I am between an 8 and 8.5. The 38 fit perfectly (note: I also ordered the Alegria Classic in a 38, but it was too small). Initially, I ordered the pewter color but was underwhelmed. They were very comfy, so I exchanged them for the "tomato" color, which is dazzling. I'm counting on them to spice up my summer maternity wardrobe. These are the perfect, closed-toe summer sandal. Lots of support, no blisters or break-in period. I'm a big Dansko fan but couldn't find anything in their lineup to fit the bill.

Fit and comfort were great. I returned this one because I wanted something more grey. The pewter one is on its way to me.

I bought these shoes because I have orthotics, so I need a fisherman style with removable insoles. I like these so much I got another pair in blue. The red is bright, a tomato red, so may be too bold for some. My only complaint is that the strap is not very adjustable, does not tighten enough for me.

I loved these shoes the moment I saw them! They are comfortable and will prob be my "running around" shoes this summer.

My usual shoe size is an 8 extra-wide; I ordered these in 38 wide, and they fit great! This is the first pair of Alegria's I've been able to wear. Usually the instep doesn't have enough depth, and I can't even get my feet into them. This pair still has a strap that cuts into the top of my foot across the instep, but I'm hoping that since it's just a single strap, it will stretch. Other than that, they are so comfy! I just got them, so . . . keeping my fingers crossed that the dreaded squeak won't appear! :)

This is my brand of shoes! Comfortable through and through. I usually wear the Paloma style. I can wear these without socks, and they really fit my hard to fit feet. Happy camper!

This is the most brilliant true red color that I have seen in a shoe. The Pesca style of Alegria shoes runs true to size and is very comfortable. The leather is soft so it does not put pressure on foot ailments such as bunions and hammer toes. I now have several pairs of this style shoe and it wears well. Zappos shipped very quickly and the shoes were well wrapped. I highly recommend this shoe.

I have had a lot of compliments on them. They are one of the most comfortable shoes I have. I have tried every shoe out there.

Love these shoes. Ordered the Bronze Easy and it's a great neutral. Didn't want to wait until spring to wear these so I am wearing with a thin sock. I am a size 9.5 so I ordered the 39 and they fit great. Haven't had any problem with the "squeaking" noise yet that others have mentioned, but will try the powder underneath the insoles if that starts. Also ordering from Zappos is the way to go, I ordered on Monday morning and they were at my home on Tuesday afternoon.

Because I live in a city with rugged brick and cobblestone streets, I won't compromise on comfort. I generally avoid packing new shoes for a vacation but not only are these adorable, they were 'good to go' right out of the box!

I loved these the moment they came out of the box! They are what I have been looking for in a comfortable shoe yet stylish enough for those places where athletic shoes just are not cool! I love the lighter color for warm climates to which we will be traveling this year. Everything I hoped for when I ordered! I have a wide toe area and narrower heel and these shoes feel good all over to me.

When I was advised to wear a rocker-bottom shoe I went online and found the Alegria brand. They were great for my plantar fasciitis and bunion, my feet hadn't felt so good in a very long time. However, soon after getting my shoes I noticed that they squeaking. I contact the company that makes them and was told there was a problem in the manufacturing process that caused the squeaking and was given new insoles for each of the 4 pairs of Alegria shows that I owned. I was advised to remove the old insole, take out the felt liner and insert the new insoles. I was not able to get the felt liner out, and the woman at the shoe repair shop had a very difficult time doing one pair and didn't want do to the other 3. I contacted the company again and after shipping my other 3 pairs of shoes back to them (at my expense) they replaced all 3 pairs. I find now that the 1 pair of Pesca's (a pair that was replaced by the company) that I've been wearing recently is squeaking, again. I'm at a loss. These are expensive shoes to begin with, and even though I got 3 new pairs of shoes at no cost, I'm still not satisfied because 1 new pair, at least, has started squeaking again. It's very difficult to find shoes that are comfortable for me, and the brand that I thought was the perfect solution, squeaks. I wonder if anyone else has had a similar experience. While the shoes have some very good features and are comfortable, it's hard to ignore the squeaking.

Ugh. These are not pretty shoes. I was prepared to live with that as the size was great (hard to find wide shoes). After wearing them around the house for an hour my knee (two surgeries) was killing me. I yanked the Alegrias off and slipped into my Orthaheels and my knee immediately felt better. I'd worn them yesterday for about 30 min. and had a similar experience...switched to my Clarks Bendables and my knee immediately improved. This shoe just tweaks my knee at an odd (for me) angle. Also, the footbed was a bit too firm for my taste. I got the tan shoes, and the color was very uneven...dark in some places, very light in others. So, for me, these shoes were a total dud.

These shoes were great ,right out of the box! I wear the Debra style for work in a size 39. I had to size down to 38 in these shoes. They are very comfortable with great arch support. I highly recommend them!

Okay, here's the real story. I thought that these shoes looked a little orthopedic but once you feel how great they are, that thought disappears. I now have them in four colors and every time I wear them I get multiple compliments. I also have four other looks in this brand. Just try them, you have nothing to lose.

I love this sandal! I was worried about the size. I'm a size 8, but I went with what was on the website (38 = U.S. women's 8-8.5). They fit perfectly and the color was exactly as shown for "midnight burnished."

Shoe was wonderful the moment I put them on. Wore them for three weeks and began to notice a clicking sound from the heel. The heel had wore down on the right shoe and appeared to be hollow. Since they had been worn I am not able to return them.

These shoes are wonderful. I have neuropathy real bad in my feet and legs and these are the only shoes I can wear and keep on all day. I have 4 pair and I'm going to order the blue next. They are great.

Stylish and comfortable. I bought these for work a love the fit. I normally wear a 39 but needed to get the 40 for a perfect fit.

I have this shoe in 2 colors, it is the most comfortable shoe for walking. I am so happy I decided to buy these shoes.

Alegria makes a beautiful shoe. These shoes are just what I wanted to wear on days when I have to walk to work this Summer. They are sized correctly and I did not have to "break them in." One problem, however, they squeak. Hopefully that will go away with wear.

Awesome comfort with a wide toe box and good fitting heel. I have had Alegria before that the heel was too loose, but this is a perfect fit and accommodates my bunions. The green is like an avocado green and is subtle enough to wear with a lot of outfits! They are quite boxy and not sexy, but comfy and practical.

Very comfortable. Looked a bit "ducky" at first, but after walking around in them, I really didn't care, they are so comfy. I had major foot surgery and this shoe accommodates my orthotic and allows for room for swelling. It feels great to wear a lightweight shoe again for the warm weather.

I bought my first pair of Alegria shoes as a last resort. My feet were hurting so bad I had bought new orthotics, and I just could not find the right shoe. I am a nurse and on my feet long hours. I no longer have to wear my orthotics. I wear these shoes all the time, for both work and casual. I have ordered a second pair if they are half as great as my first pair. I will be lucky. I will tell you this some style do not fit me like the first pair. I seem to have to stick with the one style, Alli Professional.
