Great shoe! Super comfy right out of the box with great support. As usual it was a pleasure to shop at Zappos. I got all my shoes within a few a days and the returns are always hassle free!

Just received my new New Balance 990v3. This is my third pair, recommended by my friendly chiropractor!

Very comfortable and good support for my arches and ankles, which helps keep physically able to run. As usual, I am pleased as punch with New Balance quality and styling. (I'd like this pair slightly more if the shoelaces were a duller color -- actually replaced them with an older pair of grey shoelaces! -- but I'm not much for flashy shoes.)

This is a wonderful, comfortable shoe. I purchased this originally at a small shoe store. When they could not get another in my size, I ordered from Zappos. I was very happy with my purchase.

The sneaker is true to size in length and width. It is comfortable, which is important to me since I am on my feet a lot. I haven't noticed a downside, except they are utilitarian rather than decorative.

Half a size too small. I usually wear a 9.5, but I will have to return this shoe for a 10 Narrow.

This is the second pair of this shoe I have owned. I put my shoes through their paces and these hold up well. I was excited to find that Zappos has them in half sizes so I was actually able to buy a pair that fit well this time! I do put my own arch supports in them because the arch support in these is not the best, but other than that, roomy and comfortable.

This is one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned! When I first tried them on, they felt a little too big and I wasn't certain they were a good fit. I'm glad I gave them a shot. I've just about worn out my current pair and will definitely order another. I like the basic look of these, too - sort of timeless vs. trendy or (worse, yet) orthopedic.

I almost slipped at work today. I work at Starbucks. So very dangerous/not slip resistant. Also, the soles of my feet hurt really bad at the end of the day.

These provide very good support, especially if your feet tend to roll over towards the inside. The black and white 990s are more stylish than the all black. I own two pairs and they are the only athletic shoes that I will wear.

I like the wider toe box, comfort and support of this shoe. This is the second pair of this style I have purchased.

Every recent New Balance shoe has been too pointed in the toe box. These are awesome! Keep them coming, maybe some without a white sole. I wear a 9 AA and have to look forever for shoes that fit. I do need some gel cushions in them. But it's a small price to pay for overall wonderfully comfortable shoes for everyday. I cannot find anything dressy that I can wear daily...so these are the ones for work and play. And I have to dress up for work. Oh, well. Thank you!

I ran 13 marathons and countless other races in these shoes -- well, the predecessors (992). I have feet like a duck -- narrow heels widening to big toes. I pronate and other bad things. I love these shoes.

I have a narrow heel and this shoe is great! In fact, it's the second pair I've bought. Plenty of room in the toe box but a snug fit in the heel (size AA). Very well made -- but very expensive!

The 990 is a sharp looking shoe, especially the dark grey/rose trimmed shoe. I looked for a long time for the 993 which I found by calling a mall New Balance store that it had been replaced with the 990. It is a comfortable shoe which on one of my feet felt a little more snug than the wide in which I ordered it but then one foot is usually a bit larger than the other. My only complaint is that the tongue on the sneaker seems short. When you go to pull it up before lacing, there is no give to pull up. It seems so short. I almost sent them back for that reason but I needed the shoe and the site said there were only 3 left in that size with the "breast cancer support" designed shoe so I kept them.

Great shoe for walking! This is my second pair. I love the support and the cushion these walking sneakers provide.

I love these shoes. I ordered a size 11.5 N, which is difficult to find! New Balance is my hero for making shoes in larger half sizes and in various widths. The overall look on my foot is very flattering, as it does not make my foot look huge like some shoes do. The toe box does taper down a bit, which could be a problem for some people-for me it is ok. I ordered a narrow and they truly feel narrow--my foot does not slide around at all. And the heel is very snug, which typically is a problem area for me. In fact I have never worn a pair of shoes that fit better in the heel, EVER. I ordered a second pair!

I am a nursing student. I have very long clinical days at the hospital. I have narrow and flat feet and I wear custom orthodics in my shoes. I have a very hard time finding shoes that fit and support all my problems. I have 2 pairs - one for work and one for play. Highly recommend.

This is my everyday shoe. I have had surgery and have bad feet. I wear orthotics which fit right in this shoe. I ordered the all black so have no dye rubbing off. I wish I could find a shoe that was more European looking for my upcoming travels but will probably wear these on all but dressiest occasions because this is the only shoe I can wear all day without pain. I was wearing a much heavier New Balance 1123 for three years after my surgery and could not find the same model to replace them when they wore out my podiatrist recommended this model and I could not be happier.

After reading reviews for this shoe and other brands I have worn for running I was worried I would never be able to find a shoe that works for my medium width foot. Not sure if it is an effort by the brands to save pennies on each pair by making them narrower and narrower each release. Thankfully, this brand was a winner for me. Absolutely true to size for my 7.5, Med width foot! Wore these to the gym yesterday morning and I don't feel like I have to break them in! Comfy right off the bat. Plus they are made in the US so to me, money well spent!

My last shoes were Brooks and decided to try a different brand to replace the worn out pair. I read the reviews for New Balance W990. Some said the toe box was narrow - just what I need! I received them the next day after placing my order. I have worn these shoes during my walks and absolutely love them. They are very comfortable for my narrow feet, I wear 11.5 AAA. These shoes are the most comfortable walking shoes I have ever owned.

Zappos, I don't know how you do it! I ordered these less than 24 hours ago, and here they are, on my feet! I think they'll be great. They feel good and if it weren't so danged cold, I'd take them out for a walk. They're comfy and sturdy and I love that they seem to keep me from walking on the outer sides of my feet as I tend to do. My feet are 63 years old, arthritic, and kind of a mess, but I'm encouraged when I can find something that works. Yea New Balance! Yea Zappos!

I've been wearing some iteration of this New Balance style for well over ten years. As far as I'm concerned are this current shoe is the absolute best. I'm going to buy another pair before they disappear. They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, they're holding up well, and they're so well styled that I'm able to wear them in casual settings, not just to the gym or on errands. That means a lot to me, because it means I do a lot of walking. (I use custom orthotics, so "results may vary" in terms of arch support.)

The New Balance 990 fits my feet really well. I have wide toes and a narrow heel. They are comfortable, feel cushiony, and seem well made. I got this shoe just before a trip to Europe and wore it all over (on the days it didn't rain). No "break in" period needed. The black on black is great coloring, more inconspicuous (and therefore more wearable in Europe) than my usual grey or the other colors. I wear this with my custom orthotics, so I really don't know how good the arch support is with the standard insole. A few years ago New Balance introduced a different fit in the 990 series that didn't work for me at all (991? 992?); I was ecstatic when with these 990s they went back to the fit that works for me.

I like this shoe but for me personally I like a littler boxier toe area. It had enough length so I'm able to wear them and hopefully once I get them broke in it well help. The 928 does fit me better than this one.
