Just bought my third pair of SpeedCross, 7th pair of Salomon overall. These are the best I've had by far. I run about 20-30 miles a week half on trail and half on road and these handle all of it perfectly. These are much more stable than the first Speedcross model. I also use these as my hiking shoes for everything from muddy riverbeds to 10,000ft+ summit day hikes when the snow is gone. I have a 10 mile after work trail run scheduled tomorrow and I know these will be a perfect fit right out of the box like always. Solomon is the only brand for trail shoes as far as I'm concerned.

Very well fitting shoes! Very comfortable. Incredible for running on all types of terrain. Not so good on wet floors of wood or tile. But all in all, great buy!

The Speedcross 3 was exactly as noted. I really like the comfort as well as the aggressive (relatively) sole. I purchased for my hobby -- practical shooting -- and they work great for the different soil conditions from match to match...

Greatest pair of shoes ever. I am spreading the word. Ran tough muddier in Chicago in these and they allowed me to stay upright and fast.

I bought these shoes specifically for the Tough Mudder event after reading several blogs that recommended them. Well, I just completed the Ohio 2013 event, and it was hailed as the muddiest Mudder ever and these shoes were incredible! I saw my teammates struggle on the hills and lose shoes in the foot-deep mud, and I never had one issue. The shoes gave me superb traction and were always secure. I was amazed at how dry they kept my feet as well. Every time I took a step I could see water seeping from the top fabric, keeping my feet. I explored a lot of different shoes for this event, but none really met all of my criteria except for this shoe. A little on the pricey side, but worth every penny once I stepped foot on the course. Rinsed right off afterwards, so they are as good as new. I usually run a true 10, but a 10 in this was a little loose, so I went to a 9.5 and they felt good. Highly, highly, highly recommend this for any mud/trail run. I look forward to my next one!

These are obviously cross-training (trail oriented) shoes, but I've used them for walking around the block, biking, and also casual wear and they are very comfortable. They fit true to size and are relatively light for a shoe with such an aggressive sole/tread. I'm probably going to buy a 2nd pair (in a different color), as they've proven to be so versatile. Also, I have a pair of the blue now and they're not as bright as the picture shows, which is a good thing.

I went on a 5 mile run as soon as I opened the box and put them on. They were very comfortable and needed no breaking in. I love the quick laces. I would order a half size smaller next time.

Excellent off-road traction sole, really comfortable and cushioned interior. Perfect for off-road training, running and practical shooting!

Great shoes. I am a competitive shooter and I use these in USPSA and in IDPA (yes they are legal). They preform very well. The felt very tight when I first put them on but they break in nicely and I think they run pretty true to size. I was wearing Inov-8's and these are much more comfortable. Besides, all the cool kids are wearing these...

Very comfortable. Wore them all day at a sporting event right out of the box and my feet felt great. Sole design gives great traction on rough and uneven surfaces (high desert) Saw another person at the event with the same shoes on.

I run the Mt. Wilson trail in So Cal (single track approx 12% incline) and have put about 600 miles on these shoes. They are the best shoes ever.

Nice shoe! Salomon hooked me with the soft shell walkers from a few years back. They don't make them any longer. This is the shoe that I purchased in their place. The fit is a tad on the small size. Regardless, I'd would recommend these shoes.

Very durable, comfortable and exceeded my expectations on every trail and weather. Super aggressive grip allows me to climb, run, walk, dip them in water, mud, clay. Awesome shoes. Best ones I had for my trail and outdoor adventures.

I got these for my husband for Valentines Day so that he could, run the the snow on the trails and on snowy roads. I have a pair and he was jealous! He loves them. They run true to size and provide great traction. They aer light weight and comfortable. I will buy these again.

I have been looking for a pair of trail running shoes. Climbing up hills and especially going down, I needed a bit more traction that just regular running shoes. These were comfortable from the minute I put them on. Shoe should fit like a glove and were true to size.

I compete in spartan obstacle races, and have a few different pair of trail shoes. These are my favorite to date!

No more strap on ice cleats for me! These shoes are awesome! They grip great on ice, mud and I even ran with them on pavement just to test their stability. I have a bunion on my left foot and these help out great because of the soft sides.

I got this shoe to wear as my casual everyday shoe in the winter months. I like the product so much I purchased a more colorful version the next season. This shoe is crazy comfortable, light, and stylish. Everywhere I go people ask me about it. I look forward to my next pair in the coming months.

I'm very happy with these as a trail running / fast hiking shoe. Wore mine up the Manitou Incline directly out of the box. I was very impressed with the lugs on the bottom which offered excellent traction on a wide assortment of surfaces including loose soil, hard pack, and frozen ground. The reverse directional lugs in the heel were particularly useful during the descent on the Barr Trail. My companions were slipping and sliding a bit, but I felt very sure footed. Great shoes. Bought the green colorway because it was less money, and it has grown on me.

The best shoe I have ever owned! Not only do I like the fit and comfort, I really like the look! I like the simple look with the "Moto" style...it works well with my race team apparel.

These are a great trail shoe, especially for long distance and slick terrain. I wore them for laps 3 and 4 of World's Toughest Mudder and couldn't have been happier. As an extra bonus, they also look very nice with jeans, surprisingly almost dressy!

Great shoe. I run Tough Mudders and Obstacle races so I was looking for a shoe that can handle some abuse.Worked great looking forward to my next event with these shoes.

Thru hiked the LT in Vermont in these. Awesome grip and great comfort. Vermont is very rocky and these saved me from at least a couple falls. Soft tread, 273 miles of Vermont rocks pretty well did the tread in. I will buy another pair.

I bought these shoes a few weeks ago and I can only confirm that they are really great trail running shoes. They are very light, comfortable and have an excellent grip. However, I guess that they will tend to wear out quite fast if used on rocky trails. I would recommend them.

I've had these shoes a year and a half. I've run long distances as well as weight lifted in them. I also wear them to work every day (I'm a registered nurse). They are comfortable in all conditions and I couldn't be more pleased. Never had a shoe this comfortable. I recommend them to anyone who brings up the conversation.
