These are the perfect shorts for me: not too long and not too short. The fit is also great: not too loose and not too tight. I wore them hiking and loved them.

I have 5 pairs of these shorts. They are perfect for travel/hiking. My phone fits in one pockets, and little wallet in the other. Snap closed and all secure. Perfect length for me (57 years old). Wash and wear easy. The fabric has a bit of give. When fresh from dryer they fit snug, but the "incredible growing fabric" as we call it at home, stretched during the day so by evening they are looser. Get some new colors and I will order more. It am 5'5" and 120 pounds. I buy the 6 because I like then to not be tight on waist, but I can easily wear a 4, especially with the stretch. Just prefer the 6 so looser overall.

Kuhl makes nice quality clothing to start. After trying many shorts this one won out mostly due to the comfort fit - made better by the way they curve the back so that it doesn't slip down and make a plumber's crack when bending and climbing. I had hoped to get some shorts a couple inches longer (to my knee) (I/m 6' tall)but the comfort and fabric quality made a difference. The snaps are tough, a good thing. Cargo pockets good size, flat, not bulky like many - fit a phone well. I did have to go a size up from the others and my normal so order a size larger to try for sure. Happy trails-

Love these! Going to order another color. I travel a lot overseas. These have lots of pockets, and won't get me kicked out of a Catholic basilica (lenth-wise). They are not frumpy at all. Kuhl's "carbon" and "shadow" colors are very similar - love them both. Both colors can be worn with any top. Cute in the behind! I'm only 5;4" 1/2. Inseam was fine for me, but not sure about very tall women with this style. I rolled up the bottoms.

My shorts ever! Very comfortable! Size spot on! I have 3 pairs now! Little pricey, but worth every penny! Plan to get a few more colors, but waiting for a sale. And as always Zappos shipping is the best.

LOVE these! The fit is true and the pockets are wonderful - they look super.

I'm 5'3-1/2, 130-135 lbs. I bought the first pair in size 8. After a hot 4 hour hike, they had stretched enough that I bought the second pair in size six. My weight fluctuates and I wear both pairs all the time. They are definitely worth the price. The material and workmanship are top quality. I will buy more of these and I plan on buying a pair of the splash roll up pants as well.

I have such a hard time with shorts...not these. I loved them so much I scoured the internet looking for more colors. Run small so order up. Usually I am a 4 but the 6 was the ticket.

love these! I now have every color. Live in Florida, so I am always in shorts. These fit nicely - great style. Function, too - lot's of pockets but not bulky.

Great quality. Runs small. If you order your regular size, they will be too tight. Order one size up. Zappos was great at getting me the next size up quickly! Kuhl shorts have a great feel. They are durable and just super good quality material with lots of pockets for Kleenex, lip balm, or whatever you need while out hiking. They are great too for just hanging out on the deck or walking around the neighborhood. Great looking.

I have a size 10 pair of these from a few years ago, they are a good fit when I put them on, but do stretch out and are baggy after a few hours. The new pair is very snug when I put them on and a little snug after a few hours. I love them for hiking and long walks; the pockets let you go without a purse, plenty of room for an iPhone 7, a small wallet and a hair pic.

These shorts are wonderful. Comfortable, durable and very true to size.

Cute shorts, nice material and length. I wear a 10 and 10 fits great.

I love these shorts! I had a pair in the army greeen color in an eight. I wore them all the time, and they did stretch a bit after wearing them for a while. I had to go back and get two more colors. I am now contemplating whether or not I should get more,because they are cute and comfortable. You won't regret these.

Wow! Better than anything I could find at Athleta or Title 9 Sports. Very comfortable as soon as I put them on. Can't wait to go hiking in them. A little pricey at $65 but if I keep them and they hold up as long as I suspect -- then will be totally worth it. I'm 5'9, 135 and the size 6 fit perfectly. I'm usually between a 4/6. The plum is a lovely color.

Does run a little small, but otherwise a nice length, material, and fit. Will be my favorite short for hiking.
