These are the BEST slippers I've ever owned! They provide support, are breathable and very comfortable. I wore them all winter everyday and they still look great.

After suffering from excruciating planter fasciitis (BAD like I would at times use a cane because my feet hurt so much) for months and months I started researching slippers. I was so lucky I found these. I spend quite a bit of time home and these Giesswein’s have literally changed my life. I’ve had them for at least 3 years and my foot pain for the most part has disappeared and the slippers are high quality so I expect to have many more years of wear out of them. I also buy very supportive foot wear for outside. Another great shoe is Dansko’s Vibram. I would buy them again without questions.

Good investment! I wear these every day, most of the day and they have excellent support and don’t make my feet sweat. I can wear them with or without socks. Sizing is accurate. I wear a 9 or 9.5 and the 40 fits like a glove.

I really wanted to love these. Was looking for a slipper that offered more arch support than my Uggs. There's an attempt at a footbed with arch support but it landed in the wrong spot on my foot and wasn't enough (I have very high arches). I ended up getting a very similar pair of Stegmann's. Zappos doesn't carry that brand because I think it's not mass produced? Anyway, they were life changing. Feel great, eliminated foot pain, excellent arch support and warm but never too warm or sweaty feet. They are not cheap.

These are so comfortable. Good support, and keep my feet toasty warm without getting sweaty. Exactly what I was looking for.

I've waited 2 months to write this review, just didn't want the negativity...now I'm good here goes...FYI I'm a 75 yr old female, these slippers are the worst item I've ever purchased, absolute waste of my hard earned money. Wore them for about 5 months, these slippers are just about the only footwear I've worn, been in the house mostly; tomorrow I'll be visiting the foot Dr. for removal of PAINFULL CALLUSES on each foot. The constant movement of my feet on the slipper insert caused this painfull mess, I havent had a callus since I was a young woman. Over time we learn what works for us and what dosen't dummy me, I thought I would try an unknown item..are u kidding me, at this price point to furnish pure garbage what a scam! Shame on you, keep these poorly thought out over priced slippers where they came from.

I loved these slippers for the first 4 months or so, but as other reviewers have commented, they eventually stretched so much that they are on the verge of being dangerous to wear. I think I’m going to have to toss them, after only 6 months. A big bummer after paying a premium for what I thought was a high quality slipper.

Very nice slippers. I am a women's 10.5. The 42 was too small. These slippers have a lot of transverse arch support, meaning they have support in the center of the foot, below the ball of the foot and between the outer and inner arches. Unfortunately, they just weren't meant for me, but I can see why people love them.

I live in these at home. They have excellent support and don’t make my feet sweat.

I love these slippers. Very comfortable and easy to slip in and out of. I just wish they were not is such short supply! I need more!

These clogs are very nice. The oatmeal color is beautiful. The wool is lovely and soft. My problem is that I have very low arches and there is no velcro adjustment to tighten the fit so that they stay on my feet.

I love wool slippers and have a pair of Emu with shearling lining, but they are too warm for year round. I wanted a a lighter pair of wool slippers that offered foot support overall, good arch support and would stay on my feet. I purchased a pair each of the Giesswein Spital and Veitsch. Neither of the styles met 100% of requirements. I normally wear a size 9.5 and ordered a 9 (European size 40) as they recommend to size down for half-sizes. The length was fine in the Veitsch, but slightly shorter in the Spital, but I could tell the wool would stretch out overtime in the Spital. I’m not sure if that is a pro or con. Both have removable insoles. The insole in Veitch is thinner with a thin suede leather covering a flexible soft plastic/foam-like framework insole. Veitsch were a little loose on my feet, but after wearing them an hour, they felt fine. The arch support is good, but not as pronounced as the Spital, but the thicker outdoor sole on Veitsch makes the shoe align better and the arch feesl just as supportive. My feet slid a little to the side in Spital, but did not in the Veitsch. I decided to keep the Veitsch because they feel sturdier and more substantial on my feet. If they get too loose, I can wear socks or insert an additional thin insole under the insole that came with it - which I tried and it fits fine. The insole in the Spital is wool covered and much higher. The arch in the Spital is good, much better than average slippers, but the upper portion the slipper does not offer much support - they remind me of the wool slipper socks, but with good arch support. The Spital has a sprayed on rubber sole which is thin and doesn’t add anything to overall support. In the past I've purchased Haflinger slippers. They quickly stretch out and become loose, and can be difficult to keep on, but they kept my feet warm.This is my first pair of Giesswein. I am anxious to see how they hold up and am happy they have so many styles to choose from.

