These pants are great for 3 seasons. I wear them in the spring and fall colder days with thermal under them and cool days just as is. In the summer, these are perfect for hiking on trails that are a little overgrown. I will usually just stow the bottoms in an easily accessible place on my pack and grab them when I come to overgrown sections of the trail. They're also great on overnight hikes when it's warm in the day but a little cooler at night. They are light weight, allow movement, and dry quickly when caught in the rain.

I bought these convertible pants for my brother-in-law who started taking his young family camping! He said they fit perfectly. These are a must have! My husband and I have several pairs and love them so we wanted to share our 'knowledge' of must have camping wear/gear. They are super convenient for those days when the morning is cold, but by the afternoon it gets hot while we camp, hike or back country. Easy to remove and put back on. It's also super light weight if you're trying to keep the weight down in your packs.

My husband wears these from spring through fall continuously. He fishes in them in salt water, does yard work in them, major construction work, and just all around hangs out in them. They are made well and the only time we have to replace them, is when he gets bleach or chemicals on them and he discolors them. Zippers are great, fit true to size. Please never retire these!!!

Finally found a pair of convertible pants that offer a fit that works for my man, and the quality is excellent.

The most comfortable pants I've ever owned. I had to buy one size larger than normal, but; other than that these pants are great. I'm wearing them in a very hot environment and they are more than holding up great and keeping me a little cooler than normal cargo pants. I liked them so much I ordered a couple more pairs. They safe space in your bags as well.

Yup, That's me! These pants are exactly what I was looking for. They're lightweight and very comfy in winter or summer, and living in New England, we experience both! Great for cool mornings as pants and zip-zip, they become shorts when it gets very hot. They dry fast, keep the sun out, yeah, I like them....in fact, I have them on right now and bought them 9/2017. Just ordered another pair!

Used these on a long range fishing trip at sea. They performed great. Held up under multiple days use that included salt water and fish slime. I especially appreciated how quick they dried. I do wish they had a few loops in front near the belt line to attach clips to. I use such loops to hold hand towels, small tools, etc.

I've worn this style of Silver Ridge pants since 2011 from safari in Tanzania to snow / ice festivals in Hokkaido and everywhere in between . Durable, fashionable and lightweight for packing. These pants are rugged for outdoors yet can be dressed up with a sports jacket for fine dining. I'll continue to purchase and enjoy Columbia Silver Ridge pants.

Tried these out spending 4 days in Colorado's Weminuche Wilderness. The pants are light and thin, but still provide decent protection. I would buy them again.

I have been buying pants from other companies to work and hike in for years. I have never thought about Columbia sportswear. My friend talked about how comfortable they are to work in. I am very happy with my purchase. I will be buying more in the coming year. Thanks

I have 2 pairs of the Silver Ridge convertible mens slacks; 2 pairs of the regular style. It's a comfortable fit and they look great. I don't hike but wear them when its too warm for jeans & too cool for running shorts. They are my go-to pants for travel (especially when traveling from Chicago in the colder periods to a warm weather place).

Love the versatility of these pants. Love them for traveling . They can be long pants when you need them and shorts when you need them. The zippered pocket is handy to keep passport or money safe.

These are my go pants for travel. They are comfortable, easy to pack and east to maintain. I bought five pair and loving it!

Went on a 10 day trip to Europe with backpacks only to avoid luggage losses and waiting for bags. I had 2 pair and hubby had 3 pair of convertible, quick dry pants. So easy to convert to shorts on the hot days (as in Rome) and longer pants on the cooler days (as in Amsterdam!). Dry quickly after being caught in rain or washing them out in a sink. Many secure pockets help keep valuables close by and pickpockets away! We love them. They take up very little room in backpack, are light to carry and give you options. Perfect for travel!

Pants are cool and if they get wet dry quickly. Start out on a cool morning with long pants if day gets hot unzip the lower potion. If trecking thru tall grass or wooded area, zip low portion on to keep insects off.

I use these for work and couldn't be happier with my purchase. Having the ability to convert to shorts, and still have functional pockets is great!

These are great pants albeit a little pricey. Very versatile because they convert to shorts. I do a bunch of fishing and bought these especially for that purpose. It's sometimes chilly in the morning and evening but hot during the mid-day so these are great because I can unzip the legs off of them and turn them into shorts. They are very light and don't feel heavy at all. They are supposed to dry quickly but I haven't really tested that yet. I know they're designed for hiking but I love them so much for fishing that I bought 2 pair. I've only wore them a few times so I can't speak of the durability yet. I know sometimes the rear bottom of pants legs can wear out if they are walked on so I make sure not to. Time will tell but so far I love them. I haven't tried the Blood and Guts convertible pants yet to compare these to, but I hope to soon. I do recommend these pants highly.

I really cannot comment on how they fit and feel as they are a Father's Day gift for my husband. I love Columbia clothing and I think he will too!

I have 2 pairs of these pants and really like them. Light weight and very comfortable even in hot, hot weather. I got caught in a downpour recently in Rome and got soaked to the skin. They did not cling when wet and dried out quick without having to hang them up. Probably my favorite pants for any outside occasion. It helps also that the legs zip off for instant shorts.
