The bungee on the left shoe was torn almost off, so I don't have much faith in those. These were very wide on me and a little short, but I could not have worn them longer.

The great arch support did not match my foot. Alas. Back they go, but they were so cute!

I wanted so much to be able to keep these slippers. Love the red color, and despite being wool, they were not hot on my feet even in socks. I purchased them because of the positive reviews about arch support. But after wearing them several times in the house to try them out, the arch proved a bit too firm, and not comfortable. Sizing--I usually wear a women's 9-1/2 or 10, and the 42 fit well.

For me it felt more like a shoe and a little snug since I have bunions galore. If you don't have them badly, it's nice. Color very pretty. But they have a clunky feel, not like a real slipper.

Size is same as all my euro size shoes. A little tight getting on, but very comfortable with good Arch support and pull to snug at ankle which keeps it from slipping on heel.

This is a good slipper for someone who needs maximum support for their entire foot, and for whom support is more important than comfort. The insole is extremely supportive, but harder than is optimal for a slipper. I have a long, narrow foot, so the pair I bought fit well in the width, but my big toe touched at the end. I didn't think that would be a problem, since the slipper was made out of wool, which stretches, but I didn't immediately realize that the toe was reinforced on the inside with a very strong piece of cloth that doesn't budge. So the slippers never stretched at all in the toe, and they were always a little uncomfortable. I just replaced them with the Giesswein Lunz, which is perfectly comfortable.

I love this slipper. But the toggles stretched out and broke after a year and a half. For $148 I expected a bit more longevity. They are great slippers, I wear them year round, snow, rain, to the grocery store, walk the dogs, etc. extremely good support & comfortable. They need to step up on the durability of this shoe. Although the soles are very durable

I bought these for bedroom/house slippers 17 months ago and actually thought I'd written a review. At first, they really seemed too small but the uppers are wool so they did indeed stretch to fit well. BUT...a few days ago one of the toggle ropes broke and I can't fish out the end to try to repair it. These are expensive shoes and I've been wearing them a total of a few hours a week because they are really just my house slippers. I was willing to pay more to have some that gave good support, which these did, but I'm very disappointed about this problem.

I liked these when I first opened the box--they are well-made and cute. I'm normally a 6.5 or 7, so based on several reviews I ordered a size 7 (38). They were nearly a full size too large and much heavier than I expected for a slipper. For those of you who like arch supports & structure in a slipper, you'll like these. I believe the pad in the bottom is removable but the slippers are still on the stiff side. I prefer flexible slippers with no support so I'm returning.

The slippers seemed to fit well -- perhaps a tad roomy, but I wouldn't size down. My problem is that my instep is very, very high, and I had to struggle to get my foot into the slipper. Once it was in there, it was fine. But I need/want slippers I can literally slip into -- in the middle of the night, for instance. For those who don't have my problem, these could be the perfect slipper. The arch support is excellent, and they seem very cozy. I've been test driving the Haflinger GZ Classic Grizzly, which are a clog style, and I've decided that those fit the bill for me. (P.S. I have plantar fasciitis.)

Footbed incredibly comfortable, but slipper almost IMPOSSIBLE to put on - opoening for foot too small and tight. Decided against them, even though comfortble with great arch support.

I like these slippers because they have good arch support. My foot slides around in them, though, and my toes end up getting sore from hitting the front/top of the slipper. It’s a sloppy fit for my flat foot that is wide but not bulky.

Love the style and the length feels right. I usually wear a women's size 8 1/2 to 9, and the length of the 9 was perfect. I thought I have average width feet, but I suppose because they are unisex they run a bit wide for me. I keep having to cinch up the ties so they don't feel so sloppy - I would rather not wear socks with them. The arch support felt a little strange at first, as I have rather flat feet, but they are now pretty comfortable. My feet do not get too hot, but keep me warm enough in winter. I wasn't so sure at first, but I do like them now.

