I was a bit apprehensive of the size after reading other comments, but I went ahead and ordered my normal cut. Turned out to be a good call. These are exactly what I expected, true to size, perfect length, extremely comfortable, and incredibly fast delivery. I ordered on a Friday afternoon and the package was waiting on my doorstep when I got home from work on Monday. Like other reviewers have suggested, they do run a little longer than the equivalent length in other pants, but that's exactly what I wanted in a pair of hiking/travel pants. Thinking about ordering spare. If your curious about the "Grill" color, its a darkish, charcoal grey. Oh, and I'm just over 5'9", 150lbs, and I ordered a 30/32. I always find it helpful when reviewers indicate the size they ordered so I can judge what the fit might be like.

It's very hard finding zip off pants for my size that aren't baggy. I am 5'5" and weigh 135. These are comfortable, stylish and lightweight with a good number of pockets. And it's convenient they have labels letting you know left and right for zipping the legs back on. I now have two sets of pants. My only complaint is I have to have them shortened to a 29 since their shortest inseam size is 30 inches.

These are great pants. The only con is that they do not have a slight stretch to them to allow as much movement as you would like. Otherwise they look great, feel great and are outstanding for summer wear in the hot and humid as the material is extremely thin. They run very true to size, as well.

I like the material quite a bit; it is very soft and lightweight. One thing to note is that this product runs slightly slimmer in the thigh than Columbia's shorts.

I bought these pants for my husband to wear on a trip to Cambodia & Vietnam. They were perfect for hot humid weather with their wicking feature and the quick zip off pant legs. Our only complaint is that the shorts are a bit short for my husband who is 6'5" tall. It would be nice if a 36" inseam was offered. Still, these light-weight pants traveled nicely and dried quickly...just what we were looking for. The cut and fit is very nice, not too voluminous like some pants we tried on at REI and other sporting goods stores.

As always, Zappos is the first place I look for clothes and shoes. Any problems, solved immediately! As far as the pants from Columbia, fantastic!

Great pants with a dual purpose. Bought these for a trip to Alaska (in Summer). Did not disappoint. Versatility of having pants convertible to shorts came in handy. Very light material was exactly what I was looking for for those "summer" days in Alaska. The only thing I did not care for was the goofy belt that came with them but that was easily corrected.

Hiking pants nowadays is something that is consumed as part of the enjoyment in new places. I found a lightweight pocket with front and back pockets, the option of folding fast, drying fast after washing or after rain (some fun to wet in the middle of the track and dry before entering the car!), Great color suitable for wearing with multiple colors, not fading despite the strong sun, strong belt with bracket Small and functional and of course can be dismantled into a short pants in a simple and easy way.

These pants fit great and keep you cool in the extreme heat

Poor quality. My back pocket threads came undone after a single wear. It's a shame, because I love everything else about these pants.

I had a pair of these I purchased 5 years ago that I wore 3-5 times a WEEK for years and they are still going strong. So I ordered 2 pairs expecting the same results. The new pairs are slightly different (they have a softer waste band) but they do not wear well. I have only worn the new pairs 3-4 times a MONTH for the last year and they both have stitching coming apart on the same rear pocket(I don't keep my wallet in that pocket). Very sad since I loved my original ones (and still wear them often). The photos are from the 2 new pair

These pants did not hold up well at all for hiking. The rear pocket seam gave way the first time they were worn with nothing more than a wallet in them. The fabric while comfortable and lightweight did not hold up well for some light rock scrambling we did on a trail the first time they were worn. I will be contacting customer service about a return.

This item has been perfect for all the activities I want to do. I love the style and converting them for different weather conditions.

Fit is good. Pants I'm always looking for. Affordable and comfortable. A bit of elastic at the waist helps with my slightly increasing waist. Haha

Great fit, easy zippers. Stitching where it should be. Would recommend adding vertical zips to the bottom of the pants to encourage easier removal over shoes/boots.

Very lightweight, easy to change between pants and shorts

Bought these for my husband. They are just what he wanted, plenty of pockets and convertible. They fit him great.

I wore these pants on a 45-50 degree weather hike in Colorado, and they were amazing! No complaints! Very comfortable and lightweight.

The pants hang very well and are not bulky. The stretchy waist line is very comfortable.
