I really like these shoes and bought them in 2 colors. It does not have much arch support so if you are looking for that, these are not the shoes. I bought them mainly because of the strap around the ankle. I have nerve damage and it causes me to have weak ankles, and these shoes do the trick as far as support in the area.

Agree with Top Positive Reveiw. Gentle Souls are top quality. I don't mind the price. I wore them all over Venice, Italy without problems & fit right in.

Incredibly comfortable shoe right out of the box. I did not experience any discomfort related to the zipper as has been reported by others. Maybe it depends on the shape of your heel? At this price point these shoes are an investment for sure, but they are a good buy for someone who is on their feet a lot.

Bay Unique's are my favorite summer travel shoe and they are as perfect for urban adventures through cobbled streets and up the narrow hillside villages of romantic Europe as they are strolling through Mississippi River towns. With rubber soles that grip the road and assures no slipping, soft elastic ankle straps that never feel binding and don't chafe, a wonderfully cushioned footbed and a wide enough vamp that provides toes enough room to flex and swell after a hot day of sightseeing the single drawback is that they are not available in more colors! Navy! Red! Tan! And they look feminine and great with a skirt or with pants. I love these shoes so much that I bought another pair to keep in the box for next summer. You know the feeling - that panic that the style you love will be discontinued. Expensive but worth every cent.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these shoes. I have a neuroma and need shoes w a wider toe box. Finally some shoes that are feminine, pretty AND COMFORTABLE.

Best shoes ever! They have a great support, and natural leather inside makes it comfy and breathable. Shoe design is amazing: easy to wear with a dress, pair of jeans, or a skirt. Good quality pair of shoes, and I highly recommend this purchase! Couldn't be any happier.

So cute and comfortable. Unfortunately my ankles swell to much by the end of the day to wear elastic ankle straps that are a bit too tight!

Really comfy flats and the straps across the ankle add a nice flair to the look. These look great with shorts or skirts. Comfort is really top notch. Worth the price.

I have been going back and forth as to whether or not to spend the amount of money on the Bay Uniques and I have to say I am so pleased and very happy! I have such difficult feet, after years of working in the ER, surgeries, a small bunion which is so painful, neuropathy etc and wanting a sharp looking, well made shoe that was attractive and feminine but also had the support and room to accommodate this painful bunion, I have found them! Believe me there was much purchase and disappointed returns and Zappos has always been awesome, with one day shipping and free returns! Like I said Happy! Happy!

I walk around a lot at work (including up and down stairs), and these shoes are perfect! These are easy to put on, and and I get lots of compliments when wearing them. As a result, I wear them almost every day and bought a second pair so I can alternate between them. My only complaint is that they only come in black leather (not suede, despite the description) -- I'd love to have them in other colors and finishes.

I love these shoes. I wear the style with skirts or ankle length pants and they always look good. The ankle straps and the gentle arch support make them a favorite for being on your feet a good part of the day. This is my second pair. Would recommend them. True to size.

These fit beautifully! I have slightly wide feet and these were lovely, not pinching at toe area and cushioned sole is heaven! All natural materials - gorgeous feel!

Yes pricey...but they are the most comfortable flats I have ever owned. ran a tad bit for me so I had to return for next size down. I love, love these shoes. Have worn them with skirts, capris and have them on with skinny jeans today. Get compliments every time I wear them. I love ballet flats but they never stay on my feet.

Keepers! Enough room in the toe box for my wide foot...aaahhhh. They even help my not-so-cute wide foot actually look cute! it is a rare event when I find a shoe that is both Comfortable And Cute. Expensive, but definitively worth it.

I was looking for a stylish, versatile and comfortable shoe for an upcoming trip to Italy where I will be doing a lot of walking. I am happy to say that this shoe fits the bill. I have an average width foot and the shoe seems slightly wider than normal, but still fits well. My heels are narrow, but there is no slippage in the back. The shoe looks cute with skirts, long dresses, skinny jeans, and slacks, so I am very happy with this purchase.

I loved these shoes. I bought these in black suede and wish you still carried the black suede as they are adorable and very stylish. I have a wide foot and it is very hard to find stylish and attractive shoes for a wider foot. Kenneth Cole is amazing.

Many reviews mentioned sizing up, but this didn't work for me. I ordered this shoe in both a 7 and a 7.5, and the 7.5 was too large. The pair that I kept was also a different color, but if I end up loving these shoes, I might order the black in a 7. My initial impression is that these shoes are wonderfully padded. I've had other Gentle Souls shoes, and I really love the way the elastic bands secure the shoes to your feet.

I absolutely love these shoes and now this brand! These are as stunning as they are comfortable. I also bought them on sale: bonus! I was in love with the Chloe ballet flats but I would not pay so much for a pair of shoes and these look practically identical. I also am not a fan of the color pink but the metallic peachish color is beautiful. I could not be happier with these. They are truly a work of art and my new favorite shoes! Thanks, Zappos!

Excellent shoe, It was really comfortable, I had to return it only because I needed a size 9 (which is normal for me). I didn't have any problems with zipper, the inside of the shoe is cushy. It is expensive, but I do recommend it. I had to order it off of amazon because it was the only place that had a 9 left. It's a popular shoe; if they have your size and you want this shoe, get it now.

These are beautiful, functional, and very comfortable flats. I have weird feet, and these accommodate my feet nicely. The leather is top quality, the zipper in the back is fine, doesn't rub my heel, the cushioning is perfect, and the ankle strap stays in place without a problem. These are expensive shoes, but they are worth the price. I am debating buying another color, but I'm hoping for a sale!

I bought this style in the pewter color in the spring. I walked all over Cambridge, MA; NY, NY; Brooklyn, NY; SF, CA; and LA, CA looking stylish, and feeling VERY comfortable. I got compliments everywhere I went, wearing them with capris, jeans, and dresses. I have wide & flat feet, I can only wear a few different brands and usually only open toe (Anyi Lu, Stuart Weitzman, Cole Haan Air, Elie Tahari, UGG). This is my first but definitely not last experience with Gentle Souls brand!

I am in LOVE with these shoes! I have been looking for black flats for 2 years that weren't plain but were comfortable and versatile. These shoes fit the bill. I do not feel the zipper in the back. My feet feel supported but the strap is not too tight, and the footbed is soft. My foot is on the wider side of M, and these shoes don't crowd my toes. I got them yesterday and have received many compliments already.

I love, love, LOVE these shoes. I have a number of foot problems and these shoes feel good after a long day on my feet. I like the stretchy straps that keep my foot in place and the padding is absolutely wonderful. They don't look like they should be the most comfortable shoe ever, but they are.