These definitely run small - order one size up to be safe. Very comfy with good toe wiggle room but I found the removable insoles hurt my arches - the insoles are very stiff. Replaced them with my Rx arch supports with no problem. Narrow feet will be fine with a thick sock. Sockless, these keep your tootsies warm without overheating.

As other reviewers have noted, these slippers (which could almost serve as casual shoes) run small. You should definitely order one size up. Be aware that the removable orthotic is super hard - I replaced it with my Rx orthotic but a running shoe orthotic should also fit well. The slippers do keep your feet
warm without causing heat build-up. Probably because of the breathable natural wool. Sole is sturdy non-slip. Definitely recommend.

Received these slipper/shoes in record time! Great service, Zappos!
The day after they were delivered, I wore them for several hours. They do feel a little roomier than I would prefer, and I had to wear my thin Darn Tough wool ankle socks to prevent them from rubbing at the top of the slipper where the adjustable string is and from slipping on the foot bed. I could not wear these without socks, and they would have to be wool or silk socks that don't cause perspiration. (Whatever type of socks/shoes/slippers I wear, I apply anti-perspirant every morning to my clean, dry feet.)
The slippers took a little getting used to. I wish they weren't so flat - maybe with just a teensy bit of a heel. Flat shoes make my legs and feet hurt. And although I need excellent arch support in all my shoes for my plantar fasciitis, the supports in these are hard and don't quite fit under my arches, but after a few hours, I got used to them.
My legs hurt after removing them, but not my feet and the hard supports prevented my plantar fasciitis from flaring. Yay!!! Give yourself a day or two to get used to them. I was hesitant to spend this much, but I'm glad I did. I just hope I get years of use - and I hope my husband doesn't find out how much I spent. LOL.

Fabulous slippers. However, for my narrow feet I had to add insoles (wool) and cinch them up using the drawstring. Unfortunately, the drawstring doesn't stay tight, so I'm still working on a solution for that. Still, despite the fact that they do slip a bit on the heels, I love them and am keeping them. I sometimes use them as slides by letting the back fold down as another reviewer suggested. I do wish Geisswein would make slippers for those of us with skinny feet, though.

After a week of wearing these around the house I do, in fact, really like them, but it took a lot of the shoes convincing me of that fact. At first, they were too small (even though I ordered a size bigger than I wear, thanks to all the reviews stating that they were small, the arch support in the orthotic was oddly high and hard. Several times I thought that'd I'd return them, but they looked good, were easy on/off, and that orthotic does look like a good one.
After a few days, they must have stretched a little because the shortness is no longer a problem. I've gotten used to the high arch support, and didn't like using my own orthotic in them actually. I DO wear a sock, short or crew, with them. That not only helps with the hard footbed but also helps with them being Mediums and I really wear a Narrow - still wouldn't mind the heel being a little more harrow, but there is a tightener toggle that helps with that. I do wonder how long that will last actually. I usually wear a 10 (in dress shoes) or 10.5 (in athletics), ordered the 11. I do notice that the insert (that looks like the cork footbed of Birkenstocks by the way) has a 41 (Eur. size 10) on the side, but the manufacturer placed top put on that piece says "42"(Eur. size 11), so that leads me to believe that the manufacturer is well aware of the sizing problem but apparently doesn't want to correct it. Oh well.
So, I would recommend these to folks who are willing to allow some time for breaking them in before passing judgement but there are several issues straight out of the box certainly.

I have neuropathy of the feet and have been in search of shoes that would be comfortable enough to tolerate. I was hopeful but was disappointed that the medium width was too narrow for my feet. I have size 'D' width. Unfortunately, Zappos does not offer a wider size.

The slippers come with a drawstring -- the drawstring loosens on its own, a minor but slightly annoying thing. Otherwise, very nice. I like the arch support.

Wish they fit me better. They are very nice and they have an orthotic insert with excellent arch support, nice quality wool and a nice rubber sole. However though they were long enough, the toes were too shallow (unless I removed the orthotic). Maybe they would have stretched n time but did not want to chance it. I think the next size would have been too long since there are no half sizes.
