First let me say I've been looking for a cute bootie for a while and landed on Petty because of the other reviews and style! You can find a million outfit ideas and images online for this shoe and it seemed like the style I was looking for. I initially ordered it in a 9 but exchanged for a 9.5 which was much better for me since I don't have very narrow feet I needed the extra width. I do tend to bounce between a 9-9.5 in most shoes so if you aren't sure I would suggest sizing up especially if you have a more medium width foot! Having said all that I am also a curvy girl and while I love the style I'm still trying to figure out if they're right for me. Most images online are of tall and very slender girls so I think it doesn't make they're legs look so short and stumpy which I'm struggling with. However it is also summer so I'm planning to try them on with some skinnes and other jeans to decide for sure! Overall seems like a very high quality shoe, comfortable enough and low heel for what I would expect to be an everyday shoe! I hope I grow to love them because I adore them but personal style and what flatters us isn't always the same for everyone!

These are very nice plain booties. I wear a true size 9 and the size 9 was perfect. They are relatively comfortable as far as width and length (I do have a narrowish bony foot but not to the point that I would ever buy narrow shoes). The heel height is very nice if you don't like wearing heels and still look like you are. The insole is a little cushy, more than I expected, but no arch support. I don't know why they would feel like after walking in them all day. I think the toe box is very attractive, a little pointy with a rounded tip and they did not squish my toes. I tried them on with and without socks. With socks they would need to stretch just a little bit but were not uncomfortable at all. They seem to grip the floor well but are a little slippery on carpet. I am returning them. Right now I am looking for something a little more fun with some character and these are very plain. I would buy them again in the future when looking for something like this but for now, they are going back. I still give them high star rating for what they are.

I like these boots. I wear nothing but boots and sneakers for most of the year and I was looking for a boot to transition to spring. I like the look, but find them a little uncomfortable in the toe - too slim I think. Regardless, I kept them and can leave with them.

These are ADORABLE booties. I have them in putty, which is a perfect taupe, very versatile. They are a great height-- I don't like the look of shooties but I find that most ankle boots hit too far above the ankle, and cut off the leg in an unflattering way. The heel is low enough that you don't really notice it (I hate heels). My only complaint is that they are a smidge tight across the front of the foot. They are great for days when I'm mostly sitting or only standing for short periods; if I end up doing too much walking/standing in them, then they get pretty uncomfortable. They look cute with jeans, cropped pants, and skirts, they elevate any outfit. I love them so much that I might try another pair in 1/2 size up and do an insole, to see if that helps the width issues.

True to size, comfortable the first time I wore them, perfect with dressy pants. The only problem is a slick bottom - be careful walking on snow and ice with these booties.

I really like fit the and look of these booties. The light putty color is a bit too light to wear with dark jeans, but otherwise great. I have a fairly narrow foot and these fit great and don't slip around when walking. They look sharp and I've received compliments on them.

I needed a work shoe that looked professional and that I'd be able to walk a few miles in without experiencing the painful aftermath of wearing heels for a day. After doing quite a bit of research, I found these shoes on Zappos and thought I'd give them a try based on the other reviews. I really love how these shoes look on me: they make my feet look narrow and sleek. They've got some inner sole support, which is good since I have some arch issues. They're nice and snug, and though it feels slightly loose in the heel, it hugs the sides of my feet and still feels secure. They're also versatile enough to wear when going on, as long as you have the right attire to match. Overall, a great product. I would prefer more cushioning in the foot bed, but most people don't have the same foot issues as I do.

Maybe I am the pickiest girl in the world, but sometimes style is all about the details. This is the second pair of Sam Edelman boots I have returned because of the ugly, cheap-looking zippers! They are a weird super shiny dark gunmetal color. They look cheap and kind of 90's. Definitely don't look cute.

Bought these for work (I work in a hospital and am on my feet all day). It took a few wears to wear them in, but if you have narrow feet you may not have to wear them in at all. They're functional but still cute. The downside is that the soles can be slippery if there is any wetness outside (not much traction).

These are really great, very versatile shoes and are quite comfortable for a low heeled boot. Great for work on winter days or with jeans. The only problem is that one of the zippers broke after only a month. Maybe I just had bad luck but a bit disappointing.

