I'm a speech pathologist that works in a 500+ bed hospital. Over the course of an 8 hour shift I'm likely to walk a few miles up and down the corridors of several buildings to treat patients. Hence, the need for comfortable shoes. Dansko has been my go to brand for comfort and professional style. I got the Sam in black and received compliments on them the first day. These are my "summer" shoes for work, so I skip the socks. After several weeks I have not yet complained of stinky sweaty feet. I wear size 8 US and I purchased these in a size 39 EU (supposedly comparable to 8.5-9 US). 39 fits me well in this strappy style as well as other Dansko clogs that have fuller coverage on top while wearing cotton ankle socks. Next summer I may try the stone color unless Dansko comes out with something new.

I love these shoes so much. They are easy to wear and because I am on my feet so much they are comfortable. They work with virtually any outfit that I wear to work. And, with serving food and being in the kitchen I have to keep my toes covered for safety reasons, these do the trick. I am very happy with this purchase.

This shoe is synonymous with me. I have been wearing this style for more than 10 years now. I switched to Sanita briefly when Dansko altered footbeds but I am back to these and very happy. (Thank you Dansko for correcting your error!) I wear them while working on my feet all day. I generally must wear orthotics but these support my fallen arches very well.

I love these shoes! I'm a pharmacist & stand on my feet for 12 hours straight. Dansko shoes keep my feet & legs feeling great...& the shoes look stylish too!

I get tons of compliments and they are super comfortable. But the sand dollar gets stained so easily. It is a really light color. I wish I thought of this before I bought them.

Wonderful supportive shoe. I like it better than my closed-heel Dansko clogs because it doesn't flop around like the closed-heel ones do. Super cute look for spring and summer. I am not having any sweaty-feet problems because of the non-leather lining, though of course I would prefer leather to synthetic. I have worn a 39 in Danskos for years and these are true to my usual Dansko size.

These shoes are very comfortable straight out of the box! It helps to wear the small toe socks. These are my 3rd pair of Danskos with the lighter soles and they're wonderful! Great arch support!

I love these shoes. At first, I had the strap too tight and it pulled my foot forward too much. After I loosened it a notch, they are great! The first time I wore them was a 12 hour day-no problems!

Love this. I have a bunch of other Dansko and sizing is consistent. I had first purchased the Harlow; the look was cute but they were so stiff (and didn't break in) I couldn't wear them without socks so I replaced them for these. They are a great go anywhere, comfortable and classic maryjane style sandal.

Lovely shoe! I picked up the Sand Dollar color and it just wasn't the right tone for me - it looked more like a pantyhose color than a sand dollar, ha. But the style, oh my gosh. So comfortable! Soft on the interior, a cute design for someone looking for a shoe with that classic awesome Dansko sole that's a little stylish. I ended up having to return for a different color but I know they will not require any break-in time at all! Great buy. I wish they came in more colors!

As usual, great looking, great fitting, comfortable shoes from Dansko. My black pair are a little duller looking than expected (as in color/finish) but still good. Also, these are cut a little tighter across the top than my last pair of sandals, but no chafing--just taking a little getting used to. I will wear these and my brown sandals from Dansko all summer!

Love these! So comfy. Put them on right away and walked with no problems. They got wet and dried with no stains. And after a walk through some mud the heel washed right off. Would love these in other colors!

I work in a hospital and wanted shoes I could be in all day. I have very flat arches in my feet and need good arch support, otherwise my knees and lower back feel it by the end of the day. These shoes really provided good support. They are not soft and cushy, but they do help provide structure for your foot so they don't feel so taxed by the end of the day. I will say though that both of my pinky toes get squished and are pretty sore after a few hours. I have really narrow feet so I'm not sure why this is happening. I keep wearing them hoping that breaking them in will help. I hope it does because I spent a good chunk of change on these and I intend to wear them for a long time!

Love this shoe. It feels extremely comfortable and didn't take any "breaking in" time. Have had several compliments on how cute they are. They can be worn casual (with jeans, pants) or with a skirt. Very versatile.

The fit on this shoe is a little weird. At first, I thought that the footbed was too short because my toe touched the tip of the shoe when I stood up. However, when I tightened the ankle strap, it seemed to adjust the position of my foot in the shoe so my toe didn't touch the tip and the arch was in the right place. However, a little "breaking in" time was necessary to stretch the ankle strap so that the shoe was comfortable. It will do - however, this style is not nearly as comfortable as the older, Mariah style shoe with clog sole.

This is a comfort shoe that looks good. The sole is wonderfully cushioned. There is light arch support. The ankle strap needs a little breaking in.

I have now ordered my third pair of these. I have a lot of foot problems, and out of hundreds of pairs of shoes that I have, I wear this style 90% of the time. They are the only shoe that does not hurt my feet. I really need more colors...dark true navy, wine, black patent, etc. Please expand this line!

This shoe is comfortable and supportive yet can be worn with pants or skirts. I have plantar fasciitis and bunions as well as a narrow foot and these work!

This is the perfect Dansko summer sandal. Comfortable, classically styled for longevity, great craftsmanship, right shade of brown.

Love this brand and this shoe. I have a lot of trouble with my left foot (bone tumor) and it's hard to find casual shoes that feel good for long periods. These are so comfortable I could wear them all day.

I absolutely love these sandals! They are comfy right out of the box. I have worn them everyday since I got them and no blisters or rubs. They are the perfect color to wear with khakis, and look good dressed down with denim capri pants or office casual with khakis.

I have funky old feet that love this great shoe. Comfortable from the moment you put it on. True to size. Excellent transition style, works with jeans or a dress.

Love, love, love these shoes. I have them on right now. I bought them for a trip to California wine country and San Francisco. No break-in period needed - they were great right from the start. Walking in the country and the city for long periods of time was no problem at all - very stable on uneven terrain. And I like the added height because I'm only 5'1! I found these to be more comfortable than the standard Danskos.

Dansko always comes through for me. I am a special ed teacher and on my feet all day. I also have plantar fasciitis and this is the only brand that doesn't hurt my feet! And once again, Zappos is my favorite place to buy shoes. I ordered these late Monday afternoon and received them Tuesday morning with free shipping!
