Comfortable shoe. The not a lot of cushioning on the sole of the foot. I added an insert from another pair of Nikes I have and the were good to go. Very breathable. I'd recommend getting a half size bigger. I liked the color schemes available.

These are great shoes! Light, comfortable, flexible, just really good overall quality. However, these shoes are very small, I had to go up a full size to have them fit.

The shoe is really great. It feels very comfortable on the feet and is very light. I had to order though a full size bigger than normal.

These shoes are great. The first two times I wore them the ride was shockingly different: very hard and not much support. However, by the third run they began to mold to my feet. I was bothered by pretty bad plantar fasciitis and after running in these shoes the problem virtually went away! It seemed like my feet were becoming stronger as they were forced to adapt to these shoes, and I think that I might be a Free Run fan for life!

This is my second pair of Free Runs and I absolutely love them. They're very comfortable and breathable which I love. Definitely a great shoe.

Fits about half a size smaller than my usual shoes. I am usually a 9.5, but the 9's for these shoes fit me best.

Love these shoes, I wasn't about all the hype until I tried them on. Well worth the money and they go with virtually every outfit. Even when not working out these shoes are stylish.

These shoes look great but they are really tight around the bottom of the shoe. I got a half size larger than what I normally wear as well, but the shoe is tight. After wearing a little bit the shoes stretched out and are not too bad anymore

These shoes are decent but the sizing just seems off. I ordered these in both a 12½ and a 13. The 12½ is a bit snug, but the 13 seemed really big. They are decent, but nothing to rave about like my first pair of Fryes

Settled on these after failing to get the Free Run 2 last year, which I feel is the better looking shoe. Anyhoo, wanted to try some barefoot running to rehab a torn Achilles (8 months out). Out of the box, the shoe felt very narrow just proximal to the toe box, which I felt to be sized well. I considered returning them due to the tightness, but a friend convinced me they'd stretch and they did. Overall, they're very comfortable for running, and they definitely work to stretch out my Achilles. Arch support is fine, no problems in that regard, but I've never had arch problems. They're a little uncomfortable while driving because the heel tends to fold in on itself. Style-wise, I would have preferred the gray on white but Zappos was out of stock. The red is ok, but lets face it, they're not the best-looking shoes. Overall, 4 stars. Don't regret the purchase.

I bought these for my yellow-loving husband after he saw them at Nordstrom. He wears them as weekend shoes. Still going strong after 6 months of regular wear.

Traditional, expensive running shoes leave my feet and ankles sore so I switched to Vibram Five Fingers, those glove-like shoes that became popular for runners at the beginning of the barefoot running trend. They worked well, eliminated the pain and over three years I wore them out. Once that happened I wanted to try something new, because although the Vibrams are a success for me they are a hassle to put on and they get pretty funky, even though you can machine wash them; I missed the convenience of slipping on socks and shoes, lacing up and going. I've had the Nike Frees for a couple months and so far, so good. I don't feel as perceptive of the running surface as I do with the Vibrams but I'm not experiencing the kind of pain I had with traditional running shoes. At the very least this is a good alternative to Vibrams, something I can use on my alternate running days.

Nice shoe, I have had several great runs in them. My only issue with this shoe and most Nikes, they don't make the wide. If they did this would be a perfect shoe.

Comfortable running shoe with a great flexible sole. Wouldn't recommend for outdoor running, however, as debris will get wedged in the bottom.

Overall I enjoyed my experience with these shoes. However, I would not recommend these shoes to anyone who runs more than 20 miles a week. I had these shoes for about 6 months and they are worn out. These shoes were very comfortable, while they lasted.

I upgraded to these from the Free Run+ 2 and I'm loving the fit. The color is definitely bright, but I'm not so worried about cars seeing me on the road anymore! I wish Nike did a pair with just simple white with grey or black. Still overall a great shoe.

These shoes are great! Looks, comfort, durability. I love them. However, be warned they are a little skinnier than the Free Run +2's. I have wide feet and these took about 2 weeks to break in because they are a little narrow.

I am 5'8" 180 and run about 20 miles a week (supplemented with lifting 2x a week). I have been transitioning to minimal shoes for a while now. I have tried the Reebok Reelflex, Brooks pureflow and New Balance Minimus. The Nike Free +3 have a great sole. I would say it is the best of the 3 in terms of moving with your foot and in terms of cushioning without squishiness (which the Reebok and brooks are prone to after 100 miles or so). My criticism is the upper. As good as it looks, it does not control your foot over the footbed very well, particularly in downhills. I find my feet moving all over the footbed in downhills, and that shouldn't happen, imo. I would say they compare most to a reelflex and are better shoes than the reel flex (which rides too high and has week support if you supinate at all). The Pureflow are probably a better transition shoe, but the cushioning degrades more quickly. The Minimus are most severe in class and truthfully have been relegated to gym lifting sessions for me because of how 'minimal' they are.

Very comfortable shoes and great for working out. Take some time to get used to when running if you're not accustomed to a shoe with less cushion, but great for casual wear and lifting.

Great shoe. Light weight and flexible just like all the free series. Overall a comfortable running shoe. Only downfall is Practucally no anckle support.

I am a casual runner, so take this review with a grain of salt. As everyday shoes, these are very comfortable, yet have little ankle support. Very much a running shoe and nothing like a tennis shoe, which is good I guess. But the foam bottoms and relatively soft footbed make the bottoms of my feet feel like they are melting after runs. I'm not in terribly great shape, but it doesn't feel like a normal exercise burn. More of a "no support, stop this" type burn. Maybe I'm just not meant to be a runner. I'd wear them around all day, but I feel there must be better running/athletic shoes around.

Very comfortable and nice. One big problem is if you step into dirt or little stones the outsole is really difficult to clean.

I am not a runner and bought these just based on looks. Big mistake on my part. I found them uncomfortable, very narrow and had zero support. They look better than they feel.