Got these as a gift. They are awesome. Comfortable, well made. Looking for another pair in a dark brown. Classic style, should be able to wear for quite a while.

Very cute. Lots of compliments. Not quite narrow enough for my very narrow 3 AAA foot, but I can deal. Broke in easily. 2 days. Now pretty comfy. Overall I love them. And what I don't love is not the boots' fault. Would buy again.

These are great booties! The look is simple and classic and will be in style for years to come. They are super comfortable and I wear them will a recently purchased thin cushion to support the soles. They are perfect for my need to dress up casual jeans.

I was looking for a short boot that was simple without a high heel and these fit the bill. A bit more expensive than what I normally would pay but they are made really well with nice soft leather. I will keep these for a long time!

A beautiful shoe. Just the right heel height and the boot ends at the right height too at the ankle -- looks great with tights or with skinny jeans. Can be a bit stiff at first but softens with wear. Footbed also not super comfy but an insole easily fixes that!

I have had the putty colored ones for awhile, and love the color. I wear a size 8, and with thin socks, the fit was fine. I live on the North coast of California, so I wear heavier socks during the wet weather. I ordered the black suede in an ½. They fit quite well. I am pleased with the color. I admit, I was hesitant about not having black heels. However, I have no problem with it. If it matter I have a neuropathy problem, so finding shoes or boots can be a chore. The toe is a bit tight, but relaxes with wear.

The style of these shoes is great; looks great tucked with tucked-in or folded skinny jeans and with blazers and sweaters. The only warning I would offer is that the Putty Suede color doesn't really look like the photos -- it's not a brown or camel color. The actual color is really light and more grey. I was hoping to be able to wear these in fall and winter but the color is really more spring-like.

I bought these in putty suede, size 8. I absolutely love the color. They are a bit narrow in the toe. With my peripheral neuropathy I have a difficult time finding comfortable shoes/boots. I wear them with thin socks. I have recently ordered them in black suede half a size larger to accommodate thicker socks. Living in Northern California on the coast the weather is sketchy.

These are darling boots! They seem to run a good half size large, however, so be warned. The casual style is darling,and I love that the suede matches the heel and soles. Speaking of soles, they have a smooth finish, soI expect they might not have any traction on ice. That is something that we get a bit of here in Colorado. Sadly, these will not work for me, but they are great looking, comfortable and have a great, simple style.

Boots are beautiful but a couple of shades lighter than pictured. I usually wear or 6.5 or 7. I ordered the 6.5 and they were tight. I have a bunion on my right foot; there is no way I could wear the boot on that foot so I must return them. If you are undecided on sizing I would recommend going a 1/2 size up; you can always wear a sock to take up extra room if necessary. I think they would be comfortable if not for my bunion.

Pretty boot but the shaft is too narrow. I wear a wide shoe size and it is a shame that they do not make the shaft wider in the shoes/boots in these sizes.

Nice, stylish shoe. It goes well with a lot of different outfits. My one issue is that they're not the most comfortable shoe. I thought my pinkie toe was going to fall off in the beginning. They're much better now, but I think I'll need to get the heel replaced in a few months.

Wore them for first time today--the suede looks as though it would be soft and comfortable, however it is somewhat stiff and uncomfortable. The actual shoe is also a wee bit narrow, and while I do have a narrow foot, this shoe is also narrower around the ankle...maybe a combination of stiff suede and narrow top is what is bothering me. Also a bit narrow in toebed and hopefully it will stretch.

Beautiful boots -- but just too narrow. I wear a C width but can wear medium-width shoes if the toe-box is a bit rounded. These are a beautiful, rich teal with a perfect heel height, but they feel both shorter and narrower than a 9.5M. Suggest going up at least half a size -- and avoiding altogether if you have a wider foot. Sad to return but that's how it goes.

I had to see what this bootie was all about. I ordered the putty (which looked more like a taupe grey), the smokey praline, cashew, and black leather. All returned. This boot did not look right on me for some reason. I was not crazy about the whitewashed paint look on the praline and cashew. The putty suede was pretty, but I didn't like the color of the wood heel (too red). The quality of the suede and leather is great, but the shoe was just lacking something for me. Fit was true to size.
