I haven't had this backpack long, but I'm so glad I made the investment! It looks great and has even better storage. The one downside is I wish it was waterproof or more water resistant, as I will now be purchasing a waterproof cover for it.

I use this for school purposes for my laptop and some textbooks. It's a great durable backpack that fits everything needed. I think it'd be great for hiking too because of the straps

I'm a full time nursing student and needed a new backpack since my previous Northface backpack from middle school had finally started to wear out. The colors and design are wonderful.

This backpack is a game-changer. I used to have a backpack with enough room to hold my MacBook and a notebook. With this one? I can carry those two items and so much more without my shoulders and back being in pain.

Honestly, I really enjoy this backpack. I commute to school using public transportation so I have to carry everything. I've carried almost all my textbooks in my backpack and still had room for extra. The straps hurt at first, but they broke in after a couple of week.

PROS: - Durable, water-resistant material as usual. - Smooth, double-zippers for all compartments. - Zipper tabs are now black instead of mint (for the Black/Mint color) like they were for previous years. Now, it won't look dirty as quickly with use. - Just enough smaller pockets. They used to have way too many weird, tiny pockets that no one used, but now it's just right. - The length of the back laptop compartment doesn't go all the way down to the bottom of the backpack. It stops a few inches above the bottom so that if you set your backpack down too roughly, your laptop doesn't hit the floor and is protected by that distance. - If you don't wear the hip straps and don't want them to dangle on the sides, they can be tightened all the way so they lie flat against the backpack, and you can wear the backpack normally with the hip straps out of sight. - Mesh hasn't caused my clothes to pill. I had other backpacks with mesh padding that ruined my clothing because the friction made all my clothes pill, but not with this TNF mesh. CONS: - The side pockets are made of a VERY thin mesh. This is incredibly disappointing because my past Borealis had side pockets made of the same durable material as the backpack itself. This thin mesh doesn't seem like it would hold up well since I tend to use my side pockets for wide 32oz water bottles, umbrellas, and even my keys. I wish they would have kept the old design by using a more durable fabric for these side pockets. I have avoided using them entirely so far because they feel like they'll rip easily, which is a shame.

I got this backpack because I needed a good backpack to help with back pain from hauling around my heavy books everyday. I found this one through research. It has been holding up very nicely in the few weeks of having it. It holds all my belongings with room for more! I have received so many compliments on the backpack color and look. I would definitely recommend.

I bought the Borealis in Kokomo green/Everglade. I must say, it’s a gorgeous backpack! I gave it 4 stars for comfort because the straps aren’t straight. They are angled funny and it feels rather uncomfortable. Aside from that, it’s a great bag! Lots of nice zippered compartments. It’s just a gorgeous backpack!!

I love this backpack! I am a teacher and it fits my laptop perfectly, and has plenty of room for my binders and other teaching materials. The water bottle side pockets with the extra strap are great. My water bottle and Yeti stay very secure.

I love this backpack, but was forced to get plain back . The light colors are impractical, and the other options are boring. Love the women's backpack because it fits me better, but the men's has a far better color selection. disappointed by this

This backpack is so horrible. It ends up hurting my back more than helping it. It barely stretches out and can't hold that much stuff. Whenever I prop it against something, the wall, a shelf, etc., it ALWAYS slides down and never holds itself up. So annoying. I was skeptical of the bad reviews I read before buying it but now I understand how truly bad this is. I would get a different bag but I wasted all my money on this piece of trash.

I use this backpack for school. It might seem pricey, but it's worth the money. It'll last you quite a while. I like how simple the design is. Even though it doesn't have much to look at, it is attractive. It has just the right amount of pockets. The backpack is out of this world COMFY. Even if you put weight on it, it'll be light.

This backpack was purchased as a gift. The bungee cord material had a small tear. After 6 weeks, the tear stretched. I contacted Northface for a replacement bungee cord, and I was told that they only have gray and black material and that there was no way to get the pink color that came on the backpack. Poor quality and warranty for such an expensive backpack.

I use this backpack as a nursing student and I often take it with me to the hospitals. It has the perfect pockets for my stethoscope as well as my laptop, and no matter how much I put in it, it never seems to feel heavy! The material is very durable and has held up very well during the rains. Overall perfect product for functionality and style.
