These are great shoes! I am a marathoner and have little natural padding on my feet. These shoes allow me the barefoot motion with a little padding. Women's color choices are questionable as the blue is ghastly. I am concerned about temperature in summer with darker shoes. We will see...

I usually run in the VIVOBarefoot shoes, so these shoes felt like I had balloons under my feet. I ordered a half size up which I highly recommend. Many people have said that the heel rubs, but I didn't have a problem. I usually have a problem with the heel rubbing too, so I don't know why a lot of people are. Although they are very cushy, they are very light and my feet were very happy when running. I'm used to minimalist shoes, so when I read that these were minimalist I had to try them. I believe they are far from it. I felt like Tigger running. Very bouncy. But after about 500 feet I got used to it. If you're looking for a shoe that has amazing cushion and lightweight, I would go with these. But if you're looking for a minimalist shoe, these are a little too cushioned for that.

I just got these after starting a running program at age 50. I love these shoes. They are super light and very comfortable. I usually wear an 8 and the 8 felt just right. I have an average width foot.

Three words: Best. Shoe. Ever! I love these Brooks! They are so lightweight, and even cuter in person. There is so much cushion in the sole, it's incredible! I wear a size nine and I think they make my feet look smaller than most other tennis shoes do. In one day I got several compliments on them. Another benefit - great arch support. I usually wear custom orthotics to support my collapsing arches, but these shoes do the trick all by themselves. However, the insole is removable is someone wanted to wear different inserts or orthotics in the shoe.

This shoe is amazing...right out of the box it is so comfortable. I have 2 pairs...the second pair came today and I put them on and walked 3 miles in them! No problems whatsoever! I do not wear socks with these shoes...they fit your feet like a glove. There is a lot of cushion and good arch support.

These sneakers are true to size and, as advertised, are super lite. However, they are very narrow and it is difficult to put an average B width foot into them with ease. I wanted them for a trip, but it would have been impossible to put on and take off at the airport. Of the many sneakers I have tried these are the lightest and if you have a narrow foot, they are perfect!

Love this shoe after two 2-mile runs since getting them this week. I'm not a neutral runner. I pronate slightly and have been fitted and run in Brooks Adrenalines for five years. With flat feet, back problems that sidelined me the past two Winters (pt and no running) and many a sprained ankle in my past, I had no interest in barefoot or near barefoot running. I actually bought them to do Nike training club and wanted the described mid foot cushioning for all the jumping, my Nike move fits don't have enough. Reviewers have said these shoes aren't close to barefoot but anyone who runs Brooks might guess that. And you might guess a running shoe sucks for crossing training which is why shoes are activity specific but even I fell victim to forcing a shoe to do something it wasn't designed for. So I took them running. First time, awful. Second time I laced tight to get the shoes really wrapping and supporting my minimal arches and I felt like I was flying. I haven't run like that since since my back went wacky January 2011.

Amazing running shoe! My new favorite. I use them on a treadmill. They really seem to have a bounce to them. I have a high arch, and these have remarkable arch support.

I read the reviews about this shoe being narrow and bought it! I have very narrow feet and it's a perfect fit! The shoe is incredibly lightweight too.

I have had these shoes for just under a week and have put around 20 miles on them so far. They are by far the best running shoe I have ever had. I am a fairly neutral runner but do need some arch support. I have a thin and slightly narrow foot these are the perfect width and height to fit my foot comfortably. The split sole at the toe allows for great control when running. I love how light they are as well. I am overly impressed with these shoes!

Love the Brooks PureConnect! I have a skinny foot and these shoes fit better than any I have previously owned. Very comfortable when running. My one complaint is that the sole is wearing and these will probably not last past 250 miles or so. That said, I will probably buy another pair when these wear out!

I purchased the white/cockatoo/pavement/metallic silver/black color because I loved the frosty aqua color. Well, unfortunately the color is not as pictured and is much more green. Very similar to the NB 890 grey and green. Taking a little bit of patience to get broken in. Coming from a Nike Free 2, the Brooks seemed very narrow in both the heel and toe box. I think they are supposed to be a glove-like fit, so I loosened the laces and that helped a little. Still some rubbing at the left heel. Also, I wear ultra-lightweight socks, so if you're a cushioned sock wearer, definitely size up by at least 1/2. As another reviewer mentioned, while the cushion IS very lightweight, it is also very present, like having a little pillow under the arch. I haven't fully decided how I feel about them as a running shoe, but they are definitely NOT suitable for strength training or cross fit type movements (and according to Brooks customer service they are meant solely as a running shoe). Cause significant overpronation during any movement that requires stability.

