I loved these shoes right out of the box and about 3/4 of the way through my first run in them. They have amazing support and cushion - feel great except for the seam that goes down the back of the heel. It dug into both my heels and gave me horrible blisters. I bought anti blister socks with padded heels, and even that didn't help. Because I had worn them already, I couldn't return them. So like another reviewer, I had to cut a chunk out of the heels of both shoes. They feel great now, but I was really sad to have to butcher them up! Also, I was really happy that I ordered half a size up from my normal size. I'm normally a 6 1/2 but the 7 fit perfect.

Great shoe. It is light and comfy. Only complaint is that i have narrow feet amd heals, so the back rubs a bit. I hope this problem resolves with wear.

Very comfy shoes, however they do run narrow and small. I had to size up one full size from an 8.5 to 9.5. Great in between shoe between traditional and minimalist shoes.

These running shoes are a great transition shoe from the typical, heavily padded heel, running shoes. They run really small, I had to exchange them and go a full size bigger than the shoe size I typically wear. I am switching to running using my heels less and this shoe is perfect for it. I am faster and not tired. I want a pair just to walk around in. They are a tad snug across the top of my foot; other than that, love them.

I got these in order to have a lower profile shoe for both short runs and boxing classes. I really like how they fit - but as noted by other reviewers they are quite narrow. In addition, I normally wear an 8 shoe, but always order a size 8.5 for any running or high activity. In this case, I ordered a 9 based on the reviews and they fit perfectly. There are two small things I'm not crazy about - 1) the tongue is attached to the top of the shoe with small elastic band so it doesn't pull up from the shoe very far. I usually like to air my shoes out by pulling the laces really lose and pulling the tongue up out of the shoe. 2) the top of the heel of the shoe has a small 'rim' and when you put your foot into the shoe, it can easily bend down and it's hard to get the shoe on at that point. This is also related to the tongue not being very movable too.

I'm so glad I read reviews before I got these because going a half size up was completely necessary. Even with the half size up they are on the snug side.
My goal in getting these was to have a minimalist running shoe. I'd say it halfway does its job. While it has a bit more cushion than I'd like, they remain pretty light and nice feeling.

I really like these shoes, especially after I wore them a few times. I was running in Vibrams, but I wanted a little more support for road running. These are great in between shoes for minimalists. The laces do not untie while running, even when single knotted. They were really tight at first, but they stretched quickly. The only complaint I have is that the tread seems to wear out quickly. I have only run about 20 miles in theses so far, and they show a lot of wear on the soles already (especially at the toes).

I am training for a half marathon, so I've been running 16 miles a week. I ordered my first pair of Brooks shoes to see what all the hype was about. I went up half a size b/c the eight was too tight. To my dismay, after running a few miles in them, these shoes gave me blisters. (In three years, my Nike's never gave me blisters). I thought that they fit well prior to running in them. Guess not. Also, the toe box is mesh which can be a little chilly in Chicago. I was disappointed with these shoes. I need new sneakers and doubt I'll order the famous Brooks brand again.

I bought these because I was looking for a shoe to do the Plyometrics day of p90x in - all the jumping was straining my knees and since I do all the other days barefoot, I was able to make a really specific purchase. These were highly rated, so I pulled the trigger. At first I noticed they were virtually impossible to get on without socks and even the thinnest socks made the fit super tight. Like, barely enough lace to tie them up tight. They provide great arch support and my ankles felt strong so I assumed they were fine. Two wears in I tore my rotator cuff and had to sit out for quite a while. A few weeks ago I was wearing black leggings and a black tunic sweatshirt so I threw them on and we went shopping - HUGE mistake. By the time we got home from two hours out (I received many compliments at the outlet mall and Home Depot) I had to walk into the house barefoot. The next day I had an horrible place on the side of my toe where they were pushing my nail into the skin. My feet are very narrow and I could still not manage to wear these any reasonable amount of time. They look awesome but the fit is awful. Zappos being the amazing company they are, I know I could return them and get a size up if I wanted but I'm afraid they would still be narrow.
And as an aside - I went to The Running Company a few weeks ago and bought running shoes to start Couch 2 5K. They have you run and video your feet, analyze your walk, then hand select the right shoe for you. After a careful assessment I was told my feet are very narrow (I knew this), very flat (I had no idea) and that the best match for me would be a Brooks shoe. I didn't even realize until I got home that even though I measure a very large 9.5 on one foot (the one that was injured by my size 10 pureconnect)and a solid perfect 10 on the other, I had been sold a 10.5. When I called to make sure there was no mistake he assured me that Brooks is notorious for abnormal sizing and width, and that you have to know each model and have your feet measured to guarantee a good fit. Food for thought, I guess.

