I always have problems with the ball of my foot, so I need a toe box that is wide and these fit the bill. I also like that then they wrap in around the mid foot. The only thing I don't like is they don't have a tremendous amount of cush.

I'm always 8 1/2 but had to go down 1/2 size. The colors are Wow just like the pictures. I wouldn't wear these without socks due to the feel of the mesh lining material. The tongue is very thick and I found it hot but I live in south Florida and it was 95 degrees with 150% humidity when I was taking them on a test run so... Bottom line I kept them, partly because they are so funky colorful.

I liked my first Salomon's better than these - they seemed to have more cushioning and were better looking. But these have been good hiking shoes - I always order a size up when getting these type of shoes and it works.

I just got my first pair of Salomon's (XR Mission W) today. I'm not real sure, at this point, if I am going to like them, or not. They don't seem very cushy, and the sole is pretty loud on the floor. Not the most comfortable shoe. I purchased them based on good reviews. Time will tell. They are pretty! Vibrant colors! They need to add a category (for review purposes) for "Overall comfort."

This pair of Salomon’s has a very stiff bottom; it is not the normal soft and comfortable running snickers that you are used to. It is really a stable shoe for rough terrain. I had many pairs of Salomon’s in all different styles. I love this one in particular because they are roomy all around it and very helpful for when your feet swell up from a long trail run.

I get lots of compliments when I wear these shoes. They are very cool looking. The fit is great especially for anyone who has bunions. My orthotic fits well without pushing my foot up too high. I don't like the laces though. They are too long and doesn't seem to be a way to shorten. They also get stuck sometimes and don't loosen easily. Word of caution when you walk down steps. The back of the heel sticks out and my foot gets caught on the step. Can be a fall hazard! Yes, I have big feet but this has not happened with any other shoes.

I like everything about this shoe except the special lacing feature. The lace is long and it has to be tucked in after it is pulled tight. Tucking it in takes a couple of tucks because the cord is so long. It's faster to have a tie shoe.

The shoes arrived just on time. I paid extra for the two day delivery since these were so cheap.I am very pleased with the shoes. I wear a size 8 and that is lose on the toes, which is fine. They are vibrant colors. These are great shoes.

These shoes are true to size. I wear a 10.5 in all my running shoes and initially ordered down 1/2 a size because of reviews I read. I had to return them for the 10.5s. Very comfortable.

Great traction, but not nearly as much arch support as I expected. Definitely a trail running shoe -- there isn't enough shock absorption to run on concrete/track in these. But I can tell they'll last for a long time, and the style is great!

I love all Salomon shoes, these were not quite as cushy or padded as my other styles. They are comfortable but you will not get the padding if you are looking for that. Took a run immediately after putting them on!

I've had these for a few weeks now. They LOOK great, and feel pretty good. I'm not crazy about this type of shoe string, as they seem to stay tight at the top, but loosen near the footbed.

Super comfortable and the color is great! Fit true to size, I usually wear a 9 in most of my shoes and 9.5 in my running shoes. The 9.5 was too big so I ended up exchanging them for the 9 and the fit was better.

I purchased these shoes for work. I stand on cement all day and it takes its toll on your feet. These shoes are comfortable. Nice and roomy toe bed. Could use more cushion in the heel. I get tons of compliments whenever I wear them.

I have four pairs of the Salomon Speedcross 3 CS shoes, but I wanted to try these. They have just arrived, and I'm thinking of going with a half size smaller and seeing if they fit a little better. They run wider and longer than my other Salomons. Still, I love the styling and color! I get compliments all the time on my Salomons. So many people haven't seen the bold colors and just fall in love with them at first sight. I shoot trap, so I'm standing a lot, and the heel and arch support on the Speedcross shoes is wonderful. Verdict is still out on the Mission. I just need to make sure I'm wearing the right size. Other than the size difference between the two styles, the quality and appearance is comparable.

I am a big fan of Salomon shoes - partially because I'm terrible at tying my shoes (lame, I know), and partially because my feet are very finicky and they always feel good. These are the lightest and most comfortable of the 6-7 pairs of Salomon shoes I've had over the years. I really wish these came in some less heinous colors, but I keep telling myself that they're so ugly that they're find of cool.

Hugely disappointing. Very cute to look at, pretty comfy -- until you try to wear them without socks. The back of the heel is lined with the same mesh the top is made of, and it caused me terrible blisters. Also, the really clever lacing system just doesn't work properly. It's really hard to loosen the toggle.

Nice fit, true to size, light, and decent arch support. However, the lace "apparatus" often gets caught underfoot, even if I securely tuck them under the tightened laces. Subsequently, they are a pain in the butt for running. I would consider this a major design flaw.

These are insanely well built and comfortable - at least what I can tell from the reactions I got in buying them for my mom. They run a half size bigger than expected so order a half size smaller than you normally wear. AND the string concept while old hat to some was confusing for my mom. Weird little pull cord contraption. Otherwise well worth the money.

Really cute, but two improvements would make these five star: 1) the fabric on the heel liner is rough and it should be smooth; 2) the little doo dad on the laces is virtually impossible to loosen. Easy to tighten -- hard to loosen.

I love this shoe. I have a wide foot and they feel great. The heel box is a little narrow. And you have to get used to how they tie but they don't come undone while working out.

Very comfortable! Almost like a "barefoot" shoe with added support/ cushion. Size is 1/2 size larger than most. Great for those who have wide feet and are flat-footed.

I've had several Solomon trail runners that I've loved. These ones are stable, nice quality, and similar size in length, with plenty of toe room. Nice and airy with the mesh. Most unfortunately they were a little snug across the instep with my orthotics and I had to return them.

Great shoes! Second pair of Salomons I have purchased and I really like them - comfortable on the first wear. The only downside is that they are not very warm in the winter. I just wear thicker socks.

I really liked the fit of these shoes except that the toe-box was far too wide. The shoes felt like it had very good support and the construction looked great, but for my narrow feet, not good in the toe box area, just too much extra fabric that would crumple on a good long run and irritate tops of my toes. The color is a little gaudy, but the fit mid-foot and heel was great. If the toe-box was not so excessive, I would have kept them.
