After 5 tries, I finally picked these boots. They are really comfortable. I have very skinny calves and these fit the best of many I've tried. The leather is nice, they are more casual than dressy and I really like them. Thanks to Zappos for making it possible to try lots of boots on to find the right one.

I love these boots! I had to go up a half size in them. They are now very comfortable. (Zappos return policy is awesome and the customer service is so helpful. I got the new pair almost overnight!) This style allows me to dress up or down. The buckle and strappy detail is really attractive. The leather has enough suppleness so there is a comfortable bend at the ankles. The heel is a good height, I don't wear heels that often and they are still comfortable for me. The interior fabric lining is comfortable as well and my legs and feet do not get too hot. I like that the calf area is not overly wide to bulk out but still works well with pants tucked inside.

I'm in love with this boot! fits my calves perfectly and the stacked heels are high enough to be sassy, but still comfortable. I'm sure I'll be wearing these for years!

I purchased a pair of Chinese Laundry "Tremendous" boots and received them last week. I was super bummed when the Chinese Laundry boots arrived and felt/looked extremely cheap. I immediately jumped online to see if I could find another pair of boots. I was hesitant after reading a few of the reviews on the Lassen Jessop's, but trusted my gut instinct and bought these anyway. After receiving the Lassen's, I was BEYOND elated that I purchased these. Straight out of the box, you can smell the quality of the leather and see the detailing that makes for a higher quality boot. I tried them on and PERFECT! Slight heel, moderate arch support, fitting like a glove, and beautiful contrast stitching around the toe of the boot. Sending back the Chinese Laundry boots immediately! Thank you Zappos for amazing customer service & return policy!

Just got my boots. They look great! Nice quality leather. Nice fit and very comfortable. I haven't worn them out yet, and have only tried them in the house since I got them, but they feel really comfortable. I had ordered another pair of boots (different type, different brand) and returned them because the quality was poor as well as the fit. But these are the exact opposite. Glad I got them! I don't have problems with the calf area, but I think my calves are considered small.

Fabulous boots. I got them and even though they come up about 1/2" taller on me than I would like (I'm 5'4"), I couldn't stop trying and re-trying them on...until I said, Forget it! I'm keepin' em! I love 'em! And I really do. Comfy right out of the box. Can wear for a full day of walking with no trouble.

I got these boots about 2 weeks ago, and have been wearing them since. They are good walking boots, my feet don't get tired in them. I've gotten a lot of compliments about them. They are true to size, I wear size 8, my calves are about 14 and 1/2 inches, and I can wear these boots with jeans tucked in no problem.

Bought these in black and I love them! Super comfortable to wear all day.

Warning skinny legged mamas! :) I am so sad that I have to return these boots, they are the most awesome! However, the calf width on these boots is really large! Looks super goofy on me. I am 5'9 and weigh 120. So, just a helpful FYI to anyone who falls into this category. I so wish I could keep them!

Love these boots! They are so comfortable and stylish. I've gotten so many compliments on them. I did order a 1/2 size lower and they fit perfectly. I am so excited to have them.

These boots are so comfortable, perfect heel height/shape, not too high and good quality feel. I am only 5'3" and I worried about the shaft height being too tall for my legs, but these are perfect. I showed them around at the office when they arrived, and everyone had to try them on. I love these boots.

They are fantastic! I often have issues with boots being too small and too big when they are "wide calf." But these were perfect. They will be great with a pair of skinny jeans or leggings without cutting off my circulation!

Really cute boots. Not as comfortable as I expected. I normally wear an 8.5 in both Nike and New Balance and I ordered an 8.5 in these. I'd order a 9 if I thought the calves would be a little bit less snug. I would say these run a little small, but not bad. I only wish the calf was at least 1/2 inch bigger.

The shaft is listed as 16.5", but my 15" calves barely made the zip up. I currently have them on and they seem to get more comfortable with wear. Hoping the shaft stretches a bit because the boots are really nice with a comfortable heel height. I indicated no arch support because I have high arches and feel no support.

I got both these wide calf and the extra wide calf. I purchased a 8.5m and I sometimes go between 8.5 and 9. the extra wide were huge -- 18" circumference, and these are really 15", not 16" as described. I don't think 15" is truly a wide width. I am hoping that they stretch as one of the reviewers noted because I really like the style, they are comfortable and I don't want to go up to a 9 as they will then be too long. Hope they work!

These are really cute boots but certainly not wide calf. I have a 15 inch calf size 7.5 and they are so tight they hurt my calves. I could zip them but very tight. Too bad they have to go back.

Pros: Lovely quality leather. My 7.5 feels true to size. I think the stacked heel will be comfortable for walking. Cons: This is not for wide calves. Beware if your calves are large or well muscled. I don't at all have large valves and the shaft is fairly snug around my skinny jeans. Hopefully with time it will stretch a bit. The color looks "almost black" instead of black. I had to hold them up next to other black shoes to be certain they are black and I'm not color blind. I think it might be the large diameter of the stitching which is a camel color throwing off the "blackness." (Yes I know I'm making up words.)

I bought these boots in black and I really like them a lot! They are very stylish looking and I always get compliments on them when I wear them. They are reasonably comfortable, but have virtually no cushion in the pad of the foot so you can feel the surface you're walking on through the sole. (i.e. Walking on stones isn't too comfy because you can feel every pebble.) Also, one day when I had them on in the rain, water soaked in between the sole and the upper where they are sewn together and my feet were instantly wet. However, to wear them indoors at work all day they are fine and don't kill my feet, so all in all, I recommend them if you're getting them for indoor/work wear. The leather looks very high quality and they are super soft.

These were one of the few choices for my extra wide calves. Even still, they needed to stretch before fitting over skinny jeans. I am a runner and so I have thick calves. The sole cushioning was minimal. I bought cheap drugstore inserts and that made them very comfortable. I can teach in them all day long. Many people have commented on how cute they are. I've worn them all season without any problems once they stretched a bit.

Great looking pair of boots. As another customer mentioned previously, the ankle area creases and does not hold its shape. The leather is soft and supple with ample ankle room versus a firmer leather boot with a tapered ankle, there is extra material to accentuate the creasing. My calves measure 15.5" and the shaft is tight with tucked in jeans. As long as they zip up, I'm comfortable. My ankles are of more average width and do not fill out the ankle area of the boots thus the puckering and creasing. (Imagine an upside down coke bottle.) Others would not mind this I'm sure. I may be a bit picky and self conscious. Regardless, I recommend them for at least a try. Great quality, fair price.

These boots are stylish, comfortable and I love them. They are overpriced in my opinion but the fit is great. My calfs are 15" and these fit with extra room and they match everything. The zipper broke month after purchase but Zappos replaced them the very next day and I returned the defective pair. Zappos customer service is top notch in case you did not know, I am a customer for life just based on the service!

I've been looking for a stylish mid calf boot for a long time. Most say wide calf but these actually are. I am very happy with this boot. I like the heel type and height and the boots are modern and stylish.

These boots are comfortable! I was able to put them on and wear them right out of the box. I wear a 10 1/2- which can sometimes be a difficult fit. I love the look. I agree with other reviewers that the zipper does get caught in the zip lining, but otherwise, I am really pleased with this purchase.
