I have been wearing Nike Free Running shoes for three years. My last two pair are Run+3's. 4-5 years ago the arch on my right foot began to collapse from years of hitting pavement and probably age (I am 70). Running barefoot on sand seemed to help and I tried several types of shoe that advertised a "barefoot" sensation. Nike Free was the best for me. They are light, comfortable and keep all of the muscles in your feet strong. After a while the pain in my arch went away. After three years of walking 40 miles a week the arch looks normal again and is stable and strong. I am not one to review many products. I ran in Nike Pegasus shoes for decades adapting to the mods along the way and gradually going from 10.5 to 13. I wish I had had Run Frees. Maybe I would still be in a 11 to 11.5. They have a track shoe feel and are good for any surface. Sizing seems normal. I recommend that you try a pair.

These are the most comfortable pair of shoes I have had in a long time, they are so comfortable I've bought a few pairs for the future.

Zappos got these to me in two days! So great! Anyways, so far these have been extremely comfortable! Believe the reviews, they're amazing. I wear a size 11 1/2 and that's the size I ordered and they fit perfectly! They have a good, snug fit and offer great cushioning while running. The reflective Nike symbol on the sides are very reflective and look great. I would suggest wearing new socks whenever you run in these shoes though. Ones that really grip your feet because if you don't the shoes tend to move them around on you heel. All in all though these are my favorite running shoes and I'm looking forward to getting in a few really good runs with them.

Great shoes, feels like wearing a sock but has great support. Other reviews say it is narrow but I have wide feet and it fits perfect.

I bought these shoes because I'd been having trouble with my Achilles (I'm relatively flat footed) getting strained during long runs while wearing my New Balance shoes. The hope was that getting something a little more "free" would help alleviate the strain. I did try these on at the Niketown in San Francisco before buying them on Zappos -- and I was warned there that I may have to try a half size larger than normal. I'm glad I did, because I'm a normal 9 and the 9.5 Free Run fit me perfectly. I've been a conscious mid-foot striker and in the end I did have an easier time relieving stress on my Achilles. The key for me was not just the change in shoes (relatively minor to help in that regard, although I do love the feel and look of them) but more a good Achilles stretch after the run.

My second pair of free runs. They're light weight and perfect for quick relatively short distance runs. The color is a definite eye catcher!

Okay, if you died and went to heaven. And you asked the Powers that be for a nice pair of heavenly shoes; well, they would think only a second before they said: 'Oh, shoes. Yes, well, we let Zappos handle that. See they are perfect-so, no need to interfere. What are you wearing? Nike Free? Now that is a nice Yellow. The Boss likes to throw that color into sunsets. I will have to tell Him about them."

Been in Nike Free runs since the 1st generation like 10 years ago. They have been excellent from the start! This summer I made the mistake of trying to fix something that wasn't broken and had a Sports Authority Elite analyze my run. They suggested a stability runner with a very low heel drop. I've basically been constantly injured since doing this. Bottom line? After recovering from the last one I am back injury free in the Free Run + 3! Best runner ever produced in my opinion and Zappos was the best as I purchased and returned multiple non-Free Run's in the process of sorting out the whole injury thing. Nike Free run's for the rest of my life!

These shoes are awesome. I have to say it is hard to buy running shoes online especially because I am a new runner. However, I ordered two sizes and returned the one that did not fit. I am still not 100% sure if these are the best fit. They are lightweight, soft and very comfortable.

This running shoes are excellent. They have an great grip, they are so comfortable and very lightweight. For the outside they are a very good looking running shoe, when I use them people in the streets always stare at my feet. They are a great purchase!

I love these shoes. I've never spent more than $40 for a pair of sneakers but now that I'm working out I thought I'd treat myself. They are light and very comfortable. I have a wide foot and they aren't too tight. Highly recommend if you are splurging.

I ordered these shoes for my son. He loves them. The toe area wore out in one day, and the color rubbed off, which made me unhappy, but he was okay with it. They seem to run about a half size too small.

These were my first pair of "true" running shoes, and I couldn't be happier. They feel great, and are excellent for running. I've gotten a lot of complements on the look as well. Only minor complaint is the soles, with their deep grooves (to allow for flexibility), catch a lot of dirt and rocks, which then get carried along and track everywhere. But they are easy to clean out, so it's a minor problem. Love the shoes!

Very happy with my purchase. In fact bought a couple of pairs. They do run narrow and a half size small so go a half size up. My Fav walking shoes.

I have not and "would" not ever wear Nike shoes. Just never liked them. Yet after trying these things on for everyday shoes they are incredible! I'm a minimalist runner so having the lower drop feels comfortable to me. I'd highly recommend these to anyone!

I don't use these shoes for running, they are my weekend "chasing kids" shoe and they are AMAZING. They fit very well, are very light, and are comfortable all day long. After 15+ years in different running shoes on weekends, these are a breakthrough in my "bum around" shoe category.

I bought these shoes looking for a minimalist approach to running. I used the Reebok Real Flex for awhile but found those shoes to be a little spongy when running especially in real world conditions. I am not bashing those shoes, they are very comfortable but felt a little less on traction than the Real-Flex. So far I like these but they take a day or two or about five miles to break in fully. Then you get a chance to really see these shoes shine. The flex is amazing - better than the Reebok in my opinion. They are very stable and have a sure footed feel when running on real pavement that is both uneven, angled, and sometimes even cracked. Road debris do not get hung up in them as easily as the Real Flex did. I cannot comment on durability yet but they fit and perform like minimalist shoes. If you are looking for bare foot feel then get the Vibram Five Fingers. These are still great shoes and Zappos' service, once again, is unmatched in the business. Get them half a size bigger than your normal shoe size.
I'd also recommend:
Reebok, New Balance, Merrel.

Nike continues to impress w/the fit and performance of their running shoes. I have a medium with foot and generally wear a 10.5 or 11, depending on the type of shoe. I always go 10.5 for my training shoes, and this is no exception. I've been training w/the Lunar 3, this was my first experience w/Nike's Free line. WOW! The fit is great, they're extremely light, and they look great.
