This shoe is very comfortable. My 2nd pair this brand. I purchased these for a trip to Europe. They are great walking shoes with nice arch support. I wear my others for work as an RN 12 hour shifts! These are stylish and cute. Look good with shorts, Capris or pants! Even a casual dress will be ok with these cuties!

These were great summer "shoes" as an alternative to more open sandals & flip flops after knee surgery. They gave good support & were comfortable for walking. I usually wear a 39 but in Alegria brand I need a 40. But knowing that, it is all good. These are nice & wide across the toes - very comfortable. Alegria has become one of my favorite brands for help with my plantar faecitis.

This is a great shoe - I had ordered my normal size 40 (since I am new to Alegria - I should have trusted Zappos!) and it is just too big. Will try the 39. THe leather is very soft and comfy - great footbed , just too long so I swished around in them,

Hi - this is my first experience with the Allegria line - I ordered the Pesca in the black in a 40 which is my usual size in Birks -- it feels just a tad too loose - will try the 39 . It has great toe room, a nice low profile. If I can find the right size - I think it will be very comfortable. And thanks to Zappos - I ordered yesterday and am trying them on today!!! amazing!!!

I am thrilled I took a deep breath and bought these! They are really cute in an earthy, funky way. I have had multiple surgeries on my feet & my toes are a mess. These have a really roomy comfortable toe box and do not hurt! I had more or less given up on ever getting to wear anything but my keens again. I love my keen sandle and if it were not for them, would not be able to wear shoes, for the most part. But I have longed to be able to just wear a nice, black, real shoe again! These fit! This is such a big deal for me! I love the way they look on. They were very slightly tight when I first put them on. I haven’t worn a leather shoe in years, but remembered they usually need “broken in”. That was true, but it didn’t take long. The leather is soft and shaped to my foot well. I recommend these, esoecially if you have a difficult time with your toes! :)

Lives up to Alegria reputation

I am so thrilled to find these shoes! I have many foot issues and have had many surgeries on them. As a result, toes are misshaped, and nerves are really sensitive. I had tried so many (SO many!) shoes and have had so many failures. I just didn’t think I would ever wear “real” shoes again. I dread going out to any event, so I almost never do. One last shot, yay!! These shoes fit so well, I could tell right away they were going to work! I didn’t realize how badly I wanted them to until I was weeping about it! Silly, I know, but Alegria, you have changed my life! They have a great toe-box, shaped...like a human foot! (Imagine!) it is roomy side to side, but also up & down. If you have hammer toes, have had surgery, or just like to be supercomfortable, these are the shoes for you! I also like the little details, like the little snap feature on the hook & loop strap. It wasn’t neccessary, not functional, but adds a touch of style. I was also concerned that they would feel to high or rocking to walk in, don’t laugh! Remember I have been living in bare feet, keen water sandles & slippers -for years. They don’t feel heavy at all, and are comfortable walking, even with a cane or walker. I love the top of them. I loved maryjanes when I was much younger & healthier. I have been longing to wear a strap shoe again. They aren’t really maryjanes of course, but they fill the gap just fine for me. The maryjanes I have tried, cut right across surgery scars and hurt immediately! These fit differently and the leather doesn’t bind in that area at all. I would say that these fit very true to size, length as well as width. I have low arches, but still feel supported without being pressed up on my sole. I am not sure if they would feel good for someone with a very high arch or narrow foot, but for an average, medium they are wonderful! Thanks Zappos for making this possible! It is hard to get out & a really big hassle to try shoes on. I am grateful for your company and share you with anyone that will listen!

This is my second pair. The first pair is black and I’ve had them for two years. Very comfortable shoe. I have very flat feet and have issues finding shoes that are comfortable for me. These shoes work very well. I have several pair of Alegria shoes and highly recommend them for anyone who wants a comfortable shoe. I bought this pair in cognac leather. They are a neutral tan color. They go with anything.

This shoe is good for my plantar fasciitis. It’s pretty cute for a comfortable shoe but slightly clunky

I have finicky feet and Alegria is my new go-to brand. These Pesca sandals are very casual but immediately comfortable.

The suggested size ran small - particularly if I tried them with sox. I'm having a hard time getting this to fit, but going to order one size up from suggested size and hope they fit. They remind me of the earth shoes I had in the 60's. They are comfortable, if you can get them to fit.

