I bought these shoes for a 5-day trek to Machu Picchu in Peru. I wore them a few times before the trek and they were fantastic. We had rocky, slippery, gravelly terrain and these shoes did it all. They also were cute to have as my only shoe to travel around Peru in. I would highly recommend these shoes. I am not a runner, so I can't say how they are in that respect but for walking and hiking around I loved them.

I love these shoes. They are lightweight and very supportive. They do run large so consider a smaller size.

Fantastic! I am thinking of getting another color. I love the roomy toebox as it makes the shoe that much more comfy. The best! I get compliments from all age women on this shoe. Even strangers.

Absolutely love it! I got a pair when I was pregnant. Enjoy walking all that time in it! Now I am looking forward to getting the same shoes in different color! Highly recommended!

I'm writing this review to let you know if you have knee problems and want a good lightweight sturdy walking or running shoe this is it. I'm in my 50's and don't run anymore due to knee problems but I am very active, hiking, biking and walking. These feel like I am wearing nothing. The toe box is very wider which helps one of my feet that has a small bunion and I don't feel any pressure. I put them on and wore them all day and never had one problem with them. The latch did not losen like other reviews said but I wasn't running. I am a lover of Zoot shoes and love the comfort but needed more support than they could give me and that is why I went with Salomon XR Mission W

I could walk in these shoes all day! I have high arches and the support in these shoes is excellent. Plus, they are adorable!

I run 5 days a week on a combination of gravel road and paved road, flat and hilly terrain. These Salomons provide great traction and stability whatever the surface. I have also gone hiking on moderately difficult and difficult Colorado mountain trails in these shoes. These Salomons are great on changing terrain. The lace up system is my favorite part of the package. I have been jealous of my husband's pull-lace Salomon's in crazy bright colors for years. So I finally pulled the trigger for a pair in women's fit. I wear an 8. Based on other reviews I confidently ordered down a 1/2 size. Wrong. The 7.5 was too tight and short. I returned them for my regular size 8 (because Zappos is awesome like that) and all is well.

I absolutely love my new Salomon XR Mission W shoes. I am planning to stick to this brand as I have a sensitive bunion and I can wear these shoes for a full day of hiking or whatever without any foot problems.

Cute shoe, has good adjustment. But the strings are really long and have to be tucked in the stretchy pocket at the top of the tongue. The pocket is covered by the tightened strings. I like the shoe, but the fiddley notion of pulling the little pocket open and wadding the strings inside would get old really quick.

I love the feel of this shoe. It has just enough stiffness and cushion for a comfy ride. I was not crazy about the loud purple color at first, but so happy that did not deter me from making the purchase.

I have a narrow heal and wear orthotics. I like some room in the toe box so my toes don't tingle. These are perfect. I use them for walking and on the eliptical ascent trainer. Sometime, when I have a lot of housework, I wear them for leg and back support too. The color is a great conversation starter. Though my dogs really don't care so much about the color of my shoes.

I loved everything about this shoe except it did not fit my arch correctly; I kept them for a month trying them on at different times hoping it would change but...sadly it did not!

My feet love these shoes except that I wear a regular 6. However, I read the reviews and they always recommended 1 size smaller. The 5 was just too perfect of a fit that the side of my right big toe hurts a bit when I'm up walking. So, I'm returning this pair and will get a half size bigger. Hope there will be a 5.5. The very purple description is more fuchsia than purple to me but I still like the color.

I really love how these look but they are not as comfortable as I wish they were. They don't give blisters or anything but the sole in not very cushion-ey -- after a couple hours walking around my feet began hurting. I put in a different insole so hopefully that will help.

I walk about 30 miles a week, mostly hilly. These shoes were much more rigid than anything that I have ever worn, so I was prepared to dislike them. They do not have the flexibility that I am used to, but my feet feel much more stable when they strike ground. I walked about five miles right out of the box. No blisters - a problem I have with most walking shoes, and no sore feet or legs the next day. I also subconsciously curl my toes under when I walk, which I did not do with these shoes. They seem to run a bit large. I would definitely recommend them for walking or hiking.

I bought these because I loved the color. They are super comfortable. The space for my toes is great but I have to say it makes it look a little bit bulky compared to other brands. But I like them a lot. A keeper.

These are so darn cute. But, they did not have enough arch or support for me. Also ordered the X Ultra Prime in Salomon, I think these feel a little better to me. Might be okay if you're a runner, which I am not. Right shoe slipped a little on the heel in my normal size 10. I started with a 9 1/2 Which is what my original Salomons are. I think these are pretty true to your normal size, but if you think it's feels a little wide, like I did, I could have worn a 9 1/2, toes though seemed a little cramped to the tip of the shoe. So , cute as these are, hate to send them back, but need a little more of a supported shoe, and a better arch. Also, really didn't love the quick tie design, perhaps okay if you're not trying to work in these, just partial to a lace.

Great colors and comfortable on the first fit. Because I have a narrow heel I often put my shoes on without undoing laces (my bad). Elastic lace makes it easy in this case. The upper heel isn't completely rigid, and very slightly smooshes down just a bit while putting on the shoe, but not so much that I can't get my foot down. I would prefer a loop at the heel so I have something to grab, but it isn't really an issue. Lightweight and breathable, great for dry weather.

I have worn these shoes on gravel trails in the mountains for a month. The sole is very grippy and keeps my feet from slipping. The fabric covering the shoe is thin and has already torn. But the sole is perfect and that is what matters most to me.

I love the shoes, but hate the laces. I don't get why there's any need to make tying shoe laces easier, is there an adult who's having difficulty tying their shoe laces? Anyways, in order to tighten them so the shoe doesn't slip off, the really thin lace digs in and causes some discomfort. The support is otherwise excellent. I couldn't wear them for the full 12 hour shift because the top of my foot hurt from the darn dental floss shoe lace.

Great color! Not the most comfortable shoe I own. These are my "show" shoes... I wear them on weekends and to my son's baseball games, but prefer running and working out in a more cushioned pair of shoes.

"QUICKLACE™ system offers a snug, secure fit and one-pull tightening." Yeeeahh, not so much. It's like the laces were put in upside down, as the device to secure the laces is very hard to work. It's almost as if the designers didn't take into account where our thumbs versus our fingers are. It took me less time to change out of all of my winter clothes from work into my gym clothes than it did for me to tighten the laces on these sneakers the first time. Very comfortable if you're patient, and don't mind painfully breaking a nail or two.

I wanted to love this shoe, and probably would have if I had not ordered the Asics Gel to try as well, but it came too high on the back of my ankle and was not as comfortable. It was very comfortable, just not as much as the Asics. I love the way they looked, but went with the more comfortable shoe. I would recommend this shoe to others, but it was not right for my foot. I hate to have to send it back!

Everyone said to size down. I normally wear an 8, so I got a 7.5. Way too small. I'm in the process of sending back and already ordered in an 8. Love the shoe otherwise. Great looking and I can tell I'm going to love them!