If all you do is run, this is probably a great shoe, but when I go to the fitness center, I might run a couple of laps, do some exercises, power walk a couple of laps, moe exercise and this shoe does not lend itself to that type of exercise. Someone else mentionned it throws your balance off and he ended up exercising barefooted. That is what I did as well. Wanted to love these shoes, but alas they are being returned.

I used this shoe to run 20-30 miles/week and did a 1/2 marathon with it. I only wore them to train, and they were fast and light. That said, these shoes are not well balanced and the soles did not last long. Only about 150 miles of hard running. The shoe felt a little too cheap for serious use, and definitely too low quality for the price. I liked the idea, but next time I need tougher shoes.

I bought these shoes super excited to have Brooks running shoes. It turns out, after six miles both of my knees started hurting. I'm going to stick to my Nike's that I had all summer. My knees don't ache when I wear them.

This shoe looks great and has a lot of cushion for a minimalist shoe. But I agree with the other reviewers who said it's very narrow and digs painfully into the heel, even walking around the house!

These are really great and lightweight, but the uneven soles have been causing me to pronate. Stick to even paths and roads in these.

I ordered this shoe in my regular size and could not even get my foot inside it. I have a wider size foot. :(

Like many of the reviews, these felt great initially but very narrow in the toe box with a little wear. I do triathlons and a variety of fitness events and was so excited to try these, only to be disappointed. Like many fitness addicts, my feet are low on padding, two different sizes and two different widths - when Nike stopped offering IDs in independent sizes, it left me with few choices. I was so hoping these would be the golden ticket, but no luck. I'd say many runners and athletes have wider feet from use, and maybe a smart brand should like Brooks should know that.

I am so disappointed that these shoes aren't going to work for me. I am a walker but prefer a running shoe. These were narrow - just fit without socks and I sized up a half size. I wore them in the house for about 30 minutes, running up and down stairs and just walking around, and the the sides of my feet hurt after that time. They are really good looking and super lightweight, which I really wanted. They just aren't wide enough for my flat feet.

Very comfortable shoe, great support, very light, true to size. However, the soles wear out very fast! I think these will last half the time of other running shoes. I'm a huge Brooks fan & still love the shoe, just wish the soles would last longer!

I was so excited to have a pair of brooks running shoes. Unfortunately, after four miles, I obtained a blister on the side of my feet. Overall, I can't wear them to run. I wish they made them wider. I have normal sized feet. The Tiffany blue is pretty, and they do let air through for the toes because of the mesh.

Nice looking and light, but way too small! I have big feet (Women's size 12), but these were at least one full size too small. They are going back with great disappointment. I expected Brooks to be more consistent with sizing.

First experience with Zappos was so fun! Shoes came the next day for free!? How have I never done this before. The shoe however was way too narrow. I am usually a 10 regular and ordered a 10.5 because of reviews, but it was still too small. The shoe itself looks amazing and I so wanted it to work! Oh well.

These shoes were very comfortable and extremely lightweight, but I felt like they were going to fall apart quickly. I loved the color, and they were very cute, but I had to send them back because if they fell apart more quickly than expected, I'd be SOL for the rest of the winter.

Initially I loved these shoes. But after wearing them for a few weeks my ankle started to bother me. I thought I'd hurt it running, so I took a break. A week later I put the shoes on again and immediately my ankle started to hurt - just walking around the house. So, I gotta think it is the shoe. Bummer.

This sneaker is adorable and so lightweight...except it is super small! I normally wear a 12 in Nike and Asics and a 12 in this fit like a 10. I would advise to go up a full size. Very cute shoe though!
