I SO WISH these would have fit properly. I found the straps around the ankle to be too thin (width across) and just didn't look right on my foot. That paired with the portion of the top that crosses my foot across the top sort of cut into my foot meant they headed back to Zappos. Too bad, they seem to have a great footbed with good support.

These are my 2nd pair of Danskos after falling in love with my pink Professional clogs. I wanted to love them but didn't. For some odd reason, they made my feet look fat, and I think I have pretty narrow-to-normal-sized feet. They were comfy, but not MIND-blowingly so. I think I'm gonna return them and get another pair of Professionals :)

I love the look of this shoe; can be worn with everything but cocktail dresses. I own at least 10 pair of Dansko but, as to comfort, these aren't my favorites. Because the foot bed is inflexible, it's not a good shoe for me to wear for walking around or being on my feet all day. (Oddly, this is not true with the Professional clog.) Also, I have a very narrow foot, often have to put a gel pad in the toe area. This forces my foot up against the leather which isn't soft, or flexible, so, again, not great on comfort.

This shoes are very comfortable. Wore them all day out of the box and have seen a lot of action in one weekend. I needed something other than sneakers for running around with my toddler.

I have wide feet and took a chance on these. Unfortunately, one foot is wider on the other and the shoe hit an uncomfortable spot on my wider foot. Also, I was going for a 1970s clog style but found these more of a round-toe chunky mary jane look, almost like a Minnie Mouse shoe. Very cute, but not for me. I think these would be very comfortable on most people's feet-- the one that fit was light and stable while walking.

I really love these shoes. I wear a 9-9.5 and the 40 fit the best, 39 was too snug. Inspect the shoe when you first get it though, the straps of mine were different lengths, and after a long day on my feet, the one on my right foot gets a little too snug for comfort, but I'm taking my shoes off at that point anyway. I should have sent them back for another pair, but had already worn them a few times before noticing and seeing the measurable difference. I've only had for a few weeks, but I would buy again.

My size used to be 10aa; and now is a 10 1/2a; the only width available is B, so I needed it to strap on my foot. At times my ankles are swollen, so I needed to loosen the ankle strap; but there is little to let out; the strap could have been more generously longer. The support is good and the heel height is just right. The leather is not the greatest quality and seems more like heavy paper rather than a supple leather. It should be a good walking shoe...yet to be determined. I only wear Dansko now and know why podiatrists recommend this brand.

I tried these because I thought they might work well for my wide feet, and they do, but I just don't love how they look on. Because they're kind of chunky, they make my wide feet look even chunkier than they are. I'm not ready for that yet! I'm sending these back and keeping a pair of Worishofers instead (equally comfortable, slightly less bulky).

This is an incredibly amazing shoe. Daily wear during the summer -- I like the closed toe, yet the "open" space for the rest of the foot. I don't get a lot of compliments on these, like some of my other Danskos, if they had some of their fun patterns I would go for them. Would also LOVE to see these in a Navy Blue [please, Dansko !? Great for walking, easy hikes I've done this and am sure that the durability and comfort I experienced far outweighed that of the others wearing tennis shoes.

I would love these shoes even more if the color matched the photo! They are considerably lighter in person than they appear in the photograph. Perhaps with wear they will darken? Otherwise, they are light and comfortable. Not at all "clunky" as clogs can sometimes be.

I work in a coffee shop, standing for eight hours at a time. I also have terrible arches and usually have to wear prescription orthotics. While these shoes certainly aren't as waterproof as I'd like, they are incredibly comfortable. Once my feet got used to them (a few days of wear) I fell totally in love with them. My feet rarely hurt at the end of a long day now. I even wore them to a wedding last night and after standing and dancing all night, my feet still felt great! They're also soo cute and go with tons of different outfits.

These are seriously some cute shoes! And they go with so many outfits! The only issue I have with them is that the top rubs against my foot and often leaves blisters. I will have to find some half socks or stretch them out. I have wide feet and I wonder if this might be part of that.

I'm getting some of the chafing at the top that people have mentioned, although it was better on my second wearing, so I am optimistic that they'll break in. The ankle strap is also almost impossible to buckle with one hand, so getting them on is a bit of a wrangle. And they definitely make my feet sweat. They're adorable in the red, though, and that's worth its weight in gold for a comfortable shoe in my size (11.5, although I had to get these in 12). Assuming they do stop chafing, I'll get a ton of use out of these for work.

