I wear these shoes almost 100% of the time that I have shoes on my feet. They last usually 8 - 12 months with constant wear. They feel great, and the all black shoes are a breeze to keep looking new (furniture polish). Great support for this heavy fella. Depth of shoe good for inserts. Buying my 4th pair today.

In 4E this is a very wide, roomy shoe. If you need the forefoot volume this shoe is an excellent choice. Plenty of room for an orthotic after removing the supplied insole. Thank you New Balance for making shoes in 4E (and Zappos for making it so easy to buy them!).

My son says "Dad, you'll find them at Zappos." Ebay and Amazon are just impossible for me. I wish they had rotary dial cell phones! On Zappos I found my wide shoes effortlessly and stress free! I say to you, "you find them at Zappos."

This shoe replaced another style I bought in July. I walked at least five days a week for six hours a day and my feet never tired. In the end I needed to replace the shoes because the soles started tearing away in the back of each shoe. The new shoe is every bit as good as the last.

Second pair of these shoes. Love them. Will continue to buy them if available. I'm on my feet quite a bit and they feel great.

Nothing fancy, but exactly the functionality that I was hoping for. I need to insert orthotics in all my shoes, so the arch support may well be "excellent" for anyone not already dealing with foot issues.

I bought the MX608V2 model, used for both cross training such as strength training, and also general wear around town. Pros: comfort is decent, seems to have fairly good all-around support, slip resistant if you need it (I don't really need it, it's just a bonus for me). Cons: the toe box isn't quite as wide or tall as it could be, especially for a NB shoe. The 623 line typically has a bigger toe box. Laces are unusually long, not sure why. As with just about any NB shoe, the materials tend to outlast their usefulness. By that I mean, the shoe's support will tend to break down internally before obvious wear is apparent externally. I just realized I've had mine over 2 years and just ordered the 623v2 model. Really need that bit of extra room in the toe box, which is why I went back to the 623.

While I'm impressed with the company, it's employees and how they respond with customers, I'm not sure that I'm impressed with the product I got. These were an exact replacement of shoes I already had and I'm thinking I might be sending them back because the back portion of one of the shoes doesn't seem to be holding up. The padding is collapsing into the shoe, which is causing my foot to be pushed forward and my toes are hitting the front of the shoe.

I loved my old 623s, and purchased two pairs each of the last few years. So, I was nervous when I saw that they had been replaced by a Version 2. I tried them, and they were awful. So, I was left to experiment. I ordered the MX608v3s and crossed my fingers. I was forced to order two different colors because of stock availability in my size. Well, the white with black trim fit great, and were a wonderful replacement for my trusty old 623s. But the white ones came with a tongue that went about an inch and a half above the shoe's collar. They felt awful. I returned them and got another pair with the black trim. They fit perfectly. Note: I had read a review that said that this shoe ran a bit narrow. I normally wore 2E 623s. I ordered these in 4E and they fit great. Good Luck.

Pretty decent for the money. A good casual shoe. The insoles could always stand to be made of thicker foam, but that seems to be true of most shoes.

This is a close as I have been able to find to a basketball shoe for my wide feet. Nike basketball shoes and wide feet? Never worked for me.

Great shoe, just like most New Balance that I've had before. If wearing with casual slacks, they easily pass as a dress shoe! You will need insoles, the ones they come with are very poor.

I have had three pairs of 608's: 1 pair each of version 1, version 2, and now Version 3. I have a very wide foot and these shoes fit well, very affordable. And a good shoe for all-around moderate activity. If you play a great deal of tennis, you probably should get an upgraded shoe with more arch support.

New Balance usually fit me very well, but these seem to be running a bit small for size. Other than that, typical New Balance quality construction.

My husband wears a 13 or 14 wide and finds it difficult to find shoes he likes, are comfortable and that aren't too expensive. He's had several pairs of these New Balance which he wears every day (retired) and that work well for him. I love Zappos because I can order more than one size or style with the assurance of an easy return.

Good product for the price. I would buy again at this price since I go through sneakers a lot it's not worth paying 2 times as much.

I bought these to replace a pair of 622's, which are almost identical except for very minor features. I wear a size 9D in every brand of shoes, and the 622's are the most perfect fitting and comfortable shoes I've ever had. I think these 608v3's fit just slightly more firmly. I keep the laces looser than the 622's. But they are still comfortable, and the toe box is still large enough that I can spread my toes. I will continue to buy these shoes as needed because they look good for both office work and days off, and are very comfortable.

This is my husband's work shoe. He is a teacher on his feet all day. Also he is 6'6" tall, and he loves the size 13 4W. We went through many returns to get the size just right, and I'm so glad Zappos has free return shipping for that reason. HOWEVER, I went to buy another pair and the same shoes are $52 on amazon.com. Amazon is the parent company of Zappos, and you can even log in to Zappos with your Amazon account--but they don't take amazon gift cards. So I went and got the shoes for much cheaper, also with free shipping, with my gift card on Amazon.

Just did not feel right on the left side. Also the bottoms walked very stiff light being flat footed.

This shoe seemed both short and rather narrow for its size. I wear wider shoes, and in the past New Balance was recommended to me. However, I was surprised how narrow this shoe was for a 4e.

This Version 3 feels heavier than v2 of which I have worn out four pairs. The padding and upper sides seem much thicker than V2. Also the pull-up loop at the back is too small to slip your finger through.

I have two knee replacements, and I purchased these shoes mainly for cushioning. I walk as much as my new knees allow, and unfortunately these shoes do not provide the cushioning I was looking for. I still lift and ride the stationary bike, and these are serviceable for that, but not much more.

My son needed an all black pair of shoes. These shoes are all black, logos and all. My son had to march about 6 miles in these shoes, he said his feet got tired after about 3 or 4 miles.

I've used and enjoyed New Balance shoes in the past, but their standards seem to have slipped. After several months of using these for light cross-training -- fast walking on a treadmill, stationary biking, occasional short sprints -- they seem to be making my feet hurt, and adding stress and strain to my lower back. I don't think they offer the proper support or cushioning for even the mild workouts I've been doing, and I wouldn't recommend them.
