and is comfortable to wear. It holds all of her books/notebooks and still has space for her laptop in a protected sleeve. I like that it is a dark color that won't show dirt. We are very pleased with the purchase.

I love it but wish it was a little bigger. Can fit my laptop, gym clothes, lunch, and shoes but it is a tough job to squeeze it all in.

I absolutely love this backpack! The variety of colors is great. I bought it for school and it holds all 25lbs of my college books. Book space was the thing I was searching for and it holds it all! It is comfortable to carry with the padded straps, and I can safely store my MacBook in the laptop compartment without it getting damaged. While I use it for school now, with all the storage and extra buckles, it is perfect to take hiking or camping.

I purchased this as a gift to myself! I am an elementary school teacher who has been using a free tote bag from a publisher for over 10 years now. I have been looking for the perfect school bag...oh, yes! I'm not that cheap, but I wanted a comfortable, durable, and stylish looking grown-up backpack that would hold my laptop, books, and a few personal items. This bag is so amazing!!! Like any good educator, I did my homework and purchased 3 other backpacks from various other companies and returned them due to: 1) a chemical smell and warning tag that the item's material has an agent "that is a known carcinogen and could cause cancer" (state of California warning label), 2) ugly styling, 3) the material was a magnet for dog hair. I'm thrilled to say that the Borealis has none of the above! Quite the opposite. I love this bag so much, I purchased another North Face backpack to use as my daughter's diaper/travel bag, and my husband, also an educator, just bought one for himself. We are both frugal, but we respect quality and have owned Northface winter jackets for years. What took us so long to dive into the realm of backpacks? Doesn't matter. It was well worth the wait.

Perfect for school

I use this product for school , it's amazing , I am able to carry all my books without having to feel like it's heavy. There's a lot of room, along with my books , i caref my athletics clothes & shoes & it honestly applies no weight to my shoulders

I am obessed with this backpack! There is so much room for me to pack my laptop and charger, textbooks, notebooks, other nicknacks, snacks and lunch, and water bottles. It's perfect for long days when i'm in school. I can't wait to use this bag in the summer for hiking trips. The straps are comfortable and the bag provides ventilated support on your back.

I use my backpack for school & it is great because of all the space it has. Also love that it is waterproof during the stormy winters. The padding on the back makes the bag a lot more comfortable!
