Shorts are great. Length and style are same as pictures. At first they seemed a little stiff and tight, but loosen up quickly. Would recommend.

the pockets are super handy and fit a lot including a smart phone. they wash up well, are comfy, and love the quick dry feature.

These shorts are great--even nicer than I'd hoped. Very well made, stylish, and super comfortable--the stretch fabric is great. Much better quality than the shorts I had been buying at athleta. The cut is good--not too baggy or too narrow, but they do seem to run a bit on the small side. I took the advice of the other reviewers and sized up--got an 8 instead of a 6, and am happy I did, since I didn't want them to be tight and I have more of an athletic build. Really nice shorts.

These shorts are awesome. They are true to size and comfortable. The pockets are real - not those dumb "girl pockets" that won't hold anything. I've washed them a couple times and they came out perfectly.

I was a little uncertain about how much I'd like these. I thought that the photos of these shorts on the model looked a little funny, but I decided to try them out anyway. I'm so glad that I did! They look super cute. I just took them on a canoe camping trip and they were perfect for that -- quick dry, nice length to keep the sun off my legs, but still had a fair bit of sun protection. They fit very nicely, too. Two enthusiastic thumbs up.

Loved the style and the shorts fit very well (size 2--I'm 5'5 and 115lbs), but the color wasn't what I expected: it was neither navy nor gray and looked like a dark teal. The color doesn't coordinate well with tops I've got, so I'm sending them back.

I love theses shorts! I have a pair in dark green and now in black. I originally ordered a size 2 (because I have the pants in a 2) but the 4 fits me better in the shorts. There are enough pockets to hold everything when I am hiking!

These are my new favorite shorts! I have a small waist, bigger hips, and they are very flattering. I will purchase again.

These are great shorts. They look good and feel good. I have three pair. They do shrink progressively if you put them in the dryer. This time I bought a size larger and will stop using the dryer when they fit just right.

Love these shorts! The snap pockets, the fabric, the quality are all great. Sizing can be a little tricky, though. I have a pair in khaki that fit perfectly in my normal size. I ordered another pair in the carbon color, and could barely get them snapped shut. When I laid the khakis against the carbon, sure enough, they were larger. Ordered a size up in the carbon, and they fit perfectly. So I guess that it depends on which color that you choose, as to what size you will need. Fortunately, exchanges are easy.

Awesome shorts that I pull out to wear frequently. Quick dry, long wearing and the pocket are in all the right places with snap closures so your phone and keys don't fall out. I have two pairs of this short. I find they run large so you might want to order a size down.

I'm 5'8 1/2", 59+, 129 lbs. I find these to be comfortable shorts. Cargo pocket is not bulky looking yet fits my cellphone easily and it rides in a comfortable, mostly imperceptible place on the side of the leg. These have become my go to shorts for summer. They're not obviously outdoorsy which is nice when my day takes me to town as well. Although I would like a bit of a higher rise than these provide, they are a good choice, nonetheless. Fabric is light and dries quickly, construction is sturdy, longer length is sweet without being draggy looking. They do stretch out when you wear them..I was glad I bought the snugger of two sizes. Interesting color choices.

These are my new favorite shorts. Very well made and comfortable. I have slim hips and thighs and my normal size 8 fits perfectly. I am so pleased that I have finally found cargo shorts that have a pocket big enough to carry my phone. I Love these shorts and will be getting more.

These shorts fit good and fabric feels comfortable. Very useful pockets. Really liked the length and only would like to see in a light stone color.

These shorts were so well made but I found out that my usual size 8-10 body had to go to size 12. I loved the styling, generous pocket depth and functionality. The legs are nice and slim, so were attractive to the female form. It seemed that so many shorts and capris have wide leg openings. I guess I will humbly be a 12 for these wonderful shorts.

This is made of very nice material. The khaki color is more of a dark stone with a slight green tinge. I'm glad I sized up as suggested by reviewers. I always wear a 12 but the 14 fit great. Love the pockets.

These shorts are so comfy - just love them! Nice length, stylish for a casual, more sporty short. Haven't hiked in them yet, but they will be great. They wash well, I air dried them & they were ready to wear again in no time without being wrinkly.

Great fit! 5'7 130 and the 6 seemed tight for about 5 minutes, but then stretched to fit perfectly. Stains easily wash off or come off in washing machine. Will buy in more colors.

These shorts are super cute and fit very well. They are a nice length. I am 5'4" and 110#, always wear a size 6 and the size 6 fit perfectly. I'm going to order them in a couple of other colors.

These are great shorts for every type of activity. They fit to size, dry quickly, and have plenty of pockets. Just what I was looking for.

Love these shorts! I also ordered one size up and the fit is perfect. Agreed with other reviews, - the shorts do stretch over a couple hours, but for me that's no big deal. Love the fabric, color, detail - the whole package. This is my first experience with Kuhl and I will be ordering more of their products! Zappos customer service and delivery was spot on as usual!

Adore these shorts! I am 52 years, 5'5, 140 lbs, slimmer waist with full hips, and these sturdy-but-not-too-stiff shorts are perfect (2 pairs now). I do not like skin-tight fashion, and these provide just that extra bit of movement and stretch that I require -- and even give a scootch more once I have worn them a bit. Bottom pocket is perfect for iPhone. Length hits just above my kneecap. Top front pockets not stupidly shallow.
