These boots are fabulous. I have been looking for a pair of boots for some time now. I needed a wide calf and something that wasn't too high. These boots fit the bill. The 7.5 fit a bit better in the foot area but the calves were too tight so I went with the 8. I usually wear a 7.5-8 so these are pretty true to size. I bought these and immediately wore them. They didn't require much breaking in at all. I walked around NYC all weekend just a day after I wore them for the first time. Much more comfortable than I imagined (but greatly appreciated). As mentioned before I needed a wide cafe. My calves are about 15-16" and I can wear skinny jeans underneath these and also boot cut jeans. It takes a bit more effort to zip them up when I wear boot cut but it works. I highly recommend these.

Love these boots! I have weak ankle issues and have a hard time wearing heels. These boots gave me enough support to feel secure and bonus, they're super comfortable.

Love these boots. I ordered a 1/2 size larger and I ordered wide so they would be all day comfy with warm socks. I walked from the Boston harbor to Copley Square in these...and kept on going! They are "all day" boots. The wide calves do not seem to be a generous as listed, but they work fine.

I love them. The shaft was tight at first and hard to zip up but the more I wore them, they stretched out and now they are are just fine. They are comfortable. I wore them all day shopping with no problem. If you plan on tucking in your skinny jeans, account for that extra width when you measure your calf.

Love these boots! The heel is high enough to look great yet still be comfortable. I can easily zip my jeans which are not skinny but regular boot cut into them. Very pleased with these!

I'm really enjoying these boots and they look real nice. No problems with fit or wear so far. I can wear them outside of my jeans or inside. I did put a nice water proofing wax on them and intend on wearing in all kinds of weather, and will update with how they wear later on.

Love this boot! Put it on and wore it the rest of the day. Love that they really are leather and they fit over the world's widest calves. So pleased!

I love these boots, and bought them thinking they would fit my wide calves. I have an 18in calf. I couldn't even zip them half way, so they have to go back. I will try my luck with the extra wide ones of this version, and cross my fingers.

These boots are wonderful. I wear size 11 and have a larger than normal calf size. They fit perfect, and they look great. Heel height is exactly what I was looking for. I can wear them all day without a problem. I highly recommend them.

This boot is classy, sassy and just perfect. The heel height is easy to walk in, and the boot looks very cute and hip. The calf seems a bit wide at first, but it stands up, and lays against your leg really well. A beautiful boot!

These boots are comfortable and stylish. They fit perfectly over tights and skinny jeans. They're comfortable enough to wear all day at work or running errands on the weekend. The buckle provides just enough embellishment without looking to silly or busy. It's try to size. Make sure to measure your calf at its largest point and check the circumference of the boot.

I love these boots. My calf at its largest measures 15.5 inches and these boots fit perfect with a pair of skinny jeans. I believe they will stretch a little and could be fine with a regular pair of jeans in the future.

These are beautiful boots. The only reason I'm returning them is they are too much like another pair I have. Guess I just have too many Zappos boots.

This boot is going to be a staple in my wardrobe this winter. These boots have great style - small, wearable heel; nice camel color that you can wear with most anything; dressy enough for my office but casual enough for everyday wear - all while being comfortable. The first day I wore them, I was able to wear them for the whole day without any discomfort. Definitely worth the price.

I have large calfs and have trouble finding boots. I measure about 16½" at the largest part of my calf. When I got these they were just slightly hard to zip but I was able to get them zipped and they have stretched. I can now wear them with my jeans tucked inside. I love the look and I am very happy. I ordered them in black, too!

These boots are very nice but they are too wide in the calf for me. Ok, so they are called wide calf. Truth in advertising, who knew? I have calves of about average circumference. I think. Anyway, the boots are lovely and seem well made. I ordered my usual size in boots, with which I want to wear a sock, and they fit perfectly. Except in the calves.

Love these boots! While they're not as cushy in the sole as I thought they would be, they are still very comfortable. I am on my feet all day in the classroom, and I'm still comfortable at the end of the day. They are a casual boot but I feel much more polished in these than I did in my Uggs. Some comments mentioned that they were tight in the calf but I didn't find this at all. I can easily fit my finger in between the boot and my leg while wearing jeans.

These were very pretty boots that felt good on my feet and were not too wide for my average calves. I had ordered several different pairs of black boots from Zappos and these definitely had the nicest leather in my opinion. However, I was looking for something with more of a classic look that I could also wear with a skirt or dress at the office and I felt these were a bit too western for my work wardrobe. If I could have afforded two pairs, there is no question I would have kept these.

I love these boots so much that I will write them a poem. Oh my Lassen Jessop boots how I adore thee, I wasn't real sure you would actually be for me, My calves are 16" around. You and I may just never be found, as you were obviously made for walking, and Zappos, the best at order tracking!

These boots are so comfy!!! I love them. They have enough stretch in them to have some give and they stretch a little when worn.
