These shoes run bigger than the women's Giesswein's with a floral design on them. Also, the orthodic inside is harder. I have to return them.

Love these but a little short in the unisex sizing. Mens 10 (43) does not equal Women's 12 Will possibly try next size if available.

These are a little short and a little wide for my foot. I usually wear a 9 and because of the reviews, I ordered a 10. Still too short. Going back. Nice booty-slipper however. Quality good.

The right shoe is tight on the top of my foot and I have gotta return them. I was hoping that they would stretch as I wore them around the house, nope. I will be sitting with my feet up, relaxing at home, and I will have to slip them off because the pressure on top of my foot is unbearable. And I do not have high volume, wide, fat feet. I am 6' 190 pounds athletic build and wear a size 10 shoe. So it is not a matter of my feet being fat. I wonder if the top did no have a bungee elastic around the opening of the shoe if this pressure would be a non-issue.

Sturdy yet comfortable. Like other reviewers, I found them running a bit small but I ordered by European sizing (43) which is what all of my Ecco shoes are, and they fit, even though I usually buy American shoes in a 9 wide. There is no extra room but a slipper doesn't need it. Comfortable when on, but very tight to put on around the heel due to my high arch. Hopefully they'll stretch out a tiny bit to make that easier. I was surprised to find so much arch support in the insole of a slipper, but it works for me.

Immediately I couldn't help but notice my big toes rub against the roof (for lack of a better word) of the shoe. The cause (my hypothesis): It appears the cast of these slippers are almost curved down at the mid-foot and slightly up again at the toe box. Additionally, I really like the aesthetics of this slipper, therefore I hope they work out. (I bought a pair for my wife as well. Fingers crossed and likes them). The insert is part cork. Really great support and impact absorption.

I have not had a pair o these for years. Just as I recall, they are super providers of proper corrective comfort for my tired feet. You see, for three years I had been wearing these cheap Chinese imports that are all these rage right now. They offer no foot comfort or support. My girlfriend told me I was ruining me feet with no support for me arches, heels, or balls of my feet. She was absolutely correct. When I changed to Giesswein Vent, the prior pain I had experienced without these Giesswein Vent had resulted in excruciating leg and foot pain and an expensive trip to my osteopath, who could find nothing wrong with my body. The pain came from cheap Chinese imports lacking in the proper support my feet required. Also, I live in the American South where summer temperatures reach +100 degrees, and yet they are as cool as they can be. Thank you Giesswein Vent for saving my leg and feet so much trouble, pain, and money.

I am looking for comfortable slippers for around the house, not strong arch support for long walks. These supports were extreme and could not be removed. They were painful to stand on. Seems to be brand specific, as I ordered another slipper by this company and found the same uncomfortable insert.

Because most of the reviews for these shoes are more than a year or two old, I wanted to provide an update. Based on the reviews, which all said the shoes ran 1-2 sizes small, I ordered a 9 and a 10 to try. I probably would have ordered the 9 anyway, since my shoe size is an 8½. I got both today, and I am swimming in the 10 (picture a little kid wearing Dad's shoes), and the 9 will not stay on my feet unless I am wearing two pairs of socks. I have about a thumb and a half's length from the toe to the edge of the shoe, which is a bit much. I have ordered the 8, fingers crossed they are not too small! The arch support in these is very nice, although probably a bit much if you have flat feet or have a minimal arch. And so far, my feet are staying warmer than in my old sheepskin pair. I hope this review helps! Order your normal size!

I am an older guy who spends a significant amount of time relaxing around the homestead. I wanted something a bit more today than LL Bean slippers, but equally comfortable. These are almost as comfortable, but the arch support makes them less natural. Still a good product and looks a whole lot better then the LL Bean product, but just not as good as I hoped.

Very comfy -- once I was able to get it on my foot. This will be an ideal slipper for anyone who doesn't have foot issues. Too much twisting of my foot to get the shoe on and off doesn't work for my old feet.