I have truly terrible feet: very wide, bunions, crooked big toes, very narrow heels. I have 3 pairs of Dansko Margretes that I ordered a number of years ago and still wear. When I ordered a new pair two years ago, they were so tight I couldn't get the shoes on. Found out they were now being made in China so I gave up on Danskos. So glad I started looking at their shoes again. I read all the reviews, then ordered the red in 40 and 41. I wear a size 9.5 WW. The shoes are adorable -- really, really cute. They hide my ugly toes and make my feet look nice. The 40 is a little tight but the 41 was too long and cut into the inside of my left foot. The right felt sloppy. So I'm keeping the 40. If these work out, I'll order more in other colors. Zappos has been so patient with me because in my search for comfortable, attractive shoes, I've ordered lots and returned lots. Order one day, get the shoes the next plus free shipping. Can't get that service with other stores.

I really loved these shoes - so much so that I spent far more than usual for sandals. I have tons of regular Dansko clogs but this was my first pair of soft-insole sandals, and I am happy to see that I am not the only one who found that they are stinky.

I have a long walk to and from the subway for my commute and I've had a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable for that walk AND to wear all day. I'm tired of carrying extra shoes in my bag. I decided to try these Dansko sandals because I've heard great things about the comfort of the brand and they look great for spring, summer and fall. I ordered a 39 (I'm usually a 9 US) in the Sand Dollar color. They are a bit too small (too short and too tight on the opening part of the closed toe. I'm going to exchange them for the next size up and see if they fit better.

I LOVE these shoes. However, after not wearing them too long, THEY STINK. Apparently this is a well-known problem. Guess I need to call Dansko and they'll send me shoe spray and a brush to clean the funk out.

When I first saw these shoes, I fell in love with them and purchased all the colors. It's amazing how painful these shoes turned out to be. The pressure was Unbearable On The Bony Area below My Small Toe, Especially The red and black ones. I used a candle and rubbed it on the area of the shoes that is causing the excruciating pain. somehow it would help ease the pain.

Nice looking and comfortable. I like that they are stable - no ankle twisting. These shoes are well made and after many months of wear, they still look great and don't show the wear. I do sometimes get a red spot (pre-blister) over one of my big toes when I walk in them ~1 mile or more. I wish the toe area breathed more... but it is a closed-toe shoe.

I loved these and had high hopes for them! However, I had to send them back because both shoes squeaked loudly when I walked. I expect better from Dansko. This is the second pair of defective Danskos I've had to send back within the past year. As usual, Zappos Customer Service is THE BEST!

I hated to return these. They are really cute, but the two problems I encountered with them just made them not worth keeping. I ordered the tooled brown leather and the detailing was so pretty. Really nice quality. I have a lot of foot pain due to multiple problems...foot surgery, bunions, plantar fasciitis...yada yada yada. These shoes felt great on the soles of my feet, which is where most my pain is. That was huge and made me happy, BUT I wore them around the house for a few hours and the things that forced me to give them up were the following: 1.) The sides of the toe-box dug into my feet and were very painful. I don't have super wide feet and guess that a narrower foot would be fine here. It is totally possible that the leather would loosen up and stretch over time and I was almost willing to keep them, but... 2.) The toe-box does not breathe AT ALL. My feet were so hot in these and started to sweat...and that's just really uncomfortable. Just imagine the potential for stink nasty shoes. I'd rather avoid that.

I have terrible feet -- wide, flat arches, prone to pain, a bunion -- and I have such a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable, supportive, and don't cause pain if I'm on my feet all day. I have 3 pair of Danskos now, including the red 'Sam' and I rotate them during the week, because they're the only shoes that don't leave me in pain at the end of the day. I get so many compliments on these, too! Since I've started wearing them regularly, several of my co-workers have started wearing their Danskos, too. We're starting a Dansko revolution! Only slightly negative comment: I should have ordered up a 1/2 size. Will do so next time, since I plan to order these in the neutral beige color on payday.

These shoes are so amazingly cute. If you have wide feet or high arches you may or may not have problems with the toe portion. I have both and I find the toe portion to be slightly tight but I am keeping them because I feel it will stretch and will not bother me for the time being. Plus, they are too cute and fit great other than the aforementioned. I wear these in a 43 and I wish there were more styles available in the 43!

This shoe is beautiful and comfortable. Looks cute with leggings, jeans, dresses, you name it! My first comfort shoe i'm excited to show off! Unfortunately, I will be exchanging this pair as I ordered the sand-colored ones thinking they would blend in nicely, but the color looks more like a taupe (the flat brown color commonly used on senior citizen shoes) than a neutral leather.
