Buyer beware! You wouldn't know it from looking at the shoe from the picture, but the heel is lower than the rest of the shoe. This causes your weight to be transferred to your heels where there is little between you and the road. After wearing these shoes, if you have painful heels, you have been warned.

I am long time lover, user of NB MX608...the MX608v3 is a distant, estranged cousin of the original MX608. The sneaker had an uncomfortable toe mound, and did not breathe or have flexibility of the original. I destroyed my original 608's from the flooding of Sandy. The v3 was a disappointment.

What happened to QC at New Balance? I depend on NB because they have the best fit for me. I bought 2 pair of the version 2 model. The soles split at the heel end in less than 60 days of use. Thought that the new version might be better but my pair has adhesive flashing along almost all of the seams. The 2nd star is for finally getting the length of the laces correct.

I purchased these shoes and wound up returning them. They ran a little narrow, and the soles did not feel even. There was a "lump" under my left foot and acceptable arch support, but the right sole felt flat and had no support.

Other than the fact that the shoes run a little narrow (I had to order 4E, which was a first), I rate them perfect. They have an unusually flat inner sole that will appeal to some people. I find this offers better balance and comfort than classic running or walking shoes. Great shoes.

These are great shoes! I wear them for working out. They are too heavy to be used as running shoes, but they offer great support.

These shoes broke down so fast, I can't believe it. I pronate with my right foot and with these shoes, after just three months, I can no longer wear them. The soles wore out just so unbelievably fast, and I always wear them hiking in rural areas, especially on grassy surfaces. Pass on these.

I've owned at least 10 pair of New Balance shoes but these shoes seems to be tighter in the area where your toes are. Sore feet wearing these.I had no problems in the v2 shoe.The sole seems to slip on wet floor.

I think that NB has improved this shoe style over the last few years, and made it a better product. I am a big man 6'5", 320lbs, with some major foot issues, as well as being hard on my shoes. This shoe seems to be as good as it gets. I wear a 16 EEEE, and an ankle support on my right foot. The shoe handles this very well.On an other note, I am not aware on any shoe company with faster, no hassle service, anywhere. If you have never experienced the service of this company, I encourage you to step up, get what you need, fast, and friendly, at fair prices.

At the time I ordered two pairs of New Balance sneakers in hopes that one would be fine. Since I wear a size 14W its a bit difficult to always find the right fit but these sneakers were great, from the time I put them on they fit like a glove and that was with thick white socks. I wore then around the house first for about two hours and they were just as comfortable two hours later as they were when I first put them on. These sneakers are among the greatest.

These were a gift for my son. He has a hard time finding sneakers that are comfortable and that fit properly. He wears a size 16. He always finds New Balance to be the right sneaker for his needs. I'm happy they make his size. Price was great too. He loves them.

Great shoe. My son has very wide feet and also flat footed. He said they were very comfortable.

These are my husbands favorite sneakers. They may not be the most styling but he likes them. Zappos always has what you want;cannot ask for better service. They are so prompt I can't believe it. Thanks!

Good quality shoe for my wide-width 13 year old son. We got him a pair of these when school started in the fall, and just got a new pair, the same exact model.

My husband will only wear New Balance. He wears a 12.5 4E. He's never had a problem before, but he could barely get his foot in this shoe. This particular model runs extremely narrow.

I've worn New Balance shoes for more than 20 years. These are the worst and most uncomfortable of any I've purchased. They are very heavy and just don't measure up to my past experience with this brand. If I could find well made extra wide shoes of a different brand, I'd switch in a heartbeat.

Have been wearing 608's for 20+ years. These were 1/2 to one size smaller than 608 or 608V2. Poor size or quality control. Have to re-order. Waste of my time & Zappos time.

I purchased the Grey 4E width shoe and was extremely happy with the fit and feel of the shoe. Unfortunately 60 days later the shoe started to fall apart. The right shoe lost one of the fabric loops that the lace goes through, and the left shoe lace pulled through the leather eyelet. I loved the feel of this shoe when I bought it, but the quality of the product was not up to my past experience with New Balance.

They are very comfortable and glad to have them. I am hard to fit and went through 2 others to get to these, wife ordered them for me and I love them. Thanks.

I'm over 60, over weight, and just starting to be a gym regular. These shoes feel really good plus I added a Dr. schools arch insert and now I can run faster and jump higher than ever before! Of course, I couldn't do any of that before but the shoes are helping. Good price, too.

My husband says these are uber comfy (not his words). And he stands on his feet all day, because he's a barber. He said his feet didn't hurt at the end of the day.

Perfect fit. Good value for the money. Bought sandals too from Zappos and very satisfied.

These are heavy, robust shoes. They are not as breathable as some other New Balance runners or cross trainers. They are great on my bike, though.

The shoes I ordered were exactly what my husband wanted. The fit was right, also the price. The delivery was fast.
