Way too big and color was misleading, thought it was a lighter slate blue. Nice quality.

The only thing is they do not have a back pocket. This makes them useless for me. If they would add a Bach Zipper pocket I would buy them all. I live on a Island so the shorts must be good in and out of the water. I use the Snake river style but they are a little long and colors are limited.

Size runs small.......built in liner should be left out.

VERY baggy fit. I was hoping to swim with them, not in them.

I've owned these shorts for years! I wore size xl. I lost weight and the xl's were too big and so I went online and ordered a size large and those are too small! What the heck. And they have an elastic waist ans a nice built in belt...you would think they would have gotten their sizing right. I had to return the L and I will buy another brand

Poor fit - too large and belt didn’t allow for adjustment - it was sewn in.

These shorts are nice and would get a higher rating if the belt buckle wasn't such poor quality. The belt does not stay tight, I am looking at buying other buckles on line to make the shorts functional.

I wear columbia almost daily now for 15+ yrs but have noticed quality is waning and sizes (waist, shirt sleeves) vary according to which foreign country makes product. Becoming disappointed and sold my columbia stock. Start making in the US! Bring back the old PFG titanium cargo shorts with multiple pockets (zippered, pull cord, and flap pockets) as those lasted, functioned well, and the sizes were uniform. Just returned another item, this time a mail order. Ordered small, received small. Incredibly large size with elastic waist made for a bear. Probably fits a 40" waist, mine is 30". Don't buy Palmerstons. Eagle Rivers are cheaper now too.

Not roomy in the seat like the 5 prior pair and very little elastic in the waist. This will be my last pair of this model.

Disappointed they left the wallet pocket in the back off.

I've just got these shorts an I've only washed them once an now the stitching on the back side of the shorts are separating. I'm hoping it's just a bad pair cause I really like these shorts. Now I love Columbia Brand just had bad luck with these part of shorts.

They were a good fit, but need a draw sting for an active person

I've been a big fan of Columbia's water shorts for 10+ years, but this version is a bit of a miss. Size ran smaller than expected. No back pocket cuts down the functionality. Little-to-no elastic in the waist, and the belt "clip" adds nothing but frustration. Overall, a well made poor design. (I think they must have snuck this one past "Mom.") I will continue to look for and hopefully find Columbia shorts like my older ones, but no more of these.

Received these shorts with some other items. The waist was HUGE. I wear a size small. The waist on these was like a medium. The belt could not be taken up enough to fit and even if it did the shorts would have looked like bloomers. I am very disappointed with this item. I have numerous Columbia items that I found excellent in quality and fit. Columbia really missed the boat on this one.

I have had similar styled Columbia swim shorts and the fit and function were considerably better.

Disappointed with the quality. I have an older pair from Columbia that is much better. Better material, better tailoring, better to elastic waste, better belt. No back pocket! I will be returning them.

Shorts were very big and when I sent them back everything was out of stock in my size.

Very disappointed in all the shorts purchaesed . Buckle on these keeps coming off during washing.

Order smaller. Have more shorts like these from seasons past that were fine in large. Swimming in these.

I'm very disappointed in the two(2) pair of shorts I recently purchased ; in fact , " I gave them away " . No pockets in the back , material is like thin cardboard & the elastic waist band doesn't stretch very much . The last two(2) pair I bought were the same . I thought this time would be different ... so I gave it a shot . My Bad !!! In the past I bought ALL of my shorts from Columbia & they were fantastic ; enough so , that I strongly recommended them & I know for a fact that several people purchased them on my recommendation . I guess I'll just have to be more aware of that old adage " Let The Buyer Beware " .

I bought a short from your store less than a year ago, i love the fabric and the "thickness" of the short. I could not find anything similar in the store (Kohls) so i tried to order something similar online (same model and look very similar). I received the shorts and first thing is that the fit is a lot bigger than the old shorts (even as they are the same model), the worst thing is that the fabric is A LOT thinner than my old shorts that i love so much. WHY CHANGE something that the public loves and sells well? I paid almost $40 dollars for the shorts and they look beautiful but they are so thin that i don't feel good using them.

THERE IS NO BACK POCKET. TOO FEW POCKETS.

I have several pair of these type shorts from Columbia. I have size Large in all of them and they all fit pretty similar. I ordered my first pair of Palmerston Peak shorts in a Large. I could have wrapped them around me twice. I sent back and got a Medium. I couldn't even squeeze into the medium. There was such a huge variance in the sizes that I don't know how anyone could get a good fit.
