I got this shoe looking for a versatile shoe that was lightweight and good for working out, particularly crossfit. This one fits the bill. It feels like a minimalist shoe, but also gives the added cushioning that I wanted for occasional running. Runs a little narrow on my wider feet, but stretches nicely. As others have mentioned, order a 1/2 size up.

Fantastic shoes in a popping red color. These are the lightest shoes I've worn (besides Vibrams). They're fantastic for volleyball. My feet are wide, so the narrow cut can make the toes can feel a little tight; but the cushioning is awesome so I don't even notice once I start playing.

Amazing sock like feel, but a little more rock in the heel to toe than a true minimalist shoe. Overall feels great and a good balance between true running shoe and a minimalist shoe. Get a half-size bigger than usual!

Great Sneaker all around! Nike really did a good job with the new design although they run small! Order a 1/2 a size up! Bought them for my boyfriend he loves them! He usually wears an 11.5 which we ordered originally - he needed a 12! Zappos was so great they sent us the next size up next day! Thanks Zappos we love you!

I had ordered the Midnight/Royal and had problems with the tongue moving(2 pair)-Finally went with the Black and have had no problem-They are so comfortable, easy on and off, and really light weight-I love them with socks or sockless-You can easily take them on and off with the laces tied-ZAPPOS worked with me in making sure I got what I wanted-ZAPPOS is a GREAT COMPANY-The employees are super cool

The shoes are very comfortable and did not need any break in period. Nike usually fits me a bit snug, so I went a half size larger than normal. These were on par with the fit of other Nike shoes.

I am new to running, the last time I ran was in 1968 when I played football in 9th grade, but these are great running shoes. Lightweight and comfortable. I believe they have helped me progress my running from less than a mile to 3 miles. They did run a bit small and I needed 1/2 size bigger. Zappos did a great job processing my order and getting me the larger size quickly without charging me for the second pair since I was returning the first pair. Most companies would have charged for both and then refund.

Great shoe, very lightweigth and comfortable. I think they have refined the sole slightly since the Free Run 2, so less rocks get trapped in the tread, although that is still an issue. I liked that the Free Run 2 fit almost like a sock as it had no tongue, so the Free Run 3 fits a little more like your normal shoe, but still comfortable and I think the style is improved over the 2. I wear a 14 and it was true to size.

These are my "one shoe to rule them all" that I use for both crossfit and running. They are flat and solid enough that I feel comfortable with deadlift and overhead squats but way better for running than a true barefoot shoe. The previous version had no tongue which made them more comfy. With this version you can feel the laces thru the tongue, and the tongue slips around a little. I still like 'em though.

I have to admit I am a lifelong Adidas person so reviewing Nike shoes feels a little funny. Anyhow, I have to say these are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. They are unbelievable. They are super light weight and the soles seem to form to your feet. I already bought a black pair. I mainly do weights and cardio. No outdoor running so I cannot say how durable they are per some of the posts that I have seen. I also wear these to work now and they are great for my walk to and from the train along with around the office. I highly recommend them!

Great purchase. Similar to the Nike Free Run 2. Comfortable and stylish. I wish they only made the sole black to wear it as a dress shoe. My 17 year old loves these shoes!

For months, friends and trainers have been trying to get me to try these sneakers. Well, I broke down and ordered this pair. I'm only disappointed in my stubbornness to try a new sport shoe. These are so comfortable. They move in any direction your foot can twist. Always in contact with weight equipment, treadmills and stairs climbers. I love them. Don't wait as long as I did. Try a pair today.

Got these for my 13 year old son to wear for P.E. and running. He loves them. Good arch support, thought not a removable insert which I prefer so he can wear his Superfeet inserts. Sporty but not a typical running shoe look so he feels like he can wear to school without looking lame.

Have these in black and white but after a while they felt too small. I'm a 12 but these run a bit tight so I got these blue ones in 12.5 and they fit perfect now.

Very nice shoes! They are very light so you don't feel heavy when running...somehow the shoe feels like it adapts to your foot so you get the best comfort feeling! And since the shoes are extremely flexible you get a very good grip. I really recommend these shoes!

Best looking running shoes out there right now, in my opinion. Light-weight, sleek looking, and comfortable. Better to go order a half-size larger though. I did the same for an older version of this same shoe. And the same is true with this one.

I originally ordered a different color of this shoe and they came without laces. I called customer service and they didn't have that color in stock anymore so unfortunately I had to get a new color. But the shoe itself is great. Very lightweight and comfortable. Stylish as well.

Great shoes. Very comfortable, flexible yet supportive. I had a pair of blue Nike Free 7.0 that I loved, and other shoes I tried fell short of my expectations. These might be even better than my last pair. I like the green on green color scheme, but the picture doesn't do the Sequoia color justice. There was a minor flaw in one of the shoes, what looked like a small tear on the fabric of the heel, but I like them so much I just decided to keep them and live with it. Zappos, great as always.

If you haven't tried the Nike Free series, what in God's name are you waiting for? I have two artificial hips joints, but these sneaks are a joy to run in.

I have two pairs of Free Run+ 2's and two pairs of Free Run+ 3's. I like both a lot, but would have preferred if Nike had stuck with the integrated tongue when they designed the 3. The 3 has a little more support than the 2, but both still have somewhat of a barefoot feel and are very light. I have wider than average feet and think the 3's are a little on the tight side. Not enough to be uncomfortable, but a little tight. I don't run much in them - mostly use them at the gym and for Krav Maga. These are the perfect shoes for both of those activities in my opinion, and would probably also work well for CrossFit. As most reviewers have said, they run a half size to a full size small. I wear size 10 in most shoes, but 10.5 fits me well in these.

These are great shoes and are everything they say they are. Just order at least half a size larger. I usually wear a 9½ and the 10½ fit me perfectly. These feel great on right out of the box and also feel great without socks if you are so inclined. They are super light, allow your feet to breathe and the blue with the silver stripe looks really cool. You cannot beat Zappos for selection and fast shipping. I do not buy athletic shoes anywhere else!

The Free Run 3 manages to provide a nice minimalist feel while also giving good protection and bounce. I am slightly disappointed that Nike decided to go with a more traditional upper as it lacks the glove like feel that defined the earlier generations. But all in all if you are looking for shoes in between traditional running shoes and full minimalist, these are your shoes.
