Lovely shoe, but a bit too snug. I hope they will stretch or I can have them stretched just a bit. Well-made. Nice shade of brown.

I have many Alegria sandals and I love them. They are all size 38, so I bought a 38 in this style. They were a bit too short. My big toe was nearly at the end, but I might have been able to wear them if the toe box was not so shallow. The tops of my toe hit the inside of the shoe. This is unusual for Alegria. Otherwise, they are a beautiful shoe made of soft leather. Too bad. They are going back.

I have been hunting for fisherman sandals in my size for quite a while, and finally decided to try these. I normally wear anywhere between size 11 wide to 12 medium width, depending on brand as well as shoe style. I ordered size 11.5-12 (42 in European), and they fit just fine. While these shoes would look kind of cute in a smaller size (all women's shoes look better in a smaller size), in size 11.5-12 they make my feet look massive. (It's the style: where the leather is stitched to the sole, it creates a rim that outlines the shoe). Nice leather, if a bit stiff. But they seem well-put-together, so I'm hoping they'll last a few summers.
I'd also recommend:
Sanita (for clogs), Merrill (for hiking shoes)

The inside of the leather was very rough against the skin on my foot. I'm returning.

I ordered a size 41, based on reviews. However, my usual size 40 (usual US 10) might have been better. I wanted to like these! Size 41 did not fit contours of my foot well, and did not work with my orthotics. Maybe a 40 would work (without orthotics), though I would only know after wearing for a while. Overall, I'm frustrated.

Very cute shoe and quite comfortable, however I have a narrow heel and they kept slipping out of the back of the shoe. Unfortunately, I had to return them. I find Alegria shoes generally do not aggravate my Morton's neuroma, so I'm bummed these did not work out.

They look really nice, better than I expected compared to some of the brand's boxier and clunkier styles. But the tops of my toes felt smushed.

I loved the shoes, but they were narrow and could not be worn with socks, which I bought them. Had to return.

I returned this item. I liked the style and color but the instep strap was too narrow for my wide foot.

I returned these. The size for 11/12 was too short. My toes were touching the edge. Unfortunately for me they do not have it in a size 13/43. I wish they did.

The shoes were soft and cushioned, but I’m not sure if they are supportive enough for all day wear. I couldn’t figure out what the style reminded me of until I happened to see the baby sandals my mother had bronzed. They look kinda like the old school baby sandals worn in the 1950s and 1960s. They are an interesting style. You definitely won’t see your self coming and going.

My feet are the problem- not the shoe. I have several Alegria shoes and remembered the leather in this style is rather stiff so I ordered a larger size than I normally wear. Due to arthritis in a couple of toes, these are uncomfortable for me. Sorry I must return.

Size 37 smaller than other Alegria shoes, perhaps a 38 would fit

I wore these shoes for a whole year including 3-4 times a week during a summer camp program I directed. They were perfect for me because I’d experienced Alegria comfort before but needed more support than the slip ons. I returned them, however, because they squeaked with every step I took. At first I thought after breaking them in the squeak would go away. But after a year it never happened and I tried to get a different size but one wasn’t available in the color e same color or any other one I wanted. Maybe it was just a one-off manufacturing error. I’ve since looked for a red or turquoise pair in a different size and haven’t found them ANYWHERE! I’d love to give them another try.

Beautiful sandal, but the front of it is a little boxy, making it look dated.

This shoe was just a little to large for me. Additionally, the cognac color was too light, and the darker color, Tawny, was not available in the half size smaller that I apparently need in this shoe.

The back of the shoe tends to rub against the back of the ankle - that should get better once the shoe has been broken in.

Lovely shoe, but the ankle strap doesn't allow one to tighten it. It has an elastic part that simply gets wider. Therefore, I have to return these.

These shoes definitely run wide. I have slightly narrow feet, but I haven't worn actual narrow shoes since I was a kid. If they were offered, I'd buy a narrow in this one. I am always a US size 11, European size 42. I found this shoe to be confusing because the size conversions are a bit off on Zappos (though they did still say US 11 = US 42, the lower sizes were not the same as usual) and on the Alegria website it says US 11 = US 41 for this shoe. I ordered both to be sure. Unfortunately, both pairs will be going back due to the width issue. These shoes are also a bit odd in that the seam that sews the upper to the sole is set horizontally to the shoe (parallel with the ground) and sticks out 1/8" to 1/4" all the way around. The shoes look fine from the side, as in the Zappos video, but when viewed from the top the addition of both the shoe being built on the wide side and that extra seam width around the edge does give these shoes a somewhat clownish look on my feet. The shoes are very comfortable, though. My husband says I have "Princess and the Pea" feet because they are so very sensitive to any little bump in the shoe's material and I need a lot of cushion, especially in the ball of my foot. If they weren't so wide they would have fit the bill perfectly.

Not the most attractive summer shoe, but pretty comfortable and covers my ugly feet. Good value for the money.

These have potential but were a bit tight in the toe box. I am returning them for a slightly larger size.

Shallow toe box, but wide enough; loose in the heels and unable to tighten straps enough for security... sad about this.

I am only leaving a 4 star because the heel of the shoes slips up and down when you walk. No explanation for that maybe to wide in the heel. Super cute shoes and butter soft leather. True to size I wear an 8 and the 38 was perfect!! Would have kept them if not for the heel problem.. I am not one to leave reviews but decided best so maybe the issue could be adjusted. Oh and one shoe was a slight bit wider than the other one. Maybe will try again. I have other Alegria and love the shoe Alegria makes just an issue with the Pesca.

I've never worn an Alegria shoe before. I love this style, BUT the 38 is WAY too big, and the 37 is a tad too short. I ALWAYS wear a Euro 38, and US 7.5. I'm very disappointed in the random sizing.

This is my fourth pair in this style. I have metatarsalgia so need really good arch support and a wide toe box. This shoe works for that. What I don't like about the shoe is it's not comfortable without socks, so guess I need to get some of those footies. I have many Alegria shoes, have even purchased the men's Liam in brown and black for my husband and he loves them. I think the sizing overall is a bit large in all the Alegria shoes. I'm normally a 7 M, wear a 37 in this brand and they are plenty roomy. A 36 would be too short so keep that in mind when ordering.