My first thought was, wow, these are expensive. Then I thought, if they hold up for, say, more than two years, they could be worth the price. I'd read that they ran a bit small, so I ordered a size bigger than my Birkenstocks. That didn't work out; however, two sizes bigger than the Birkies was the magic number. These babies feel terrific on my orthopedically-challenged feet. And I love the outdoor soles.

Terrific slipper. Am returning a natural, size 41. Wear a 41 in European sizes but toes just a bit too close to the edge. Hope the 42 isn't too large. Guess the socks will tell the tale.

As everyone has said here, these run much smaller than you'd expect. I wear a size 10 1/2 shoe. The size 12 slipper was still a bit tight. Going to a size 13. So watch that sizing chart. Otherwise these are very comfortable and well made.

They run true to size but for people who need supportive shoes like myself you might find the arch support doesn’t not hit your foot in the typical location making these uncomfortable. In addition the top edge of these shoes that holds the elastic loop is stitched with a single thread. I imagine that stick work will not hold up.

Would have liked if it was a true size 11 rather than feeling a full size smaller.

I ordered this shoe to wear as a house slipper. I was interested in the arch support and the natural materials. The shoe looked beautiful on arrival. I was disappointed that it fet very wobbly however as it is more made like a sock-shoe. The bottom is fairly firm and heavy but the top is loose-fitting fabric, which made it difficult to move around in even though the shoe wrapped around the heel. The other issue was the fit. I wear size 39 Danskos and ordered a size up per the other reviews. The size was right but the arch dug into my foot in the wrong place. Sad to return in. I ordered the Keen Howser slide instead which works much better (note: had to order a size up on that too).

Shoe size is 10.5 - 11.0 so we ordered the size 11 slipper. It was too small, so we ordered the 12. The 12's were too small. Otherwise, I love the idea of Austrian made wool slippers.

I ordered these in size 37, which is what I normally wear. It was nearly impossible to get these slippers ON. The foot opening was very tight with no 'give.' Once on, they felt comfortable although a bit snug. I don't want to have to go through what I did to get them on each time. Alas, I'll send these size 37s back.

I want to add a bit of info about this shoe which I wish had been available before I ordered these. Yes the arch support is excellent with a removable foot bed. The soles are have a lot of grip, which I imagine makes them great for the outdoors and on hard interior floors. But the soles get thicker towards the heel, and are heavy right under the heel. So if you have narrow heel and/or a narrow ankle, this shoe slips in the heel, even in the proper size, even when pulling the adjustable cord as tight as it will go. I wear Finn Comforts as house shoes year round, arguably one of the clunkiest shoes out there, and they have figured out a way to make the sole lightweight, even under the heel. These shoes, which I bought for my elderly mom, WOULD BE A TRIPPING HAZARD FOR HER, especially on carpet.

I wear a US 7. I tried 37 and my toe hit the top of the shoe. I tried the 38 and that was too big. I also wear a lot of shoes with no arch support so this was like walking on a bump to me. I took out the support and tried it without, and that was not quite right either. The footbed is very well made so it would be a shame not to use it, especially given the price. They seem so well made overall and I really wanted them. I wish it worked for me.

these were so close to the ideal slipper that I have been looking for. The arch support is great. Alas the sizing is odd, if there were half sizes i would've kept them but in the 39, my toes hit the front and the toe box has a rigid lining so it didn't feel like it would stretch. And in the 40, it was just too loose so my feet didn't feel supported. I do not have a narrow foot, I haven bunions, and yet these felt too wide in the 40. however, they are super cute, I loved the charcoal. they were nice enough looking to wear outside. So sad to return them but at this price for a slipper it should fit like a dream.

These are very sturdy slippers that offer a great deal of arch support. Unfortunately, they are too wide and my foot slips forward. I wish that they made a non-unisex sized slipper for a women’s size 11. Unless you have thick or wide feet, these are too boxy. Personally, I find them to be rather ugly but would have overlooked that for comfort. I’ll be returning them.