A terrific looking go-to everyday shoe with a great footbed for my high arch problem feet, but to keep the shoe secure on my foot I had to pull the main strap over my instep as far as it would go and then, because so little velcro was engaged the strap popped open after a few steps. I wanted so much to keep them that I tried on and re-evaluated over and over and over. Sadly I will choose a different alegria style

my big toe bumped the end but this is my regular alegria size so I ordered another pair of same style and size and they fit fine. Quality control?

Be still my happy feet! Such a joy to find these and another pair in my size. My feet love Alegria and I have learned to think of them as funky and cool. Great for this senior!

I loved this style of shoe,so much, that i bought 3 more pair, in different colors. I have over pronation, and the arch in this shoe, really helps.

I have been wearing Pesca for 6 years, and completely wore out my black pair. I bought another black pair a few months ago, in size 38, and they are killing my feet. They feel too short and too tight across the arch. I kept thinking I would break them in and they would be as comfortable as my original pair, but that has not been the case. I decided to try a pair in a size larger, to see if that made a difference. It certainly did. The shoe is easier to get on, I don't feel as if my toes are at the end, and it feels more like my old Pesca.

I have Plantar fasciitis and teach middle school. I generally wear tennis shoes, and have desperately been seeking shoes I can wear with dresses that don't make my feet scream by the end of the day. (Yes, my feet "scream"!) I wore these in my house for about 6 hours and they performed beyond my expectation! I deducted one star only because the top of the shoe slightly rubbed my ankle on one foot. It wasn't a big deal, but kept them from "perfect" status.

I am so happy with this shoe that I want them in every color! I waited a couple of weeks to review in case something came up. No. They are perfect. Lightweight, sturdy, and comfy right out of he box. I wear size 10 in regular shoes. I ordered a 40 the first time and had to return. Ordered the 41 which is shown as 10.5. It's perfect! I should have read the reviews more carefully about sizing. I did follow the advice of other reviewers by ordering the wide replacement insert. It's slightly lower but equally supportive. I'm very happy. I also love Zappos prompt service!

I have a white pair of Alegria Pesca. I got last year and i would love to have an other pair

I bought this pair of shoes to replace the pair I have been wearing 40 hours a week for 5 years, which have finally worn out. The black shoes as pictured are identical to the black Pesca I have worn out. When my order arrived however, the black shoes were a little different. It is smooth leather instead of the textured leather my first shoes were. Even so, the leather is soft and flexible, and I already checked to make sure my orthotics will fit inside. A note about orthotics with Alegria shoes. The Alegria insole is so deep that orthotics don't fit well. I got my orthotics fitter to cut a piece of cork that fits down into the groove on the bottom of the shoe, so my orthotics can fit on top. Perfection. While they are cute for summer with no socks, I wear them with black compression hose for work. I stand on my feet for 10 hours a day, and I couldn't do it without these shoes. I have the Pesca style in several other colors too, but the leather is stiffer and has taken longer to break in. Also, I can wear a medium width but the wide with is more comfortable.

This shoe is very comfortable. They are called sandals, but i plan to wear them all year, can always put light socks on with them. I have been looking for navy shoes without much luck, they are a little wider in the heel than what i need. That's always a problem for me, but plan on using a heel gripper. Love the shoes, I find Alegria is one of the more comfortable shoes that i own. I have about 6 pairs.

order these 1/2 size big with wide width and they were still too narrow for my inserts- ran small

I love Alegria but found this shoe a bit large. Exchanged for next size down.

I bought a pair of these a couple of years ago when I was working as a tour guide at the Botanical Garden and was required to wear closed-toe shoes to work. They are ugly, but amazingly comfortable, even with my wide feet, high instep, and bunions. I usually wear an 8 EE, and the 38 wide fit very well. (I really wish Zappos would offer more of the Alegrias in the wide-insole option!) In order to work for me, shoes need to have a wide (or at least rounded) toe box, and these were just right. Anyway, I've been wanting to order a pair in a different color for months and months, but the really ugly black and the cognac that I already have are the only options offered in my size. It doesn't look as if Zappo's has any plans to get in more, so with summer almost here, I guess I'll give up and maybe try to order directly from Alegria. Love these shoes!
