I've been buying and wearing different versions of this shoe for almost a decade. I've recently retired from a job and from time to time required me to walk many miles outside on city streets. I have a narrow foot, so it's difficult to find a shoe that fits. This version of the New Balance line is a perfect walking shoe for keeping on your feet for a long distance. I broke my foot about a year ago, and it also a great shoe for getting you back on your feet again after something like that. I've looked at different shoes, including different brands. But I keep coming back to this model -- and all New Balance shoes -- because they fit, and they take care of my feet. Don't let the reviews complaining about changes in models confuse you. This is the best walking shoe on the market.

I have been purchasing New Balance for the past 20 years. I buy it for the arch support because of my very high arches and RA. Plenty of room for orthotics. I wouldn't wear any other shoe.

I only wear NB 900 series athletic shoes. After years of "Rainbows and flip flops" I suffered for 1 1/2 years from plantar fasciitis horribly. Nothing helped, stretching etc. I did an internet search and found the 900 series may help. The first 5 days were painful, but then...not just improvement, but cured! I have been wearing these since at every opportunity (all but church). I put them on first thing in the morning and wear them all day. No injections needed - just good support! Thanks NB.

I thought it might duplicate my 1540 New Balance shoes, but it did not. Was not comfortable for my foot, but then I have special pronation problems with serious orthotics, and very few shoes work for me. The original 1540 did. The new 1540 does not, and I'm trying to find a replacement.

These are the ugliest shoes that I have ever owned but I have several foot issues and they are very comfortable. I guess I have to trade style for comfort now.

I have neuropathy and this is the only shoe I have been able to wear every day for walks, shopping, as well as meandering thru museums. They are light and so very comfortable. I travel a great deal and these are the only daytime shoes I have been able to rely on.

These 'walkers' are wonderfully supportive. I feel like my feet are cradled in comfort. The shoes are well-made and stylish. Perfect for being on my feet at work all day.

I purchased this shoe to wear on my good foot while my other is in a cast. It has been quite comfortable, although my foot gets a little tired by the end of the day. Perhaps not quite as much arch support as some shoes, but it has a good flat sole, plenty of toe room, and will accommodate inserts. The sole is firm and doesn't bend, which is what my doctor recommended for when I get the cast off can wear it on my injured foot. A nurse also noticed my New Balance 928 and thought it looked just right for her to wear all day at work. I would recommend this shoe.

Just purchased a pair of WW928 New Balance. The service was superb, as usual with Zappos, and I am happy with the shoes. I wore WW927 a couple years, and was a little nervous ordering the WW928's after reading some negative reviews about the "changes" in the shoe...but I ordered them anyway, and they are working great. Walk about 2 1/2 miles every day in them. Thanks Zappos. I recommend you to everyone!

I am 62 years old and work at a convenience store on my feet 8 to 12 hours a day. These shoes allow me to do just that. I am grateful I found them.

Finally found a shoe that works with my arthritic, bunion, wide feet. Loved the now discontinued NB 811. This is close but needed to go from 81/2 2E to 9 4E for similar fit. Apparently NB is cutting on SMALLER lasts. Zappos has been MARVELOUS with my purchases&returns as I searched for shoes. Thank you!

I have worn the WW1123 for many years. I was disappointed when they discontinued them. I bought the WW928 and I am very happy with them!

I just love Zappos customer service & easy return policy. I am impressed with the current updates on shoe styles too. They ship overnight & that is a huge help when my feet are waiting for their support.

I love these shoes. I have a peripheral neuropathy, (HNPP - a type of CMT), that makes balance difficult. These shoes are wide enough, have enough toe box room, and are accommodating to a high instep, due to a high arch. These are the most comfortable shoes I own. I ordered a pair in black and now these are the only shoes I wear.

Zappos is an excellent source for shoes. I need extra wide shoes and they have always had them in stock. They ship very quickly and do not charge for shipping or return shipping. I highly recommend Zappos.

I bought this shoe because Easy Spirit quit making their anti-gravity shoes for walking, etc. This New Balance is a bit pricey but is the best substituent for the Easy Spirit that I'd come to rely on.

I have pronounced pronation and (basically) archless feet, along with some other structural problems. These shoes are the best - I can walk and run, with great support. They have good arch support and a good roll bar. They do seem to run a little big. In fact, I am off to order another pair, to have in reserve.

I've worn New Balance 928's for many years and was extremely disappointed with the new version - 928V2. I was so happy to find that Zappo's still had the original in stock. I would've preferred the leather but am satisfied with the mesh.

These shoes are so comfortable, great arch, and cool for the summer. The WW928 sneaker is great for troubled feet and legs have them in all leather also, sorry to hear that they have changed them.

As always service from Zappos was very fast. Just as I expected. The only place we buy shoes.

I have never worn New Balance shoes. So I thought I would give them a try. I love these shoes. They have good support, good arch support and I love the room for your toes. I will be ordering another pair.

These sneakers are fantastic! I am a nurse, spending many hours on my feet...always 'on the go.' This sneaker is amazingly comfortable, yet provides terrific support. The heel has a wide base, there is great arch support and a wide toe box. while not 'sexy' it does not look like grandma's orthopedic shoe! I am usually a regular width but did order wide based on a prior comment about the brand running narrow. My former favorites were k Swiss. The type I preferred is no longer available.

Ordered the first pair in nursing school -wore them out. Ordered the second pair during my first year as an RN-wore them out. Last night a patient pooped all over my shoes so they are done. One the site ordering the same pair for a 3rd time. Not one foot pain EVER.Need I say more?

I have plantar fasciitis (heel spurs) and these shoes are a Godsend. My Mom recommended them as she also had spurs and the orthotics in her shoes from the doc didn't help. These did. We are both very happy with our purchase. They are true to size and great for nurses, too!

I love these shoes. They come in my size 9½N. They do not need to be broken-in, they are comfortable to walk in the minute you put them on. They cost a little more on Zappos, but I get free shipping and returns without the re stocking fee. I have ordered them a few times and have ordered them in black. I have had foot surgery and have no problem walking in these shoes. I hope that Zappos keeps them in stock and sizes for me. I have also gotten them for my daughter who has foot problems and she loves them, too.
