This is my second order of the same shoe design. I'm a size 6 and had ordered a 5 as I read reviews that they ran a size big. Size 5 was a bit tight and 5.5 was perfect for me. However, the color purple/gray which I liked was not available in the 5.5. So, I ordered the green one. It's a very bright neon green, I think people will see me from a mile. May have to return. 4 stars because of the color.

Love this shoe! I have wide feet (my running shoe is New Balance 8.5 wide) and in this shoe I ordered an 8.5 and had to send it back, the 8 fit perfect. In many shoes I even wear a 9. But it's super comfy...the insole felt weird at first but then I got used to it quick, and I really like it now!

Look and feel great but the gimmicky lacing system is ridiculous. I dismantled it and just tie the teeny weeny laces in a normal way. Would never buy this lacing style again.

The shoe is attractive, and I get a lot of compliments, but they are not comfortable. The shoe is super stiff and doesn't form to my foot. I feels like a boot. I'm super disappointed.

I had high hopes for these shoes based on the overall five star rating and the over 300 reviews. These met my expectations in every way except one: comfort. Maybe it is just an issue with the pair I got but with these shoes there is an awful lot of material in the area where the tongue is attached to the rest of the shoe. This creates a pressure point at the widest part of the foot (where the toes meet the foot) and where the foot bends with every step you take. The pressure is worse on the big toe side. It is such an issue for me that it actually hurts when I am not even standing. Let me be clear: I have slightly wide feet (no bunions or other foot issues) but these are not narrow shoes and my toes can freely wiggle in the toe box as can the entire toe end of my foot. The problem is not that these are too narrow on my foot. I keep telling myself that the issue will resolve itself the more I wear them and break them in but to be honest I only find myself wearing them about once a week and even then I really do not want to because of the discomfort. I am still up in the air about whether to keep these or send them back. For this price I expected to get more than a once a week uncomfortable wearing out of them! One final thing, Zappos needs to make it clearer what the difference is between the XR Mission W and XR Mission versions of this shoe. The prices, descriptions, and styles all look virtually identical to me.

I ordered the celadon/papaya colored version and they are bright and beautiful! The color is much nicer in person than what is reflected online. I ordered these because of the incredibly high reviews. I found the style to be a little clunky and there is a lot of material everywhere on this shoe. Most people mentioned that this shoe ran large, however the pair I received barely fit. I am a women's 12 and my big toes were touching the inside wall of the shoe, and this was with thin sport socks on. This is absolutely unacceptable for me, since my toes tend to hit the front of my shoes when walking or running. Wish I could keep these but had to send them back.

Let's get real. I am a casual runner, running about 10 miles a week. I researched and read reviews and decided on this shoe. I don't get what the fuss is about. It's okay. I honestly wouldn't be able to tell you the difference between these and $50 Reeboks. They're functional but didn't change my life. Toe box is humongous. The fit fine. Sizing is good. I found them stiff and hard. They're okay. They're just a shoe. They're cute, but they're a nothing special.

I'm not a fan of athletic shoes; they are usually clunky and ugly with bizarro color schemes. When I saw these I thought they were cute a different and the colors were pretty. But...comfort is key! So I read through a good chunk of the reviews too. Everything I read said these were comfortable and fairly wide and to order true to size, so I did. Big mistake. Huge mistake. The size 8 pair I bought were so tight I couldn't even get them on my feet. I exchanged them for an 8.5 and I was able to get them know but they were so tight across the top of my foot where the laces start that they were extremely uncomfortable. They were roomy in the toe box but across the top of my foot was just too tight to work. So, I'm returning them too. Unfortunately, I think that a 9 would just be way too long. I bummed because these really nice for athletic shoes.

With all the great reviews on this shoe I decided to go ahead and buy it regardless of the reviews that cautioned "hot spots" inside the shoe. Sure enough, the shoe does have potential blister makers around the tongue and lace eyelets. I could tell with the first try-on that they were a "no go" for running. The Salomon Sense Pro has a much softer supple inner feel with no hot spots, lots of cushy support and is a great running shoe.

