I use this backpack for college. I like the design and comfort of it. It is very practical. My only complaint is that the main pocket is a little small. It has its own pocket for a laptop and another pocket that can fit about 3 notebooks, which is usually enough room except on the days I need to carry a textbook to class in addition to other books.

I bought this backpack because I needed a durable backpack for school that can carry my laptop, books, pencil, snacks, and water. Let me tell you I am able to fit all of that plus more. There are enough pockets to keep everything organized and the pockets to carry your bottle in are so big that you can fit a Gatorade size bottle too. I love how deep the pockets are as well. I will definitely be taking this backpack with me when I travel because you can fit so much in it! I choose the color black because it goes with everything but there are so many other color ways from which you can choose from. I highly recommend this backpack to students!

We purchased this for my teen and I will purchase 30 more--it is awesome. She LOVES everything about it. It is lightweight, it fits EVERYTHING (she has a lot of school binders), it is comfortable on her back, it holds her water bottle perfectly without fear of it falling out, it is stylish--all of her friends are asking where she purchased it and it will be awesome for our summer travels. So happy with this purchase.

This is the most uncomfortable backpack I've ever owned in my life! It is so unnecessarily heavy. There seems to be some sort of metal backing that's supposed to "support" you but it does quite the opposite; it adds even more weight to my already heavy load for school each day. The straps are SO STIFF too! They are not in any way flexible as the description says and they dig into my shoulders with every step. By the time I get home, my back and shoulders feel like they are going to fall off, as they are in so much pain from carrying this burden of a bag around school all day. I DO NOT recommend this backpack to anyone, especially if you know you'd be doing a lot of walking around with it. You're better off buying a soft, comfy Jansport bag.

Love this backpack. I am a ballet dancer and it works great for carrying all my shoes and gear to class! The size and structure is great too for traveling. Definitely would recommend this for anyone!

I'm a university student and my old backpack was worn down after a semester of use so it was time for a new backpack. I decided to go for this backpack bc of the pickets and I do not regret my choice! It is so comfortable!!

I bought this backpack for nursing school and I love the pockets and all the room I have.

The bookbag is too long in size. It is so pretty but unless you are a tall person, don't get it. It looks so bad on short girls.

I love the physical features of the book bag and the amount of pockets and zippers it has. However, the color of the book bag I received, was not at all like the color in the photo. I bought a turquoise and cream colored bag, and ended up getting one that was more grey and dark green. Also in the photo it showed the handle on the bag was going to be a different color than what I received.

I use this backpack for school and to commute almost everyday. It is so reliable and comfortable. There is a pocket specifically for your laptop and has enough storage for many items. It is not only reliable but also stylish. The colors and design make it very nice to look at. I absolutely love this backpack.

I got this backpack because it looks very stylish, but I feel like the sleeves are very uncomfortable because they have a hard material in them instead of having a foamy feel to them. I love when bags have many pockets, but this one only has 2 large ones. 1 for the laptop, the other I use for my books, and they have a medium sized one which I use for my writing utensils. Lastly they have a tiny one where I store my keys. I feel like for the price it could be more comfortable, and they could've added secret pockets. The medium pocket is in the upper half of the backpack so it makes the backpack look fat in the upper half which I believe looks unpleasant.

Love the purchase I made. I've wanted a North Face backpack for a while and I'm so glad I finally gave in and got one. It's so comfortable to wear, even when filled with books and my laptop.

This bag is poorly designed compared to 2015 Borealis that I still have. The front pocket has a flap over the zipper and makes it difficult to unzip and play around with the zipper. Bag is unable to sit upright and keeps tipping over (see pictures). I use this bag a laptop and some folders. I used this bag for a month now and still hated it. I had similar bags from Land's End and LLBean and all of them stay up.

I had the old borealis backpack version and North face just came out with a new design from it and at first I was skeptical but I saw it in person and it looked really nice. I ordered on the next day and it's different from the old one but in a good way. North face did a nice job of using all the space in the bag. Over all great back pack

Very good for college students, good placement for laptop, books and frontage space to put phone and pencils etc...

I will never ever buy another brand of backpack. This is the most comfortable and functional and not to mention, good looking backpack I have ever bought

Great for walking around campus all day without hurting my back. Easily fits all of my books and supplies.

Great for middle school

It's a bit stiff so I have to kind of "break it in", but it's oerfect for school and for my small hikes I do with my mom.

I use this product for college, but it is definitely too small to fit all my books and computer. It is kind of frustrating to fit it all in everyday.

I am in university and have used fashion backpacks to hold my school materials since high school. They were great until they broke and I was forced to buy a new backpack once a year. I decided to buy this backpack to combine style, function, and durability. I was influenced by the other women at my school who have the same backpack and told me it benefited them in ways they didn't know they needed. It is great quality and I am hopeful that it will last me many years. As for specifics, there are some days this quarter in which I am on campus from 9 AM to 11 PM, so I needed something that would hold all of my essentials. It has plenty of pockets for small items, side pockets that I use for a water bottle and umbrella, a nice space for my Lenovo Yoga 720 laptop, and a large space for my binder and other books I carry. I can even fit a jacket or lunch pail in it if I am careful. Its adjustable straps come in handy to keep it compact for those days. There are a few downsides for campus use. It can get hard to carry around (even without any items in it) if you're walking long distances, and it has trouble sitting up straight when sat on the ground under a desk. It also took some time to get used to the way it sits on my back, but after one month of use feels comfortable. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it for other college students who have demanding schedules and are in need of a backpack that is supportive, roomy, and good quality.