The arch support on this shoe is very high. If you have a super high arch then this shoe would be perfect for you. I tried taking out the insole and that helped lower the arch a bit but this is not a seamless shoe and it was a little uncomfortable even with padded socks. I have a narrow foot so the shoe wasn't too constricting in the toe bed, but I can see that would be a problem for some. It's a very light weight shoe and feels great running in other than the arch support sticking up into the bottom of my foot. Too bad I had to return them for that reason.

This shoe is one of the most comfortable I have ever worn. It feels like a cushion of air surrounding my foot. Light weight. If I could give it a higher rating I would, My first pair of Brooks, but not my last.

I am not a runner; I walk, but I always buy running shoes. These are wonderful! They are narrow, like other reviewers have said, but not too narrow for me. I had to go up a half size as well. They are supportive and very light. I am completely satisfied with them and would recommend them.

Love them - is that enough said? I travel weekly and was looking for a light weight shoe that packs compactly. This shoe fit the bill and packed in loads of style. I get comments on them all the time! They are Brooks quality - so they fit perfectly from the first day!

I should start by saying that I have never been disappointed by a Brooks shoe - great comfort and longevity. I was looking for a light weight running shoe that I could use while traveling and this fits the bill perfectly. Easy to pack, very comfortable. I am a 7.5 and always buy an 8 in a running shoe - this was no exception. The 8 fits perfectly. Not sure if I would make this my go to shoe for my daily 3-5 miles while at home in New England (particularly in the winter) but have worn on all my runs for the last two months while traveling and have not been disappointed. The low profile also works great at the gym.

I love my Brooks PureConnect shoes; they are super lightweight and comfortable, even on the back of my foot which has had an Achilles tendon repair. Most shoes really hurt the back of the tendon and blister the thin skin over the scar tissue. Not these. The first day I wore them I walked 8 miles and loved them. The second day, I walked 12 miles in them, and I know I will for sure buy another pair of these from Zappos. I shopped all over for the right shoes and I am glad I tried these first, the size came up a little short. So I had to buy a full size larger because there wasn't an option for a half size. That said, WooHoo for Zappos and the awesome service they provide.

I wear an 11.5N in closed toe shoes and a 12N for fitness shoes. The 12M is a perfect fit for my feet. They certainly run narrow so if you have narrow feet, this is the shoe for you. They are very light and comfortable. The bottom is rather slick in my opinion, but it could be because they are brand new. I am using them for Body Rock workouts and jumping rope and have worn them twice with no issues. The anthracite color combo is pretty and the shoes actually make my feet look smaller. Not sure about running in them yet, since I've always run in Brooks Adrenaline which are super stable and heavy. Great if you need a light, flexible shoe that doesn't weigh you down!

Had to exchange a size 10 for a 10.5, even though I'm usually a 10 in Brooks.
I have 2A (N) narrow feet and these surprising fit my foot very well.
This review is purely about fit as I have not run in these yet.

These are great shoes that hug your feet, conforming to the entire foot like a sock. I love the magenta color; however, I sized up a half and they were still too tight in the toe area for me so I returned them for a full size up, and that pair was fine. They feel great for running, like little pockets of pillows under your feet. I love that they are super lightweight. My feet felt good from the first wear. I have high arches, but they felt terrific.

I've been running/working out in the toe shoes that are unfortunately not sold on Zappos. I used to wear Brooks running shoes, so I decided to try these for zumba and other workouts that require a lot of skill/drill foot movement. I just cannot do it. While these are great if you don't want to go all the way to the real barefoot feel, if you're used to the toe shoes or already used to being truly barefoot when exercising, I doubt these will be minimalist enough. I still gave them five stars because they are the best of the minimalist shoes out there that are not toe shoes.

I ran in these for the first time today and had a great 4-mile run. They fit like a glove, but I did not wear socks. I didn't feel like I needed to! I had been having trouble with my right arch and I felt no pain on the run at all! Also, I did not have any problems with blisters or wearing on my heel.
I'm a true convert.
