My favorites, comfortable, stylish, and practical. Wish I could wear them year round, but PA is too cold in the winter, maybe I'll move south.Searched lots of stores with no luck, found them on line at Columbia's site, made my day.Love the elastic waist, big pockets, mesh liner, and quick dry.My kind of comfort.

I actually use these shorts for playing tennis. I like the fact that they are lined, and have nice, deep pockets. I find them quite versitile, with a great variety of colors.

these shorts are comfortable and fit well.
When wet they dry fast and clean up easy.

These shorts are great! They are cheap, comfortable, and versatile. I cut the liners out and wear them as general shorts. They dry fast, have a good pocket, are stain resistant and very, very durable. These are the perfect kayak fishing shorts and I can not recall wearing anything else on the river this summer.

They look great, well made. The only complaint is the elastic around the waist is loose.

they are much better wearing than earlier pair of similar shorts. Pocket material provides easier access to items in pockets. Ealier pair keys and other items clung to material and made it difficult to take out of pocket.
I am very happy with this pair and hopefully they will last as long as ealier pairs of nylon and mesh shorts. I LOVE COLUMBIA....
thanks

I ordered these shorts because I spend a lot of time on our sailboat. They are fast drying and the netting is comfortable during alot of activity. The only problem I have with them is that there is no pocket in the back to carry a hankerchief! I do recommend them!

Comfortable. A little big. But so comfortable. And they don't look like water shorts--so I have gotten away with going out wearing them!

These are going to be great for boating/swimming. Just what I needed. Plan to order a couple of more, in fact.

I've purchased several pairs of these shorts (two years ago) and they are of very good quality. The fabric is light, but resistant to tearing and it dries incredibly fast (within 30 minutes after a good dowsing in sunlight or warm atmosphere). They have several very good pockets with which to put valuables while taking part in activities. I would recommend these shorts for boating, fishing, swimming, and other recreational activities. You could even use these for working out. As a matter of fact, I'm ordering a few more of these shorts.

Not a fan of Columbia' solution for a belt on this one + it runs large. Otherwise it is a good pair of shorts.

I have had 4-5 columbia shorts & or water shorts. All have been great. Yes, different in design but the quality is first rate i.e. columbia quality.
A great value. HIghly recommended.

Nice shorts. I bought a medium instead of my usual large due to other reviews. They fit well and are comfortable. A little snug pulling them up. Hate the belt. No place to put the excess after fighting it. Can't tuck it into the small belt hole.

I do like these shorts. They're comfortable to wear in warm weather even when you're not near the water. I bought these to replace an old pair. These new shorts are pretty close to what I had, but I miss the flap on the cargo pocket that helped disguise that these are swim shorts. The waist doesn't expand as much as my old pair. On these new shorts, the stretch falls way short of what the built-in belt will allow. The new fabric doesn't feel quite as heavy as I remember, but it's still looks great and has a good texture to it. I can recommend these shorts.

Good all day in and out of water. Perfect for beach, river, or lake trips. I often wear these all day in the summer when playing in and around the water. They dry quickly and stand up to use. Would give 5 stars if the mesh liner was switched to the newer style.

This is my third pair of this particular style of shorts all in different colors. They fit true to size, are comfortable and while I don't necessarily use them in the water they make a nice style of shorts in the California sunshine.

These shorts are an excellent value. Great for summer hike and warm weather fly fishing. Previous versions of this short had a zippered back pocket, and also an additional Velcro flap front pocket and I really liked that. Otherwise still a well made product.

This material is nice and cool and the shorts fit as sized. My main issue is the "cargo" pocket on the left is undersized and doesn't fit an iPhone max. I would like to see a drained pocket added to the right and both enlarged, keep the pocket zippers for extra security.
I'm in search for the perfect travel, cargo short but have yet to land on it. The mesh liner is perfect! Think about it: much cooler in a hot climate, one less underwear to pack (we travel light with backpacks), allows for a dip in the pool or ocean, doubles as your casual short, has belt for securing, sun protection, etc.
Coulmbia used to offer a short similar to their Silver Ridge that had a mesh liner, pockets with drains, and built in belt (not belt loops). I owned almost every color. Bring back something like that, and I'm all in!

If you are 32 you may want to consider the smaller size. Not 32-34

Nice, quality shorts. I have owned previous versions of these shorts before. My only complaint with the shorts is the design of the belt, which will loosen up as you wear the shorts and you need to tighten. Overall nice shorts.
