Recovering from a foot injury and needed support and comfort. Most comfortable shoe I have worn. Can walk for miles with them. I will not buy another.

My experience with my pair of New Balance is the same as others who reported that their sneakers began to smell like cat urine. Our household has no animals and I only wear the sneakers around home or do to errands. After a month, the smell became so bad that I had to throw out the sneakers. I have been a life long user of New Balance products, but I can say that after such an experience I will be wearing their competitors products. Very disappointing!

I have been running with the New Balance 990 for many years. It is consistently comfortable, and durable. I don't even consider alternatives.

Our son's feet are very wide with a high instep. These shoes are worth every penny. They are well constructed and true to size and width. It is going to take a bit of getting used to having to pay the full Monty for these shoes compared to what we had to pay for the Kid's version.

I order half size up if you can, slightly narrower than expected. Otherwise a very good running shoe. This is my 3rd pair of owning this NB model!

These are the most comfortable pair of shoes that I have even owned. I love them. Some people say they are not incredibly stylish but I do not care. I have also gotten plenty of compliments on these cruisers. If you want comfortable quality shoes by New Balance, these are the ones to get.

I wore these shoes five days a week for about a year. They lasted great and show very little wear but now the arch support, even with orthotics, does not seem as strong. It is time to replace them. Model number M993. I gather that this is its replacement.

Mens size 10.5D fits great. Dark blue looks great. Like wide toe box. I have not noticed any odors. I have been wearing every day for about a month now. There was no break in - comfortable from the first time I put them on. Also as always Zappos processed and delivered my order promptly.

Very comfortable, The gray is appropriate for wear in many places. I like wearing a shoe that is made in the USA!

Where else can you find a great fitting, high quality shoe - made in the USA? This is New Balance's high quality running shoe. This is my fifth pair (I also have navy) All have maintained their shape, and durability. I hope NB makes these forever.

This is a good looking, extremely well-fitting and comfortable sneaker! It also comes in narrow width, which was essential to a good fit for me. Excellent for walking, running and going on errands. Excellent for maintaining good posture as it distributes the weight correctly.

This is my sixth pair of these shoes. Twice, at the urging of a shoe-salesperson, I have tried a more "modern" last---the implication being that the 990's are somehow obsolete, I suppose---and I've been displeased with product performance by other brands on both occasions. Moreover, I find the 990's excellent for both walking and running. I'll put 1000 miles a year on these shoes. They're expensive, but they're well made and still the best I've ever worn.

These were shoes to replace the exact style pair that I wore out. I was unable to find them in locally. Zappos had them & they are just the shoes I wanted! Very easy to order, shipped & received within a day at my home. Now, that is my kind of shopping!

No odor here. This is my 3rd pair. I get 400 to 500 miles of walking from them. Very sturdy and fit well.

I ordered this shoe for my husband as a gift, I had to order a half size larger than he wears because of the shape of the shoe. He loves the shoes and is wearing them a lot, nice looking and comfortable.

Consistently good. My husband loves them. He wears an 11 1/2 4E and that's hard to find. Of course colors are limited in that size. Very fast service.

First pair of New Balance shoes I have bought since the old 565's. I was looking for a comfortable shoe and that is what I got. There is now break-in period as they are ready out of the box. They smell fine as of now, I will update a review if they start to smell of cat urine after 3 months. Zappos has great customer service so likely they will replace them.

I got these shoes for my husband for a trip to Europe. They feel comfortable now and hopefully will keep his feet happy for our trip.

These are wonderful shoes but they are not long enough. I need a narrow but there are no 13½ narrows. So I regrettably must return them.

Nice shoe. Comfortable and stylish. Only negative is the white shoelace just seem to stand out to much. I will get black or gray. As always, Zappos is the only place to shop!