I LOVE these slippers. They don't look too clunky for clogs. My feet and back feel better wearing these at home all day rather than going barefoot. I also like having some traction on our hardwood floors/steps. I can wear them year-round (although they do get a little warm in the dead of summer) unlike my previous shearling-lined slippers. Depending on the brand, I am a 38 or 39 and had to get a 39 for these.

I tried on so many slippers looking for something that was comfortable, supportive, and easy to get on and off. These were by far the best of the best. They have a cork footbed that molds to the shape of your foot and makes them exceptionally comfortable. It took about a week to get them broken in so they fit perfectly. During that brief time, my socks would get a bit bunched up under my foot when I first put the slipper on and that would work it self out after a few steps. That doesn't happen anymore, now they slid on smoothly without shifting my socks. I spent most of the summer looking forward to wearing them (it's too hot where I live to wear them in the summer). I'm so glad that cold weather is back and I can wear these slippers all the time again. Thank you Giesswein!

Been wearing these every day for a year and a half now, couldn't live without them. The very best. Move materials and easy to clean too.

I absolutely love these slippers! They are warm and cozy! The arch support is great for flat feet!

This is THE best slipper I have ever found. It has amazing arch support and really conforms to your foot. Not to mention, you can machine wash them and they really last a long time, despite me wearing them all day long on most days. Only wish they had more colors and could be a little more stylish.

Happy Heaven on my feet! I never want to take them off, seriously! I generally wear a women's size US 8.5 so I purchased the size 9 US/EU 40 and they're perfect barefoot or with a not too thick sock. Even the heels fit fine which I was a bit concerned about - since these slippers have a heel "lip", I don't need or want the heels to fit closely and yet, even though they're a 1/2 size up from my normal shoe size, they don't flop on my feet. I bought them in the "anthrasite" color - a darkish mottled grey and the color is great, too. I do a lot of cooking and have already had a few minor kitchen liquid splashes and just wiped them clean with no discernable color changes. I can't say enough positive things about them. I've been searching for washable slippers with arch support and I'm just in heaven! They are worth every penny. Very well made. I'm now going to buy a pair for my husband! (We have all tile floors in our home so the combo of support and warmth that breathes is marvelous!)

Heather outer not so attractive but extremely comfortable and great support

I had high hopes that these slippers had good arch support but it was not sufficient. The length was also short. Liked the style but did not meet my needs otherwise.

I have owned a pair of these for years and they are getting beat up and the footbed has flattened, so I decided to order another pair. I ordered the exact same size, and these were MUICH smaller and narrower. I could not get my foot into them, and I sent them right back. Something has changed in the sizing of this shoe.

Loved them the first time I put them on. Nice solid arch support, not squishy but feels like they will keep their shape and support.

These are ridiculously SMALL! I have an old pair of the same size and width and name, with the same insoles. Something has drastically changed! These are at least one size too small and one size too narrow. Could not get my foot in. Sending right back.

Normally I love this brand but the left side squeaks, so back it goes.

Great slippers...ourfamily owns three pairs...Comfortable and supportive. mlatest pair was for my husband who has plantar fascists. He wears a size 11 shoe. The 44 fit him well...but if you wear an 11 1/2 you might consider a size up.
