Very disappointing fit. I really struggled to get the boot on because it is VERY narrow at the ankle. When I did finally wiggle my foot into the boot, it felt about a whole size too big.

I think this is a great all-purpose winter boot that manages to combine style with function. I ordered my normal size, a 7.5, and the boots fits great. I have room to wiggle my toes which is important for long days of walking. I am anxious to see how these boots perform in rain and snow. I have been wearing them for two weeks now but we have had minimal rain. I'm hoping they truly are weather resistant. The footbed is very comfortable and provides some arch support. I have worn these for an entire day with a good amount of walking and my feet felt great. A note about the narrow ankle area: They can be a little difficult to get on with the narrow ankle area. I generally wear skinny jeans tucked into these boots. Sometimes I will roll/cuff my skinny jeans once and then put them on so that any extra bulk from the jeans is above the narrow ankle area. Once on, they are completely comfortable around my ankle. I wouldn't let the ankle area discourage you from purchasing these.

I love these boots more than words can say. They're insanely comfortable, stylish, and warm. They fit my athletic calves with ease, and have narrow ankles so they're shapely. The rubber sole adds grip and a will put a bit of a spring in your step. Love. Love. Love.

Great riding boot! Extremely sturdy and comfortable as I have expected based on previous experience with Merrell. Fits my wide foot, high instep, narrow ankles, and athletic calves. I need wides in most brands, but Merrell medium width works for me.

These boots are fabulous! They are comfortable and great for inclement weather or just strolling around.They are warm yet stylish. I highly recommend them!

These are the best boots I have ever owned. Comfortable cushion bottom, fashionable features, and stain and water proof to boot. (Get it?) I highly recommend these boots. Worth the price!

I love these boots. Took a while to break in and I still need a shoe horn to get my foot in there, but don't be fooled into getting a larger size. They are true to fit.

Extremely comfortable shoe, great for walking city blocks, which is what I needed. Like other reviewers have stated, it is a challenge at first to get your foot in the boot, but after two wears, I'm no longer struggling at all, which is great. I have a medium-wide foot, which is probably why I felt that the boot fit true to size (I have plenty of breathing room for my toes, even with a pretty thick sock on). I love the style, and I love that the shaft of the boot has some stretch in it.

I have a high arch, narrow heel & somewhat wide forefoot. I sometimes take 1/2 size down in boots to 7 & 1/2 - instead of the 8 I wear in most shoes. Since I generally use Superfeet insoles in all my shoes, I was going to go with the 8, but they were loose around heel/ankle so went with the 7 1/2. Room to tuck in jeans or heavy socks. Plenty of room around toe box. More matte than glossy, which I like. I think I would like a little more of a heel, but still a pretty stylish product for a waterproof boot.

They arrived today! And I love them! I have been searching for over a year. I am so glad that Zappos lets you search according to calf size. Back to the boots, they are so comfortable!

I'm glad to see Merrell brought this one back for fall! I got them first in black and then the tan, I liked them so much. They have pretty much everything you could ask for. They're comfortable, extremely cute with their equestrian styling, and waterproof to boot. I ditched my wellies after buying these -- why walk around in rubber boots when you can be stylish and keep your feet dry? The only minor issue with them is that the zipper doesn't go down quite far enough, so it can be tricky to get your foot in at first until it stretches a bit. I have a hard time finding tall boots that are narrow enough for my calves. These are a little wide for me to wear with skirts but fit nicely with skinny jeans. There is elastic for a little more stretch if your calves are a little larger.

Great boot! I've worn them in wet and dry weather and they have not let me down. Look great and feel great. The one downfall is that they are tight around my calf... so tight that I'm not able to wear with jeans, only leggings.

These boots are amazing. I have oddly shaped feet, and I'll admit that it took me a few (uncomfortable) weeks to break them in. But now they're the most comfortable footwear I own. I like to wear them with leggings and a dress or skirt--they're essentially the only shoes I wear in the winter. So good.

Great boot! Nice slim fit at ankle. Calf is not overly generous so some might have trouble wearing over jeans as there is no stretch at all. Leather is soft - shows markings but that's the type of leather it is. If you want smooth and dressy, this might not work.

Very comfortable. I am on my feet all day, and I could still go out dancing that night. They are plain, but stylish enough to where to work. I live in Michigan, so I love that they are waterproof. Highly recommend.

Love 'em, very comfortable, cushy footbed. Fit my athletic calves, and I can actually wear pants tucked into the boot, which is a first for me. I am getting the black pair too.

I love these boots! They are very comfortable, can walk in them all day. They are tighter around the ankle, so pants need to be leggings or skinny jeans/jeggings, at least for me. I get tons of compliments when I wear these boots. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. True to size.

These boots are wonderful if you live in a place that often has cold and wet weather. They are practical and fashionable at the same time. I loved how comfortable they are as well.

Great casual waterproof boot. Foot shape is just right. Can insert orthotics with zipper down. I have skinny calves and these and a little large so they stick out slightly on the side but I still love them.

These boots are great and very comfortable to walk in. They fit perfectly. I am 5'11" and a runner and the boots were not tight at my calves. I highly recommend them for both comfort and style.

I am thrilled with this boot! It has helped me brave the winter elements of the Midwest in style. The fit was true to size. This boot does not feel bulky and has great arch support. I will buy another pair in a different color.

I have been searching for a high boot! Well the search is over! I love these boots ordered a 10.5 and they fit great, enough room to wear a thick boot sock. I found no problem with them being tight At the ankle (I am 5'9) with coverage size calves they have ample rm for wearing with skinny jeans or just socks. Thanks Merrell.
