I love these. This is my second pair purchased. I normally wear a size 6 in pants depending on the brand. I find Kuhl runs a bit small in the thighs, so I had to order up a size.

These are great shorts -- lightweight and lots of pockets. Also, they don't stretch out during the day like some shorts do. Wish they had more color options.

These shorts are great! They come to just about my knee and I am 5"4" tall. The fit is really comfortable and attractive. Although there are side pockets, they lie close to the body. Great looking shorts too. I can wear a really casual t-shirt or a collared shirt with them.

I looked at local stores for these Kuhl shorts and they did not have the size I needed. I looked on the Kuhl website and they only had one of the two colors I wanted. So... I got on Zappos and they had both colors in the size I needed. I ordered them and had them in 2-3 days. :-) I love the Kuhl Splash 11 shorts, very comfortable, and I got what I needed super fast from Zappos!

Love these shorts! After reading all the reviews, I wasn't sure what size to order- but I took a chance and ordered my normal size. They fit perfectly. The legs are slim, so if you are used to wearing your clothes snug, I can see why going up a size may be necessary. Love the length and style- the side pockets aren't bulky- so the look is streamlined.

I love these shorts! They have a great fit, are super comfortable, and a great look. As always with Zappos, fast arrival!

I love these shorts. Sturdy cotton material with extra pockets. When I travel abroad I like the extra pockets to carry my stuff in so I do not have to carry a purse. Have two pair of the shorts and two pair of the long pants. I like cotton to keep me cool, because I often travel in very warm climates.

Very cute and functional shorts. Nice and long, but not so long that they hinder walking. Not baggy or "blousy" like most cargo shorts. Great for hiking or walking or just hanging out. I usually wear a 4 bottom in brands like JCrew, but wear a six in Kuhl. I could have gone smaller but I do use these on the trail as well as around town and don't like things too tight. The fabric is great, light but sturdy, and washes and dries beautifully, no need to pamper these.

This is an awesome short with an athletic look that is still stylish and more versatile than wearing workout wear. Bought to hike across the Grand Canyon from rim to rim. Good for that and for hot weather. fast drying. Stylish enough to wear to my son's high school football games and cargo pockets are big enough to stash my rather large camera lens cap in a side pocket. Only downside is that these shorts stretch a bit more than expected throughout the day, though. Maybe increase one full size over the course of 6-8 hours of wear. Could size down but then the waist would pinch for the first hour or two.

I absolutely live, love, live this shorts. They come right to my knees; fit comfortably at the waist, and are a great short for hiking, golfing and traveling. I use the knee pocket for my cell phone. They wash nicely and dry ver quickly. I do suggest ordering one size larger than normal. I ordered these shorts in both colors.

These are really great shorts. I'm hooked and got gray and blue. What is more, I got olive and gray in the splash pants as well. I'm a fan. Great pockets. Flexible, but with some cotton so more natural feeling than some other shorts and zip off hiking pants. Still, they dry fast. The waist is just slightly lower than in some pants but that makes then more, not less comfortable. They're not low cut, hip huggers, don't worry. I like the slightly longer cut. I wear them for every day and out on the trails, for hiking and trail running. You can fit what you need in the pockets. If they feel a little tight at first, no worries. They have some stretch to them and expand a little bit and become increasingly comfortable with wear. Highly recommended!

I have a couple of Kuhl pants and was excited about trying a pair of shorts. The shorts are great, very comfortable and cute. I wear a size 10 and they fit perfect. They are long, covering most of my thigh.

These are great, sturdy shorts. I'm so grateful to Kuhl for making longer shorts. They make perfect hiking shorts for those of us over a certain age. They fit me perfectly and I get lots of compliments on how flattering they are. I have 3 or 4 pairs in different colors. Plenty of pockets. Bravo Kuhl!

I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered up a size. They fit well except for the waist; it is a little loose. I love the style, not too long, and the pocket on the right leg is perfect for your phone. I love them so much, I got them in both colors!

These have been great shorts. I like the style a lot. I've had them about 3 weeks. The button is a unique style and I like it, but I just hope it lasts.

I wore these while hiking the West Highland Way trail in Scotland. I hiked 13 miles a day in these shorts for a week and loved them! Extremely comfortable. Kuhl makes excellent outdoor gear and these shorts live up to the name.

I just love these shorts and have a pair in the khaki color and black. They are so comfortable and are a great length - not too short, nor too long. They do run a bit small. I normally take a size 4 and in these the size 6 was perfect.

LOVED these shorts. Amazing mid-rise fit with no gap in the back. I hemmed them to an 8 inch inseam and it still looks great with the cargo pocket. I got the teal--a wonderful deep, bright color. These wash well and don't require ironing. Oh yes, and absolutely order a size up. I ordered a 14 even though I am a size 12, 95% of the time.

They are a great comfortable fit. They aren't tight and they allow you to move around with ease. You can use them as shorts for the beach or to go casually.

Love the shorts, but they definitely run a size small. They are also heavier than some styles. Plan to reorder a larger size.

I love these shorts. So many pockets. I bought them for a trip to Bali. I will definitely get use out of them. I bought the Baltic color. Many of my travel clothes are neutral, so I figured let's kick it up a notch with some color. These are a bluish greenish color. tougher to match perhaps but I can have fun experimenting.

I have the Splash roll up pants which I love and wear all the time. The shorts fit great too. A little tight fitting so best for women with narrow hips.

Got these in khaki and love them: well made and comfortable, fit was perfect for me. I experienced no issue with the crotch -- these are between a mid and low rise. Wish more colors were available.
