My first pair of Vans and they are great. Instantly comfortable, although I would say finding the perfect socks are key to being super comfy. Found them very true to size - even roomy.

Great shoes. Classic style and I can wear them with anything; shorts, jeans and blazer, chinos, whatever. Hit the white rubber with a stiff brush and soapy water every once in a while and these shoes stay sharp. I like simple, streamlined shoes and these fit the bill. They hold up forever too if you don't skate in them.

Love this shoe. I had some other similar ones made by Quicksilver and Sanuk, but they died pretty quickly and these are just much more durable. The shoes are pretty comfortable, look just like the photographs, and are super durable. This is my first pair of Vans, and it won't be my last. As far as sizing, I was between getting a 12 and an 11 1/2, and the smaller of the two fit me better.

This shoe matches pretty much anything I wear, very fashionable. And it's comfortable and is still moderately clean after having them for a month. I would definitely recommend getting these shoes to look fresh.

I wanted a shoe that is simple and good looking and this shoe accomplishes both of those goals. They don't have arch support which is okay as my job requires a lot of sitting and not a lot of long walks.

I love these shoes. They're very sturdy and comfortable. They do, however, take longer to break in than the Authentics.

I have worn Vans for years and the simplicity of style suits me well. I wear them with orthotics for more support. This shoe is in keeping with the other classic Vans.

I ordered a pair of these for my brother for Xmas. I had them shipped to him & when he tried them on, one shoe was drastically smaller. He checked the tag & they both said they were 10.5. Great shoes. Look almost like denim once you see them in person, but they still look good. The material is thin just like classic vans, so they are based on the chukka Low in style, but are made of really thin material like the classic line of Vans. Overall a good shoe.

Yes, you pay a few dollars more than the regular classics, but the vulcanized rubber helps me prevent buying new shoes every month. Cost benefit and durability is worth the extra expense. Especially when worn by a very active 2nd grade boy.

Pros: looks great in all black/black sole amazing sole stands up to the challenge grip tape will provide comes with extra laces lightweight and provides great board feel Cons: this is not a skate shoe let me repeat that this is not a skate shoe. it will fall apart after one session. the laces are so weak that when I got them out of the box and attempted to tie it, the thing broke (good thing there were extra laces in the box) absolutely no arch support to speak of. all in all- I love vans. Just be warned, that if you actually skate, don't get these. I learned the hard way.

Bought these to replace my somewhat worn out Vulcs from two years ago. I learned the hard way that these are not meant for skateboarding. A few kickflips into my session after getting these there is a worn hole in the ollie area. No big deal at all. I love them anyhow and shoe goo has never let me down before. They do run just the slightest bit large (wear a 10 and there is some room in the toe would probably recommend a 9.5). The laces that came with these are a little short as well but not a big deal. Those are the cons. The pros being, great board feel (thin, yet strong waffle grip never slip. Get those Vans). Very tight fit all around and laces are out of the way of ollie damage. I would suggest buying canvas only for looks and get the suede versions for skateboarding. Also, one minor gripe, why don't they make the yellow and black versions anymore?! Ugh, that's what I wanted but I got these for the rad black all around look. Peace.

They fit well right out of the box; however, they appear very lightweight and 'cheap.' I'll spend the extra money and buy the 'chukka low' next time.

Hate to be a bummer but I wear a size 13 (us) and this shoe fit me terribly, it felt more like a 12 than a 13. I lined it up next to my last pair of comparable Vans and they were visibly smaller. It was tight in the toe and cramped my foot up all day. I wore them for a few days trying to break them in but gave up after it became too much. This might have been a fluke but I wasn't stoked.