Fun shoe, but it fits too tight over the top of my foot so it had to go back. There is very little arch support.

My only complaint is these are not for downhill hiking. My feet bump hard into the toe (I already have toe bruising). I don't have this problem with any other shoe. Will try a different pair of Solomons when i save up enough money to buy another pair of hiking shoes. Until then, I am stuck with this pair, since I had to wear them on the mountain to test them out. Also, the material near the ankles is fraying after a week of wear. A little dissapointed in these shoes, especially after all of the positive reviews. I hike about 6-10 hours each week and have a very high arch? Other than the toe issue going downhill, these are very comfortable shoes...I just can't wear them for what I bought them for.

I loved the Salomon 3D Ultra 2 because of the excellent arch support. I wanted summer shoes and chose this model thinking it would be similar. If I had not worn them a full day the first time, I would have returned them. I was very disappointed; there is limited arch support. Though attractive, I feel they are over priced and over rated.

I love the look of these shoes and get a lot of compliments; however, I would not purchase again. I use them for very light running couch to 5K kind of thing and a lot of walking. I do not care for the lacing system at all and the shoe runs large in length and width. They are lightweight and in my opinion not a good walking shoe.

This is the first time I tried Salomon and I am disappointed. It was comfortable for a week or so but quickly lost its support and cushioning. I use this as an all around walking, hiking shoe. Mostly around the neighborhood and in the local parks. Looks great but will not buy again because for the price it has not held up very well.

Wore these twice. Like them. However, the reflector dots on left shoe just fell off. I wore them twice. They did not get wet. I really like the look of the shoe and I'm really annoyed now. What the heck?

I have had Salomon sneakers for several years now- I think I have always had the speedcross before. These looked similar and I liked he colors so I got these instead. I am very disappointed, they don't feel like they have good support and they are way too wide in the toe area. I have tried to run in them a few times now and it almost feels like I am wearing old sneakers. I will probably just have to go back to the old style I have liked and I do think that the fit is very personal. I just wish I had sent these back before I had pain from wearing them.

Don't think I'll be buying this shoe again. Runs large. I was looking for a shoes with more cushioning in the heel. Definitely not this shoe. I put some power steps insoles in and they helped. Just not what I was looking for!

Love the footbed on these but get blisters if I run more than 3 or 4 miles. Even after I broke them in I can't seem to break the blister plague these shoes cause. Would love these without the hot spots for blisters, wish Salomon would please fix this problem. My Salomon GTX shoes I wear for winter runs have no problems, what's the deal?

I love the gorgeous blue & purple colors but, unfortunately, back they go. I wear a 12M in running shoes and these seem true in length and width. The arch support hit my foot at an odd angle making it uncomfortable (too high even for my high arches?). The very thin cord string doesn't tighten up well and I'm afraid it may break. I throw my running gear on fast and the "Quick Lace" fastener is, quite frankly, a pain to deal with. I much prefer regular laces.

When I tried on shoe out of the box, it certainly had higher arch support than I was accustomed to, but was not uncomfortable. Two miles later (walking) lots of pain in arch as well as big toe. I do have pretty flat feet. Unfortunately they were no longer returnable at that point.

Bummed that these don't fit! I love the look of this shoe! All the other reviewers stated they were running large. I ordered my regular size of 9.5 and my toes were at the end. Sending back to try again.

I've been wearing XA Comps and XA Pros for the past 10 or more years, so I bought my usual size 10 in the XR Mission. While the footbed seemed the right width, my toe touched the front of the shoe. And I really prefer the offset lacing system to snug around my forefoot. Green color a little too bright for me.

I have several pair of Salomons and this is the first for a return. I'm hoping it was just a fluke for this pair but the soles were not flat and sloped inward. The colors are great as well as the arch support and the toe box.

Not enough support for road running. I'll buy Asics again for running. Overall a good shoe and very grippy. Somewhat difficult to put on with the different lacing style. I would not buy them again for that reason.
