I use this hat at work every day. Very light and warm! The fabric is super soft and comfortable too. I would definitely buy again!!

better than expected!

I already have about 5 other smartwool hats and beanies of different weight and colors. I love them all. I have this one in a few colors because a) they are great, and b) because every single time I go out with friends on a hike or something, someone always forgets their hat. I loan them this one because it fits everyone and everyone loves it. I have turned a lot of people onto smartwool just by loaning them this hat!

Needed a hat that works as well for dog walking as for walking into the office. This is it! Soft and comfortable on the inside; warm and well fitting all around.

I have purchased some of these for friends and family in the UK and a couple for myself. I'm on the coast in NE England and the weather can be quite bleak. One of these and a merino neck gator and you can remain fairly comformtable in gale force winds in sub zero temperatures. A must have item for my wardrobe!

Awesome beanie! No, I don't work for them. Yes, I hate to spend the money, but, you can't go wrong with SmartWool products. Breathability, stay warm when wet, lightweight, odor resistant -- all the truth. Buy it.

This is my 2nd NTS mid 250 beanie purchase less than 2 years. The first was was the NTS mid 250 without the cuff. I love the "cuffless" beanie for my pre-workout warm up and long walks across the parking lot every morning at the office. The cuffed beanie is used for long hours still hunting for deer in the mountains of western of Virginia. Both beanies perform flawlessly, wicking away moisture while keep my bald head toasty warm. Both are durable which is a HUGE plus because as an avid outdoors man I demand a lot from gear. By far the best "hat" purchase I've made in years!! I will continue to purchase Smartwool products and highly recommend them to friends.

Thin, warm, comfy...I sometimes forget I even have the hat on. Great for everything: outdoor work, sport, or leisure. My go-to hat without question.

I think this hat is my go to hat, I really like this hat when jogging in the cold winter months and can be layered for ultra cold days when walking / jogging. the hat has currently been subjected to -2F, thickets and abuse while hunting with no failures to date, it has not gotten overly itchy nor is there any sign of fading or wear, the hat looks almost brand new!

I bought a white version of this hat back in 2009 for the AT. After the years of getting tossed around, chewed on by puppies and sewed up, I retired the Ole Gal to the work force attire. Now I had to replace it as a daily wearer, but is it still in production? Well I thought this looked right, and it is. Stoked!

Lost my first one a couple weeks ago, on my second one now. Love this hat, lightweight, warmer than it looks, and it easily fits under a climbing helmet.

I rarely give a 5 star rating but when it's well deserved, I will not deny. It's 5 below zero right now and this hat holds up. It's very light but very warm. The past couple days below zero and I am believer. With the proper coat, gloves and this hat, the cold weather is very manageable. I highly recommend!

I gave this hat to my better half for Christmas and he has worn it everyday since. It is the first hat in his 67 years that he liked. This morning he left it on his chair as we hurried to town for "pre storm" essentials. This wonderful, warm hat then became the comfort for Gill the rescue golden retriever with separation issues. We came home to find a loving big wet hole right in the middle. It smelled like Dad. So I am buying replacements and both my guys can continue to enjoy this wonderful cozy hat!

I love merino wool for a lot of reasons which I won't talk about here. This hat is my favorite ever because the roll cuff adds a lot of versatility. I can roll it up if I just want a simple cap, I can roll it over my ears to keep them warm, but my favorite thing is I can roll it over the top half of my face and take a nap! Brilliant!

I wear the hat all the time but love it for skiing. Fits great under my helmet for alpine skiing and very nice for cross country skiing. Warm and breathable.

Great to wear when walking the dog or hiking.
