Reviews are helpful, don't get me wrong, but I hate when people OVER review things. If you're setting up camp in the Arctic during the peak of winter you might consider something warmer, but for normal cold weather use this is a solid ars beanie!!

I love the material. It is not bulky. Is is very refined and smooth and fits nicely on you head and hair.

Great cold weather wool hat.

I had the same beanie in a now extinct color :) but lost it recently on a snow hike. :( Had it for several years and have become attached to it. So I ordered another. I have a slightly smaller than normal head - it fits great and it warm ! It's good through the winter and for high hikes year round when hiking in higher altitudes in summer where cooler temps and winds are not unusual. I also have a 150 beanie which I wear when this one is just too much. I live in CO where we get winds and I don't like the cold on my head and ears. They both wash well and last! I love 'em. I also like SW other products too. Thanks!

Used it this morning for my run when it was 12 degrees, kept my head warm. Fits well. Definitely recommend on a cold day! The other day when it was about 30 degrees it actually got a bit too warm but it absorbed my sweat well.

Bought this to start running in New England winters. So far it's been awesome. I run hot all the time, and this breathes nicely so I don't find myself pulling it off. Also love the cuff for a little extra flexibility around my ears to roll it up or down.

Bought for my 17 year old son. He loves it, great for MN Weather and very lightweight but warm.

I've had the equilevent of this knit cap for the last 10 years and I have to say it's worth every dollar I spent on it. It is more than enough for about 95% of what I go into. I've worn it in cold rainy weather, windy days, and in the snow, and have found it to be perfect. Often times when it is too cold for it I still use it as a base for another knit cap. After 10 years of use I'm starting to notice some small holes forming in the fabric, but reckon I still have another 10 years left out of it.

It was a gift for my son who travelled to Wyoming this cold autumn season. It was very useful.

This cuff is NOT sewed down. I tried to find this info when buying. This makes it long enough to fit over your ears and you can cuff as much as needed. Very comfortable. This is the hat my husband cannot live without.

This is the hat I wear when I just can't be bothered to make my hair look nice. It's warm without being too hot, and is just about the only hat I can actually stand wearing. My head is pretty big (23.5"), and most hats are too small for me, but this fits great. I like this because it's snug enough to stay on, but not so tight it gives me a headache. It's perfect. I only wish I had bought a brighter color, because it does tend to disappear in the dark corners of my backpack! #SmartwoolLove

I love this beanie, but I hate logos. This hat says it’s reversible but there is a big tag on the inside. I was able to remove the tag without damaging the hat so I’m super happy about that.
