As much as I hate to be THAT GUY, it s a fact they really don t make these jeans the way they used to. There is almost no comparison between the LEVI s of my younger days and what you buy under the name today. They used to be quality jeans made very well, even made in America, now they are just barely passable and really on the borderline of becoming garbage jeans. Made In Lesotho -- well the labor there must be super cheap, because they came with sloppy threads sticking out in the leg stitching never seen that in Levi s before -- and they honestly feel like if somebody grabbed my leg and pulled, the jeans would just rip apart into pieces, in their bare hands. The denim is thin, and I could probably poke a fingernail or a pencil through them easily, if I tried hard enough. I ve only had them for two or three days and I can already tell they are not going to last very long. The 511 that I also wear, seem to be MUCH better quality. This may well be my last pair of 505 s ever, and I go back a long time as a pretty loyal customer. But I guess this is the way of the world, ever lower and lower price points required for big box stores, and cheaper and cheaper labor and shoddier materials until we end up with products that no one really wants but you sort of have to buy (got to wear something, after all). And YES I have read and heard that they still have Made in America Levis that run up, but I have NEVER once seen the USA ones available in my size, and I've definitely looked, I m just a very popular and average/ordinary size. Like I said, the 511 seem to be better quality. But the 505 s are really having some serious quality deficiencies and issues, compared to what they used to be.

Jeans fit well. However the material seems to attract every hair and piece of lint which on a black jean is not good. Hopefully this will get better with future washes.

I bought the same pair on the same size at Lord and Taylor, they perfectly fit my husband. But the pair I bought from Zappos don't fit. So, I had to return them.

I ordered these jeans and kept them to wear for a casual event I was attending. Well let's just say the entire night I looked like a fool trying to adjust the leg of the pants constantly. Why you ask? Well, the seam on the outside of the jeans somehow ended at the center of the pant leg (where your shoe laces would be). This made me first very upset and then very sad that I bought what I thought was a quality product and it annoyed me all night and I had to return them. I own Levi's that are pushing 10 years and have never had this experience. I may order a new pair when my return is complete but am worried about the quality.

I ordered 2 pair, and they were delivered overnight for free. The only problems I have with them is the color (I ordered light stonewash, and the ones I received seem much darker), and the fit in the legs. They are supposed to be regular fit, but the legs are much wider than my older pairs of 505's. Due to those problems, I will probably pay a little more to buy direct from Levi.com in the future.

Poor build quality. Belt loops are rolled instead of flat, and not spaced correctly. The front pockets are shallow, short, you cannot put your hands all the way in and they cannot hold normal stuff, fabric is thin, cheap. They are not made like they used to be.

I love 505 Levis, but, like in another of these reviews, I have noticed the material is lighter in weight than it used to be. Also I found an old pair of 505s and noticed they have 7 belt loops instead of 5. Like they say, "They just don't make things like they used to." I still haven't found a jean I like more, so I'll have to put up with these shortcomings.

Pros: The jeans look great.
Cons: This pair, while the same size as my current Levi's, are very tight, the pockets are much smaller, and they are really only comfortable while you are standing up. Once you sit down, they tend to squeeze a very sensitive area. I will not be wearing these new pants very often.

These actually fit fairly well for a change. I order the same size all the time and for years now have gotten back an array of waist widths, all labeled the same. Clothes made overseas just come smaller now, which is bizarre. Inches don't change.

Put me in the group of disappointed with the money saving changes made at Levis. They have begun to destroy a brand which took generations to build. My recent purchase of 505 jeans had the new fabric which feels kind of like it has ridges running vertically down the legs, unlike the smooth tight denim of lore. It feels softer to the touch than the familiar fabric and more like dress jeans. The new fabric is also a magnet for lint and pet hairs; I mean bad. The whole reason we buy the Levi jean is for casual comfort or work, and we expect them to wear well and not be a magnet for dirt. The company has totally lost touch with their customers and it seems that they are trying to cater to posers who want to go out to the nightclub in Levis, but who really belong to the penny loafer and slacks crowd. Time to look at Lee jeans.

I suggest you order up 1 inch in size as Levi's have dumb sized from my last pair of the same size. The legs are tighter than before.

Nice but they still leave a baggy fit in tush if you have a flat tush and thin legs.I prefer the skinny tight fit but my husband feels it is too constricting in the legs.

These are more like spandex than anything else. If you want the feel of a good old fashioned pair of Levi's, these aren't it. Pajama jeans is a good description. I was wearing a favorite pair of 514s when I tried these on. The 505 is no comparison.

Just what you expect from Levi's. Tried on 36 in stores but they were too big. 34 was too small. Found 35 only online. Either I lost an inch or these a running more like 36.

Fit is good but the quality of the denim isn't what it used to be (much thinner now, noticeably so). This pair was made in Mexico -- you never know where they're coming from these days.

Great jeans. Absolutely perfect fit. However, the top button won't stay buttoned, unfortunately - a total bummer for an otherwise perfect product.

It's more than 2 sizes smaller, Levis cannot get sizing right any more?

It's about 2 sizes smaller than should be. Also most of styles have elastane in them, even when it's not mentioned in the description.

Levi's quality has declined greatly over the past few years. On the other hand, you can also get them for cheaper than ever. My biggest problem with these is that they only have five belt loops, as opposed to seven on the Levi's I've always bought before. This means that my belt doesn't hold my pants up as well and the spacing is weird, causing the front two loops to be way too close together

These are ALL stretch denim, no matter what the copy says. I ordered a pair with color Glowing (not on the stretchy list) and got a pair of stretchy pants. Returned them and ordered a pair of Fremont Drop Shot (not on the stretchy list) and got a pair of stretchy pants. I just want normal jeans!

I've been wearing Levis all my life. These were supposed to be 32-34's. They did not have a 34" inseam. 32" at most. Disappointed in the decline in quality control at Levis -- Zappo's is great for easy returns, but it's still a pain to have to ship these back and order a new pair.

Too large. I have worn 505s for twenty years. This pair was too large in the thighs and the waist so I returned them. Clearly changed for the fattening of America.

These 505’s are not they same 505’s as I remember from the 90’s. These have a much baggier fit almost like the 550’s. The material on these jeans felt stiff and rough. Had to send them back for my old faithful 514’s.
