Love wearing these as they are so light. I get a lot of compliments on them as well. I have not tested them in the woods or zipped off the legs yet, but the zippers look quality.

I have worn the same 2 pair of pants for over 8 yrs. They are sooo good, it is beyond description but I will try. They dry quickly...zippers have never failed... belt has never failed...they breath great and are easy to convert. Colors look good too. I accidentally ripped mine and think the material may be getting tired, so I bought 2 new pair. My greatest use is riding a motorcycle and wearing them under my protective pants and every where else I go off the bike..I even use them to go into the water. Oh so comfortable in either cold or hot weather and they pack down small. I will be going on a long trip soon and I know this is the perfect pants to take. I use one waist size large which seems to work well.

These are great pants, the material has just enough stretch to keep from splitting them when doing serious climbing. Put them through a grueling boy scout high adventure trip on both myself and my sonand they are holding up perfectly. We are both over 6 foot and 240lbs and hard on gear. Appreciate the great quality!!!

My husband tried several other brands that were more expensive but liked these the best. The color is great and the lighter weight fabric made them more comfortable, I think they will be great for our trip to Alaska.
I'd also recommend:
Kuhl, North Face

These are just about the best pair of outdoor pants I've ever purchased. They are extremely comfortable and have very solid stitching in the all-important places. The only reason I marked function a little lower was that there have been a few instances that I've had a little trouble uncoupling the belt.

I ordered these pants online for my 6ft 8in grandson. He always has trouble finding trousers that fit his slender frame. The pants fit perfectly, no baggy bottom. He will wear them traveling to Central America; they're perfect for city, travel and adventure.

I've worn these in the past for travel and attending sporting events. Easy to pack and easy to go from pant to short and back again.

Ideal for outdoor work. Super light material. Legs detach from pants have tags on the zippers to indicate where each leg goes and one does not have to waste time figuring out. Definitely recommend it.

My 15 year old boy scout LOVES these pants! He said these are the most comfortable pants he owns. We bought them for an upcoming 2 week hike to Philmont, N.M. They zip off so he can use them for short and pants. They are super light weight and have lots of pockets. They have Omni wick and sun protection. I ended up buying another pair for him because he loved them so much. I purchased size 34 34. He is almost 6 ft tall and the length was good and waist as well.

I travel and hike full time with my kids all around the country. We have been to almost every state and every climate. These pants have been amazing! I wore them with just a pair of underalls underneath in Colorado all winter. Then when spring hit they were perfect by themselves. We were in New Mexico and Arizona in summer where the daytime temps were very high. The zippers for the legs are both fast and convenient. My cat also tore a small hole in the leg when i first got them and here we are a year and a half later and the hole is the exact same size!! I love the material of these pants. Very durable and strong but pretty lightweight. I love these pants!

These pants are perfect I wear them all year round. I have several colors if you get them wet they dry in minutes. I have worn them in the cold down to 13 degrees with a pair of silks underneath and been toasty warm. I wear them hiking, canoeing, kayaking and fishing as well as going out at night.

These were purchased in advance of a Gulf Coast fishing trip, where space was limited and every piece of clothing had to do double/triple duty (keeping sun/mosquitos/water off skin). My husband loved the comfort of these pants, and asked for a second and third pair. Easy to purchase with standard sizing, and the zip off legs are great when the breeze is stronger than anticipated.

I use these pants every weekend for fishing in the Florida keys. I deal pant for hot weather and protection from sun. If it gets wet dries emmediately and if you feel like taking a dip in the water you can unzip the leg bottoms and go for it. Excellent pants highly recommend

These pants helped to protect me from the island sun and kept me cool as I worked. I loved being able to unzip and convert to shorts which looked nice enough to wear for causal outings.

Columbia makes the best convertible pants ever, I have owned a Grey one for a while now and is so comfortable that I have overused it. So I recently started looking for more of the same and I bought a beige and a dark blue one. It has the best utilitarian pockets and flexibility, I have even used it while playing golf. Also, this one does not look like a convertible pant but a regular pant
