Flat, light, and very black. The sole's well joined to the upper, and I can't see it fall apart any time soon. Comfortable with & without socks, though the back chafes the heel some until you break it in. No arch support of which to speak, but that's not the point, and it doesn't interfere with a very ambulatory lifestyle in any case. Looks good pair with black socks, black jeans; flattens your legs into cartoon suggestions of legs, sleek and two-dimensional. Rad stealth kicks. In philly the punks are thusly clad.

Just bought these for the new school year. Very stylish. Shipping was extremely fast, and I am very satisfied.

Are these the most durable Vans? No. Are they the most comfortable? No. Are they really worth what you pay for them? Maybe. But let's be honest, we buy Vans because they look fantastic and they have a little label stitched into them that says "Vans."

Comfortable and durable. I have to wear either black Vans or Black Chuck Taylors at my restaurant job, and I choose these, hands down. Converse makes their shoes too narrow. These are great, even as I work all day on my feet.

Nice shoes. Classic look, good price. One thing that surprised me - they started to wear very fast. Any slight scuff on the rubber around the edge turned it from black to a light grey. Likewise the canvas turns shiny and lighter with even slight abrasion. The result is that after only 3 or 4 days of wear they look pretty worn in. You might like this, you might not.

Love this shoe and the cool factor is very high. It's my go-to. Not a ton of arch support but still very comfy. It's a great all-around shoe for everyday kicking around. I get tons of compliments on them.

Very comfortable. Before you wear them out make sure you spray some kind of shoe protector on them because the textile stains easily.

It's hard to make a sneaker incredibly uncomfortable, this shoe makes an admirable attempt. The footbed is hard as a rock. Zero arch support (though the reviews make this clear, so I expected that, so I don't really hold this point against the shoe... much). Huge seams inside the shoe that dig into the top of the foot. The heel, however, doesn't rub at all and is a great height, so at least that part of the foot is comfortable, even right out of the box.

I think they fit just a drop small but they go with everything and were pretty comfy right out of the box. I'm planning on buying more colors!

These shoes are simply not comfortable. The soles of these shoes are incredibly thin and offer basically no foot support. I wore these to a Badger football game and my feet hurt more than I can ever remember them hurting after just standing in them for the duration of the game in the student section. I've worn skate shoes exclusively for the past ten or so years (although I no longer skateboard) and through some pretty uncomfortable shoes (oftentimes the soles being the right stiffness for skating, but poor for walking), I have never worn shoes this bad comfortwise. The second issue with comfort is with the uppers. The canvas on the inside of the toebox seems to be rubber lined, likely to increase durability while skating. An unintended consequence of this lining is that toe sweat has no means of escaping the shoe. The result is that anytime one's feet sweat, your toes remain damp while the rest of the foot dries. When I take off these shoes, there is often literally a line of moisture on my socks that stops at my toes. The rest of the shoe "breathes" quite well. The shoes have the support levels one expects from a canvas shoe, with the cut and design being rather impeccable. I was looking for a new all black shoe to replace my trusty s Accel's, which sadly are no more as s has gone out of business, but I have certainly not found it here. If you are willing to sacrifice entirely on comfort in exchange for a solid dose of style, these shoes would work for you. If you are looking for an everyday shoe to wear around, I would say you should look elsewhere.

When I got it it was 1 size too small. I would suggest for other people buying this product to buy it 1 size less but the only thing I would say is that I could feel the comfort the shoe brought.

I cannot recommend these due to poor quality. There is a hole in the fabric and the fabric is separating from the sole after three months of light to avgerage use. They are not worth the price.

Don't buy this shoe. It's not the same one I've owned in the past. It's now cheaply made in looks, quality and will hurt your feel unlike before.

Pretty sure Vans has created this shoe specifically for the online market. Very shoddy outer materials and non-existent insole. The shoelaces may be made from dental floss. Feels half the shoe you buy in the store, would not recommend for anything other than lounging in a retirement home. Only thing good is the variety of colors available.

Vans generally run at least a half size smaller than others, but if you expect this you shouldn't have a problem. I bought a pair of these shoes last month and am already needing a new pair of shoes. The sued material used may look nice, but does not last very long. I've only used these shoes for walking around on campus. After 3 weeks the toes are blowing out and I'm contacting vans for a refund. Bottom line, DO NOT BUY.
